  1. There's only 4 days left! (Sorry!)
  2. After every game Eustace is careful to emphasise our lack of finishing and the dire need for a striker. I hope someone ifs listening.
  3. Indeed I am! I think I've said what wanted to. Several factors came into play to create this demand and they were obvious to me! Even now they can't simply make every seat available though the demand is clear.
  4. ie it was a special occasion as is this game. The tenner shows the interest and affection is still there but the prices are too high. I'm not suggesting we should have charged a tenner for this game by the way Still say that the demand for tickets for this game was entirely predictable, the admin is out of touch.
  5. But we did have 27000 against Oxford in League One.
  6. That's only true for a normal club.
  7. We won't agree, you've ignored the evidence I gave. Leave it there.
  8. See 2nd post on this subject above from me. You'd have to be deaf, blind and dumb not to expect this game to be so keenly anticipated.
  9. Don't agree. We had our best result for years against Burnley and were robbed of victory by a terrible off-side decision and we can ten men for a long period. Additionally we've just won 6 in a row! Plus its the New Year period when fans come back home from all over the place and want to recreate their childhood memories. The appetite for this game is immense and I think it was absolutely forecastable (if that word exists!). Anyway the Club should be creating a positive message about this game form the off not reluctantly opening up yet another area as the demand becomes apparent even to them.
  10. You can foresee it without writing about it. I personally thought that performance at the Turd gave us an appetite for the return. A good chance of winning after all these years. But you keep on defending the club's actions whatever they do, you're well known for it.
  11. I would have given Burnley fans 7000 tickets on a promise they would reciprocate when we played at the Turd. Win-Win. I agree with Josh, we have a hopeless admin who couldn't foresee the demand (although we could) and can't adapt their rigid thinking to cope with it. Pitiful, simpler to sell another player instead if we need money.
  12. And this is where the inadequacy of the squad overall comes into play and rivals pull ahead. Not possible to go 46 games without losing much of your squad along the way. This is why we start to drop in form Christmas onwards.
  13. I prefer to solve a Sudoku.
  14. Looks more like 42!
  15. So what does he do well then? He scored a fantastic goal at QPR (was it?) once. I can't remember much else and he's been here a while.
  16. Its simple---he's gone but we can't let go. That's the impression he made on us. Because he is such a beautiful football player, so unaffected and clearly loved the Club. So we loved him and we still do.
  17. I just read the LT article and I agree it doesn't sound promising. He's clearly bemoaning the loss of John Park and annoyed there's been no replacement and does't seem to know what's going on. Only at Ewood you'd think.
  18. Beck is a key figure for us now. Will go on to great things I imagine. We should be desperate to keep him for what we hope is our promotion drive.
  19. A lot of those wins should have been greater than 1-0----we just miss too many good chances. So, yes, those games were more entertaining than the score line suggests. Just highlights again the need for a more competent striker or two.
  20. Travis arguably our player of the season. Forcing him out last season to save his wage looks an abominable decision from so many angles. Thank goodness he's got guts and has chosen to show his real value rather than throwing his toys out of the pram. His dignified response is in stark contrast to the behaviour of those who made the club a laughing stock last season. I really thought we were doomed this year and can hardy believe how its been turned around, but Travis can be proud of his role in it.
  21. Good point, me not devious enough to think of that one!
  22. So why don't they sell?
  23. If we're broke and we clearly are, why wouldn't we welcome the money from several thousand Burnley fans? Is it to prevent us losing? If so it hasn't worked for years has it? If support were a big factor we wouldn't win any away game would we? And we still beat Leeds! So it doesn't make any sense to me.
  24. Aussies will have him for breakfast.
