  1. That's what you get with enigmas if they play 40 games the team will have to carry them in 20 but it only takes a touch to score or set up a goal obviously. Key is learning how to manage them so he shouldn't be immune to getting the hook in games or being dropped when he isn't putting it in. You need leaders on the pitch in his earhole all the time when he's not pulling his weight.
  2. Dacks mind is clearly elsewhere but it often is, wouldn't surprise me if TMs letting him play even if he has a knock or strain because he wants him to try and focus otherwise he'd just be off knocking about with the Z listers.
  3. So the club would have to guarantee say ten or fifteen quid a ticket for all concerned so it'll cost therefore it'll never happen ? Would be a nice gesture to regulars and seeing as only 3/4/5k usually turn out early doors it shouldn't be a big deal.
  4. Highly unlikely to get over 20k unless the Swans have a big turn out.
  5. Its been done in the distant past so I presume the rules must've changed ? I do believe there was a grey area as to how the gate money was split though.
  6. Carrot crunchers If things hadn't been going well we could've been treated to a bit of the old 'Let's be avin ya' from a well refreshed Delia.
  7. They could do worse than throw in the early midweek cup games for free if there's a significant hike.
  8. Exactly ! We just cannot generate enough through the doors for it to make a significant difference and the way the club is run and funded has proved it doesn't matter a jot. In the days before Jack WAlker and the media funded circus of football it would've made all the difference in the world but now in the days of billionaire owners who are happy to write off ten to fifteen million per annum on their company books it matters not a jot. More like having extra directors in Blackburn needs extra revenue but maybe just maybe Stevie boy is looking to pay for the young lads sat in the backrooms watching videos and Tonys air fares in the new quest for the next Tugay !
  9. Or being afforded enough games to trigger a years extension ? He's a TM signing after all and Tony looks after his players.
  10. Dino Baggio and Dario Marcolin had the same spotless kit issues, good passers of the ball but any English league midfielder needs to do a hell of a lot more than just jog stroll waiting for the ball.
  11. When Shaw was here and cardboard Mike also did his stint their remits appeared to be cut costs. Now Waggot is here his remit seems to be increase revenue however you see fit, he has to justify his salary after all. There's been rumours since Shaw that they've wanted to increase ST prices considerably year on year but its been overruled. Now they have a guy who's hard headed enough to do it regardless so it's the future, get used to it folks this could lead to the excuse they need to shut more of the ground ! However if the price rises went hand in hand with a summer spending spree on players that might nicely balance things a bit......
  12. You just never can tell at all with these lot but we have been told in the past the money the club generates here on the ground in Blackburn goes towards running the ground/staff etc etc whilst the wages and football stuff is done directly from India. What we seem to have now is a set of financial/football people trying to follow a plan set out a while back after the audit but as we've seen in the past and probably with the BB signing it can be overruled or taken completely off track at any given moment either by a whim or need for cash. Therefore I think when people at the club are doing their forecasts and sending budget requests to Pune then yes it'll be relevant but maybe not to the recruitment side but to the owners themselves it'll be pretty irrelevant. If they want to sanction a signing whether it be 500k or 5 million they'll sanction it and if they want to sell a player they'll sell em !
  13. Born winners and grafters we need not ones who look like they are doing you a favour turning out for you.
  14. Spot on about Rodwell if we signed him up to a good contract and he was starting every game in the middle next season it wouldn't be 5 mins before people were all over it moaning. Obvious quality on the ball but he just doesn't have the legs for that job week in week out that's why he's ended up as a Championship reserve centre back in the first place. Like Mulgrew he's a luxury player, great to have in the squad but how many can you carry when the wages may be better elsewhere ? We need a proper midfielder and have for years alongside a proper centre half and target man - right down the spine of the team and try and cut out the soft underbelly that's plagued us for years.
  15. I've never rated Hart at all he's probably not as good as serial cock up artist David James as inbetween his flaps James was decent. There's surely a steady experienced keeper out there somewhere who can provide proper competition to Raya without coming with a big time rep and wages. Joe Hart should head to Scotland he'd be ok up there.
  16. Surely it should be the job of scouts to watch these things as it's still scouting. If it's a load of young lads just ticking boxes I think we might have to wait a while for something to be turned up. Might as well get fans to do it, only off here of course seeing as we are now operating in an unofficial advisory capacity ! ?
  17. Read JH's post above, whilst it is needed and admirable that TM seems to be driving it forwards one man can only do so much and I think there's a bit more to it than a few lads watching videos then recommending a senior staff member to go and watch them. The rest of the interview goes a bit more in depth and kind of explains that, just think for a minute of the sheer scale of players and games they'll have to sift through and the miles that will be clocked up. It's another 24/7 arm of the club so someone has to oversee it correctly and the first team managers priority is just that - managing the first team. As for the finance, come on this is football it eats money.
  18. Hope extra funding has been allocated for this Euro venture and it's not eating into any player budget. Probably need a DOF when you are going down this route with big intentions.
  19. In hindsight I probably shouldn't have come up with that, everybody relax you're all 'label neutral' from now on ✌️
  20. Miles away from home. loyal but modest travelling contingent given the tv/distance and ko therefore I see at least 2 of the much maligned 3 coming back in as TM looks to court a bit of favour with his seniors again. Tough trip whenever it comes around down the years and a bit of a graveyard for rovers. Think we'll get hammered then state a bit of a late rally and get some canary nerves jangling a bit. Mulgrew will score if he plays and big Ben will pinch another if he gets a chance. Norwich 3 Rovers 2
  21. The lost souls of BRFCSS.........
  22. People tend to speak as they find going off what they've seen. Now we have the 'hindsighters' after he's finally notched one which was bound to happen sooner or later. Puts to bed the New Chris Brown myth though at least !
  23. Not hating on Samuel I hope he gets fit again and is able to have a long career but I've just never rated him he's poor in front of goal and can be effective because of his size but only puts himself about when he feels like it. Mowbrays handling of him has been a mixture of the way he's handled BB and Nuttall, constantly involved when he's offered nothing and there's been other options seemingly in an effort to justify the signing BUT used out of position and jerked about when he's hit a bit of form instead of letting him nail down a spot. Probably be better getting rid of the pair of them and bringing in some kind of back up who you know has goals in him.
