  1. Are these substantiated facts, or your opinion
  2. As I wasn't privy to the discussions I cannot say.
  3. I don't think you can discuss with players or their agents outside the windows. I maybe wrong, bizarrely, I am not certain.
  4. I am looking forward to tomorrow.
  5. I would put it down to negotiation
  6. That is one of the reasons scouts and managers are paid.
  7. The fact is you are only chasing players when the transfer windows are open.
  8. I refer to my earlier opinion. It is only embarrassing if he turns out to be a good un. It may be that we have chased him for a year with a value for money figure in mind. Preston may have offered a larger figure. If he is out of our value for money range you pull out of the deal. I don't see any embarrassment in that.
  9. It's only embarrassing if he turns out to be a good player. Lets wait and see.
  10. But what would be the connection to the Rovers?
  11. Colin Hendry, Henning Berg
  12. Probably as soon as an agent took him under their wing.
  13. I think it is more important that we stop conceding the amount of goals that we have been.
  14. I went on the league liner once. Early to mid seventies I think it was to Hereford but I may be mistaken. what a good laugh for a young kid.
  15. Where in any of my posts have I said what I think either Brereton or Nuttalls monetary values are. What I said was that of the two I would prefer Brereton. Let's stop arguing about players we already have on a transfers topic.
  16. because from what I've seen of both of them, which includes quite a bit of Nuttall, when I lived in Aberdeen. I rate Brereton as better of the two. My opinion only.
  17. when have facts ever stopped a good story.
  18. if it is a straight choice between Brereton and Nuttall, I would take Brereton.
  19. Is he a commanding center-half?
  20. I am not saying we don't need to strengthen in the areas that you suggest. but I would not say that keeper was the number 1 priority. How many points did the rest of the team cost us?
  21. As you have pointed out last season buying a striker for the future, probably stopped us curing our center half problem. I don't see how getting a new goal-keeper will cure it this season. Very few people will actually know what our budget is, but I would go down the road of making buys that we need,to cure the faults, then buy players we would like to have, with what's left.
  22. The problem is we have limited financial resources, and at the moment we do not need a keeper, but we do need a center half with leadership qualities. That is where I would like to see our resources go.
