Seen us struggling for goals so has told TM he's coming back to re-establish himself as one of our main goal getters.... ? -

Maybe maybe not i thought they were going to sit down and discuss it near or at the end of the season. In any case so what if it did if he was involved more and contributing something it shouldn't matter. Phase him out next season or loan him out in summer if you want some of his wages off the bill. Fact is if your going to have a good season you need to use your best goalscorer. More so now with what is going on, so non football reasons at play again. -
Well Madame; Bradley was playing well and was going to shoot us to the play offs then he was going to West Bromwich for 12 million of our English pounds. My agent friends had it sorted. That would pay off our overdraft and in turn cover what we've spewed, sorry spent on Brereton, Armstrong and Gallagher, your 'investments'. They'll all sit and nod at Mr Tony's hard luck story. Would be nice if just one of them asked why did you hinge all this on one footballer !

The injury to Dack is both a blow and a blessing to the manager really in some ways. As well as losing his talisman whose form virtually drives the team he's got a credible reason to buy himself more time. If he was serious about the play offs he'd be on the blower to them saying if you want a shot we have to get quality in. Really doesn't strike me as that type and they in turn if they were serious would be on at him we want to see some progress still you've got a big squad, here is the ok to get some more in to help push on. The current situation though puts real focus on him and his 3 amigo signings i'm not sure why so many are giving him a free pass on this. They were signed to cover and eventually replace the talisman so now is the time to step up. The manager would help if he set up to get the best out of them, i think he's doing ok with Armstrong to be fair. And up to recently i think he managed Graham well but now is trying to freeze him out. As for the other 2 he clearly hasn't got a scooby what they are all about. -

They'll persist with Armstrong he'll get a few goals and increase his value i very much think he's this seasons project for that. Also it still gives tactical Tony license to move Gally there every now and then to keep him involved and pacify those who've signed off the deal. Why would he spend money they haven't got and threaten that scenario he's created when the only aim is midtable ? -

The moneyball Brentford model now being used as an example to build like after using about 5 other clubs according to excuse needed will need better recruitment than that. They are the very types you should be getting for a few hundred grand and low wages, polishing then punting on for double the money without it being too much of a loss to the best 11. Fail. -

All anyone needs to do is watch his goals for Rovers back from the beginning, the build ups as well. I always said part of GB's rather annoying two deep defensive mids was to draw the opposition on and create space up top. A . for Rhodes B. for his wrong sided wingers to cut in. It was often flawed because teams found it too easy to play through us and he himself had no idea about setting up a good back 4 but if nothing else it got the best out of Rhodes. And Rudy briefly. -

Makes perfect sense, most creative player out, big striker struggling for goals and team in general = answer get them some service. Mowbrays answer - keep shuffling the pack until you drop on something that works, then alter it again after a couple of weeks because you want your 6'3" striker to stop their left back ! -

JUst no point whatsover paying 30 grand a week for a good championship striker only to see him rotated and have to bed into 'our' oh so successful systems. -

Been hinting at this stuff for ages but no one takes it on. Presumably the nice guy angle shields it. Still the same old avenues providing players etc. Then some wonder why we don't go after x,y,z It's all about who brings them to the table. You only have to look at the BB, Gallagher, Walton signings. Very poor judgement but why ? How much is spaffed there and how much commission ? It stinks, people need to wake up again I'm afraid. We are still a vehicle for the same old connections. Now back to that flag.... -

Didn't know he only had 6 months left. I think we know what's going to happen here. He's a Mowbray signing, probably won't be on big money........ -

Then there's no point having him around but he's here. Your missing the point a bit as when he has had a game where he hasn't ballsed up he still gets the hook. It doesn't help any player good or bad being in and out of a side at the gaffers whom I don't care how it's dressed up. How many players and how many times do we see it though. It's a flawed logic if you want to improve players. -

Not a Bell rater but I really think now the time has come to give him a run of games. Can't help the guy being in and out all the time. Getting hooked after a half decent game for accomodation dressed as being tactical. Leave him in there let him settle and find some form. They'll know then in a few months if he can really cut it. If not fire him off but for god's sake stop the stupid pointless rotating that goes against any semblance of consistency. -
Said it a dozen times but the best hope is to rumble on this season. Finish similar to last then just hope he realises he's taken us as far as he can and decides to remove himself from what will eventually be a shit storm next season if things start badly. Mutual consent, shake hands and thanks for the hard work.

There's nothing to quash it's fact, 6 or 7 million Mowbray himself has said it a few times and most will have been tipped up now. Sorry but this isn't a Jordan Rhodes 2 mill per season over 4 years job or a Scott Dann rising to 6 million if he plays 500 games and turns out for England. Many pants have been pulled down and the club accounts have a 6 million pound hole in them. -

two in for the price and wages of one Assombalonga and Gayle plus potential sell ons if it works. That's the way we have to operate there's nothing wrong with that approach as long as the right people are orchestrating it and looking in the right places. Seems here we are back to only going for big players presented by those close to the club or manager. Leaves a very sour taste again and something that even if it isn't a bit stinky it still holds the club back, it's happened many times in the past ten years. What role does the middleman play in all this i wonder ? -

Best way to look at the Dack sale is this, they might have sold this window if there'd been a nice big enough bid to consider it. Otherwise his name would've been circulated in summer and behind the scenes they'd have been actively trying to punt him through 3 rd parties. Pretty standard stuff really and something we all knew was going to happen at some point anyway. -
Great effort from them it means a good day out regardless of the frustrating square pegs in round holes crap that keeps getting served up.
-
Fact is until there is someone either very good in high office operating independent of the manager or someone with BRFC and it's best interests first and foremost in their hearts nothing will ever change. All far to cosy again in house now at Ewood and open to misleading decisions but the Vs will only operate that way.
-
Unless Madame jumped on a plane over here with her lawyers and sorted it herself, somehow using her own money then any ground sale/lease or whatever under this lot would spell outright disaster. Yes there might be a bit of immediate money but it wouldn't be funding a promotion drive it'd be just keeping us above water. With all the scrotes and middlemen and advisors let alone the often clueless already there half of it would be pilfered. As we've seen it would be pointless giving Mowbray, Venus and Waggot a spending pot i wouldn't trust them going to the chippy with my dinner money right now. I've always suspected despite the investment that it was a case of growing another team to flog off again. Get that money back with a bit on top to pay down the BOI overdraft from running costs, all the flies around the pot get their % and then go again.
-
That's a good point so if that version is the right one then the picture should be a bit brighter. Still doesn't mean there's anything left in this seasons budget and we are still set to rack up another massive loss next season as it is. However it could also be being banded about as a convenient excuse not to make any decent signings. Gally, Downing, Holtby, Tosin, Cunningham, Walton were a heck of a commitment already this season can't be much room after that lot.
-
Just how long before Waggot, Venus and co are advising selling part of Brockhall ? Going down the Coventry route, that'd be another amazing Venky era coincidence these lot pitching up here with that form.
-
If this is actually correct i'd sack the fercking lot of them tomorrow for being so reckless, some might say acting in other interests. Back to square one but the way Mowbray handles the team and tactics and Waggot the DE and tickets etc i'd say the pair of them are operating a league or two above their abilities.
