  1. That would be typical here though, struggle with the strongest squad you've had. Then decide to cut it right back and depend on the kids and the manager whose blown your money and taken you to 15th place.

And expect it to be so much better !

All whilst his mate has sat in the background trying to sell half the training ground.

  2. Exactly, he's the architect of his own and the teams downfall.

Also going off what he's said recently we can expect a few good resounding home wins in Aug/Sept.  Then again in April/May but in between when the British weather kicks in as it does every year we can expect to struggle again.

This being down to HIS brand of football not suiting a norther English climate.  Why does he never get pulled up on such tosh ?

Laying the groundwork for a summer of signing freebies and loans to "suppliment" the young squad we have.

Then of course a season of failure lies ahead with the mantra being they are a young team, learning the game, getting to grips with the rigours of the championship.

    Back on with another journey.

It's no wonder Mowbray moans about not seeing his family who live like a couple of hours away.

When he sets off there's no way he hops onto the A59, more like he drives to Hull first then follows whatever coast road back up to Teeside.  He does loves a long drawn out journey that fella.

Never known anyone with so little urgency his teams reflect that. Expect to be told next season how he's holding the young side back for their own good because they have to learn.

I d like to think of the narrative of having two left backs ..Pickering and Bell vying for the position ..one stepping up a division with someone pushing him and and an adequate back up having played at this level .

Remember Bell was the leading light when we signed him from L1 ..history could quite easily repeat itself with Pickering.

The main thing is can he defend first and foremost and will he be allowed to concentrate on that.  Or have they bought him more for his attacking/crossing ability ?

If so then expect another Bell, that's what made him stand out at Fleetwood.

I don’t like this reality reversing narrative where we were somehow wrong to release Bell. Let’s be Frank, he was absolutely garbage for at least 80% of the times he pulled the shirt on. Good riddance.

Player whose contract is running out suddenly turns in a few barnstormers shocker.

It's as old as the hills that caper.

Joshua Buatsi live on Sky tomorrow night.

This lad seems to steamroller everyone thats put in front of him, nobody to touch him at light heavy, eventually he'll make the step up, be interesting to see how effective he is at that level and weight.

Another reason i'd like to see the back of Fury & AJ once they've settled matters then the HW div might regain some normality.

Those 2 have all the belts which is great from a British perspective but at the same time it ties them all up. Wilder held the WBC belt hostage for 4 years fighting tin cans, now covid & Fury combined have meant nothing happens with that again.

All eyes on those 2 whilst their promoters drag the life out of it all. Be more fun if the belts got splintered again imo. All this one face one name is all well and good but if as expected Fury prevails what then ?

Is he going to fight all his mandos and try to dominate the division like a great Undisputed HW does ?  Like Ali. Lewis, Tyson ?   Is he bollocks he'll piss around and hang on to them as long as he can.

Better for boxing if Joshua ices him, at least we know he'll step up for the mandos. Also he might lose again so things get interesting again.

Otherwise it's Fury fighting cans again once or twice a year.

    Indeed.

Good job we've got an astute operator in the transfer market like Tony ultimately making the decisions on recruitment and Mark Venus getting the deals over the line.

    Oh wait...........

Just wait till he installs his new head of recruitment.  It'll be interesting what calibre the next set of loans are.

  8. No issue with Bennett actually staying the only issue - like many - is how the manager uses him.

Good news on Nyambie, probably just gives them more time to cash in on him though.

Bell it sounds like he's leaving because he wants to so fair enough.

Chapman i really don't understand but some is probably making something from loaning him out.

They are going to have to pull off some blinders this summer to ensure heads above water.

  9. Who in their right mind regardless of age thinks we are anything like the Premier League BRFC ?  Even of the later years in there ?

The guy is infuriating and insulting he'll literally say anything to spin his own agenda now.  If we had any real Rovers connected directors i'm sure one of them would've flattened him by now.

As it is on we plod to the tune of a self serving loser mentality manager and a set of detached box tickers.

  10. Let's not present Fury as some bastian of all that's right either he's one of the biggest tits on the planet.  Both are over rated greed driven lanky gits who've benefited from such a weak era. Yet whoever wins this will then get tagged with being one of the all time greats.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Well I will not piss on the fire, that's for sure

He took to pissing in fans pockets and telling them it's raining 18 months ago.

Unless the summer is unexpectedly kind we are going down next season unless there are 3 worse teams. He managed to win about 3 out of 20 or something second half of this season with the strongest squad hes had.

Weaken it and well what can we really expect, alarm bells should be ringing loud and clear in VH group HQ.  Having seen it with Kean then Coyle are they really still that stupid and ignorant to think history doesn't repeat itself as many times as you let it.

  12. Travis has been hampered with numerous knocks this season, or so we are told, so it's bound to have an impact. However i'm not altogether keen on what they seem to be trying to turn him into.

Yet another though whose more suited to a quicker tempo more in your face style instead of what we try and play.  So it's hard to tell if he's stalled or is just going through the motions being told what to do.

Either way a player like him should be having his good points encouraged not shackled.

I thought Ben showed flashes last year, without setting the Heather fully ablaze.

If Tony is staying, Next year, I think he might put Brereton through the middle where Armstrong has been playing, and buy in a wide player or two. I think Ben is ready for that role now, he seems a bit stronger.

He'll not change the habit of a lifetime it's what he does and how hes always worked. These are the things that define Tony Mowbray as bang average to poor at everywhere hes been in the last decade.

If he was a results driven manager he wouldn't do the things he does but he isn't hes admitted as much.  I think if he did resort to that it would be because there is virtually no brass available for any kind of Arma replacement.

Back on BB even though he's a few years older and a bit more experienced now. Would anyone even go anywhere near 7 million to sign him ?

  14. If a guy who's suppose to have a bit of clout and is the direct line to the owners constantly hides in the shadows it's for good reason.

Another who doesn't want to be held accountable for anything.  We have a manager who sidesteps everything, a CEO who is almost invisible. Owners who we don't even know if they are all actually still breathing it's been that long since anything was heard from the horses mouth.

The food chain at Ewood provides great shields to all in passing the blame. Yet quite possibly one of the main reasons for this is often here in Blackburn.

Old school journalism would have dug him out years ago, a genuine board of directors would've held him to account as well.

It's time he stepped forwards and showed a pair.

  15. Are they walking into it willingly though ?   It looked suspiciously like they did last time, even Shaw warned it was coming 6 months earlier. Nobody did anything though then once it was upon us it triggered the start of the sales.  Taps off, cost cutting, unable to re-invest allegedly, Owen Coyle, Tony Mowbray, relegation.

All the hallmarks are here again but like last time those in the middle of it all still draw their wages and bonuses.
