  1. Have we donated the centre circle to Brentford or has it got planning permission for housing?
  2. Another depressing outing - odd selection - moeen would have allowed a more balanced attack with stone as extra seamer- sibley has become the new undropable - totally worked out at this level - we can't blame the track this time
  3. Is Tom trybul playing some odd game of kabaddi where he holds his breath when he crosses the halfway line then has to return to his own half every 20seconds?
  4. On the bbe as a teenager in the 70s I used to stand near a chap who's only meaningful tactical contribution was to shout 'get up bloody field' every 2 minutes - I seem to have turned into him... 🙄
  5. Tippy tappy pitty patty tippy tappy pitty patty tippy tappy pitty patty tippy bloody patty - Mowbray will be delighted with the possession stats - he is the most stubborn inflexible tactician 🙄
  6. Thanks for confirming what Ive been trying to explain to non blackburnians since I left 40 yrs ago Barm cake - bit like mini sottie better a bit brunt teacake - better pronounced as tahcake softer sweeter and no bloody currants currant teacake - has currants... My life is fulfilled....
  7. I coach that mantra too but here there are a couple of other factors - Ashwin has more variation than most and can go both ways the indian spinners are bowling quicker which makes coming down harder - root bowls quicker too and flatter which allows him to go past both edges the pink ball does behave differently - its harder and when it lands off the seam it comes through and bounces more - we saw that earlier
  8. agree that way if it turns you are going to miss it by loads.. could be shortest test since 1935 or even shorter
  9. he spent a lot of time in the centre at loughborough with the temp cranked up to 90f but don't think it was his batting he was working on but he's a very determined lad
  10. totally agree this must be the longest tail in history he is a 10 at best - meanwhile Woakes is off home the tour is unravelling in ' rotation.....'
  11. I can't disagree about technique which has been exposed on both sides but the first test was played on a track that only started turning end of day 2 and was a far better spectacle
  12. no they have prepped a pich to favour their spinners but the surface and the unpredictability of the pink ball has devalued the game
  13. no idea what this is but its not test cricket - going to be over in 2 days... think id rather watch rovers - but on second thoughts maybe not....
  14. the problem with dack is the entire team has to be set up to cover his limitatations - out left his limitations ie energy work rate speed are cruelly exposed - as is Mowbrays tactical lack of nous
  15. dont think so bud - we are heading for a fall if this goes on - and if you can't see it suggest remove rose tints
  16. come on watford maybe another 4 and the clown will go and take his housing develpment mates with him..
  17. Well I've been mumbling about 3 5 2 for months but with Nyambe on the right of the 3 but he prefers someone he has hardly seen just cos he has to give him minutes on the pitch......
  18. the problem with his softly softly evolutionary approach is that by the time he has bought a few more pieces of his jigsaw someone else has nicked all the bits he has put together - itll never come to fruition and maybe he doesn't want it to- he's not good enought to manage at a level above and I suspect he knows it...
  19. honestly this team should be good enough for the play offs but you could give Mowbray 100million and he would never get us there - needs to go but it wont happen
