The bar isn't high though and he's often responsible directly or indirectly for an opposition goal. Wasn't today so i'll take that it's a plus as far as he's concerned. Totally agree we need a proper left back i don't rate the lad at all and just hope the manager shows some more steel and gets one in. This in recent years has been a big reason why we haven't moved on as maybe we should, the old over loyalty or trying to get away with what he has when he's had opportunities to improve it. He'll rue it at some point if he doesn't strengthen that position, we all will.

Bells played today, done well but it'll be one of his easiest tests this season next one won't be. Clean sheet and 5 goals means the whole team and subs and manager have done their jobs beyond expectations. Tonight is one for giving them ALL a toast before the boozers get kyboshed again. Hopefully the jerks on Bells twitter will have a night off tonight and a bit of rare praise builds hi confidence, he needs it.

Long way to go yet for Dolan but just shows how crazy this league is and how every young player should get some sort of chance in it. -

Wonderful stuff good to see all guns blazing and looking to put a side to the sword once there were on the ropes. It'll rarely deliver that result but same attitude needs applying all season then we might take a few real steps forward. Wycombe will struggle badly this season, nobodies fault just don't think they are equipped for this league at all yet. -
If they only sell 3 or 4k STS anyway then they won't open all the stands. It's like the govt pretending they aren't going to lockdown again at some point. My guess is they'll put all STS in the JW stand unless the number puts a real strain in distancing measures. Then BBE lower for any single match tickets if applicable. He'll be working on the speach for that right now.

Whilst iv'e long thought Suhail is more than just a messenger boy and think he might represent more than the Rao's at Ewood i'm not sure i'm swallowing it's all down the him. Swaggo has got them all going down the 'great guy' route now but look beyond that and he'll be just be another self serving suit. He's finding it hard to drive crowds up even before this impossible scenario. Prices would likely have risen anyway and like promotion i think he's just spotted the opportunity to bump then now. Squeeze what you have whilst you can, remit should be get as many back however you can. Less isn't more in Blackburn.

That's what has happened since they walked through the door they've reduced the whole product to less than half what it was. Hand in hand they've reduced the income that was already there and guaranteed to something around probably a quarter of what it was. Then added to it with their own and their advisory friends antics. I think some need regular reminders of this when the little choruses of blame the fans and 'the owners are doing their bit' start up. It's all at their door so the mess they've made needs heavily subsidizing and unfortunately that includes the fanbase in this area.

Kind of like exerting his control by the sounds of but i suppose he's feck all else to do to justify his position. I bet he passes off all the good suggestions as his own to his boss Barry then blames all the cock ups of the rest of them. Double agent.

Likes of Gallagher would benefit no end from that.

Serial ivory towered brass necker.

A completely cherry picked example there but you are another who only ever pops up with this kind of stuff purposely missing the point. That Fulham game was one game so no it wasn't normally cheaper at Hyde than Ewood apart from that one game. Nice generalization ! Hyde charging that knowing that only a couple of hundred hardcore will pay it and it's their core income by loyal fans so they aren't being fleeced. How would they react if it was hiked up beyond what is deemed acceptable by most ? Comparisons to non league are complete nonsense to be honest.

Who says he isn't ? A few do a good impression of being him ?

He's been very well looked after here and very fortunate imo as at times in the past its looked like BRFC just managed him for international duty. Under Mowbray though hes given us some payback in spells so it's possible his little routine was sussed by a more experienced manager. Besides i'm sure a boss in the past maybe Bowyer said Evans has a problem that needs careful managing or it would mean big surgery and lay off. -

Could be resting on getting someone out though, Mulgrews wages would come in handy. -
For some reason i thought Harper came from somewhere else but i take your point. Mine still stands though on the point about they can't be surprised at the wages quoted but no way are half the Prems kids on that money. So it's fair to presume he's referring to enquires at the likes of City/Chelsea/Liverpool etc. It's nice they want quality youth but as mentioned it represents false economy when you are just finishing midtable and only seem to aim for marginal gains. However there will be some good ones to be had from other Prem clubs but going off the ones listed he seems to want flash types and they just aren't suited to our style or this league really. Didn't we have some kid from Chelsea fairly recently or am i mixing names up again ? Not Kane, i mean under Mowbray.
-
Like i said originally the min we are in for an ex Boro lad we land them but seem to miss everything else. He's more or less confirming in that that it isn't always down to money he isn't doing the convincing selling job on them. Comments also on good young players on 1.5 mill per year but no way on earth are they all on that. He only seems to look at City/Chelsea and Liverpools good youngsters so i don't know what they expect. There are lots of others out there and other clubs manage it yet again it's like Rovers are unique in this situation. Out of all the top club young loanees we've had only really one was really looking like he warranted the hype. Think outside the box a bit and look a bit deeper than the fanciful stuff.

Speaking of Wycombe the time Simon Garner took Nob End to the cleaners at Wembley whilst playing for them was a thing of beauty. Since they got back in this division their fans have been like Burnley fans on acid it's hilarious to observe that Rovers chip on their shoulders the size of Ewood. They've punched way above their weight last few years mainly due to their bold manager and Uncle Racehorse but he's no Jack Walker or even Venkys. The sales will come around soon then they'll combust.

Think i'd look to loan Davenport if they aren't going to use him, wouldn't close the door completely yet. Evans is Evans he merits a place in the squad but given his injuries, his international commitments and wages i think i'd take the chance to move him on if there was a good offer. Only if we were replacing him with something good though like Whiteman otherwise i'd get rid of Johnson and look to phase Evans out this season unless he proves otherwise.
-
Yep bring a better one in and move one out, that's how improving is done.

If the right manager had got hold of him at the right time he'd still have been a terrible footballer but they might have made something of his graft and fitness. Our academy experts should've made him into a right back but there's no money in that they saw £££ from marketing him as this all action midfielder then selling him. Allardyce or Hughes might have done summat with him for a while but his emergence was with that conman so true to form everybody got conned for a while. Probably including the player himself into thinking he was better than he was, somebody should have had him watching endless vids of Savage and those types. Even harrassing in midfield and closing down is an artform any fit player can do the headless chicken routine. Number of times teams walked straight through the great holes he left used to boil my blood. -
Mowbray usually is said to have certain fitness criteria that has to be met. Wouldn't be surprised if Ayala has to wait a while. Probably all centres around what they are doing with Williams.
-
If nobody is offering Maddison anything there must be a good reason, or bad one more likely. Unless he's just another thick greedy footballer holding out for money above his station.....whilst earning nothing.

Who was it Nixon was saying was eyeing up a 5 million bid about 5 years ago ? Some say TM should've been sacked for signing Brereton. Well Gary should have fell on his sword because of his obsession with this lad. -

Shades of Luton Town in this one but i think we'll get the draw in the end. Be interesting seeing if Ainsworth can out think Mowbray tactically. Rovers 2 Wycombe 2
