  1. We started alright against Rotherham, it was the middle 50 minutes that were poor.
  2. I agree about sticking with Markanday; just not on the wing. Dolan of the bench maybe, Hedges for Dolan.
  3. It was really, a rhetorical question.
  4. I think all the officials involved should discuss the situation and come to a reasoned decission. It works at rugby.
  5. Not football, but one thing that spings to mind looking at those pictures. Where have all the chimneys gone ?
  6. Jobs for the boys.
  7. So do you disagree, that the problem is the judgement of the people watching the video ?
  8. Apart from elite levels, it still is.
  9. For me VAR is not the problem; It is the people employed to interpret it. They seem to be trying to make contentious decissions, rather than correct ones.
  10. What about the rugby ?
  11. Never said you did say otherwise. The youth result was 1-1 against Wolves
  12. It's a good challenge for the youngsters.
  13. In comparison to mens football where would you place the women players at the world cup. I would put them at schoolboy level.
  14. The Brown cow on Livesey branch road.
  15. I would hope, every time the keeper commits a foul.
  16. The challenge was reckless, uncontrolled, and dangerous. That is why it should be a red.
  17. Have the new rules been explained to the players ? If so I have no sympathy with a player who breaks a rule and is punished, then a few minutes later breaks another rule and gets punished again. It is up to the players to manage their own games. Szmodic showed what to do, after his equaliser.
  18. To tell the truth, it doesn't matter what you or I think. Those who make the rules have made a decission and have brought in a rule that can be implemented. The refs have to be consistant in doing that, and the players have to learn quickly. I remember when shouting, leave it, when the opposition were going for the ball was prevalent. This was made illegal and the refs punished it with a freekick; it soon went out of the game.
  19. But holding up a pretend card, with no reaction from the ref, is a signal to the crowd and the assessors that the ref has lost control. If a player says something to the ref, it is between the two of them, and gives the ref the choice of having a quiet word, or booking the player. The new rule about booking a player who waves an imaginary card, has been explained to these players. I realise some players are thick, but I don't think it will be long before waving cards is a thing of the past, if refs are consistant with their punishment.
  20. They are usually on sale to season ticket holders about three weeks before a game, then become available on open sale about a week before the game. So you would be looking at around the last week of September for the Coventry game.
  21. During the warm up at Rotherham, it was good to see Wahlstedt jump over the wall to have selfies with some young Rovers fans.
