I have been told he kicked the Nobber. To not retaliate to being bitten must be extremely difficult but once he has kicked him it's a red card. I don't think Rovers will appeal it for that reason as provocation won't work in mitigation. I haven't actually seen it but I was told by a friend who was in there in an official capacity.

I would have taken a point at kick off to be honest but the way the game panned out I feeling quite disappointed. For me it was our worst performance of the season as we were far too insipid and lacked and real intensity or cutting edge. We simply didn't take advantage of them going down to ten and in truth we hardly laid a glove on them. We were ponderous and took too many touches in possession. A strong area of Eustace's management so far has been his substitutions but today I thought he left them a touch late. After Beck was sent off they grabbed the initiative and we were hanging on in the end. Once again we will be talking about the officials though and I thought, whilst it was a tough match they caused problems for themselves. The melee from the first red card was preventable if the referee had shown the card immediately. In my experience nothing calms players down like a card being shown. It was messy and unnecessary. I have seen a video of the animal from Preston biting Back and he should get the book thrown at him. Again it was avoidable. If the referee stops the game for the Cantwell challenge instead of being clever trying to play an advantage that was never on it doesn't happen. And if the referee had any understanding of the game he would have known that they would have preferred a free kick as it was their best chance of scoring. All in all a frustrating day but a point on the road and clean sheet are the positives for me.

Adam just didn't look to have his usual confidence on the ball. He could well be carrying an injury but the accuracy and pace of his passing was miles away from where we know it should be. To be truthful the first half just passed him by and he was rightly withdrawn.

Tracking our (outbound) loan players 24/25

I went to Accrington today where Jake Batty excelled and was named man of the match. He played as a left wing back and really worked the line defensively and offensively. Listening to Stanley fans around me they were fulsome in their praise of him for his performances in his first few games. Sadly it didn't end in a Stanley win as they threw away a two goal lead in the last few minutes. -
I blame Mowbray. Alex Neill changed their shape after our second goal and brought on a big lump at centre forward who battered us. When they scored their first the alarm bells were ringing but Mowbray did nothing. Lots of us could see it coming but he didn't. He wasn't a very good tactician and that defeat for me summed him up.

I will never tire of watching this. Goal of the month and could well be goal of the season. Thanks Andi ⚽ -
After being told that our kick off times are cast in stone until early January news of a change to the Leeds game at Ewood on November 30th has been announced. It will now kick off at 1.30 on 'Police advice'. I can't understand how this comes out now when the fixtures have been known for a couple of months. And I'm not sure how much difference it really makes apart from the inconvenience to supporters. Looking at the fixtures that day the Dingles are at Stoke. Perhaps the police are worried about the inbreds and Leeds fans travelling on the trains together. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/september/19/leeds-clash-brought-forward/

Rovers Police have issued a warning that there are only two trains from Blackburn on Sunday morning that will get you there before the noon kick off.

A very good performance from the Rovers under 17's (I wasn't aware until today that was an age group) as we managed to hold City to a creditable draw. We took an early lead and rode our luck at times but two quick goals gave City the initiative but great credit to Rovers as they didn't let it affect them and got the equaliser. City's first goal was a result of the Rovers right back over playing and losing possession. Two fantastic saves from Wolstencroft in the Rovers goal in stoppage time ensured what is a great point in the PL 2 under 17's cup. I liked the look of Joseph Valentin at centre forward. A beast of a big who looks a player. Both centre halves were composed and defended well against City's quick strikers.

On that point I sincerely agree 👍. -

And that went well didn't it. The abject failure of that proves my point that talk of 'projects' in football is folly. -

I couldn't tell at times if he was serious or not as he had that perma smile/smirk on his face in most interviews. -

It seems like Beckham and Neville cleared off well before the end. Cringey is the word I would use too - Sky were orgasmic. On the football side I haven't seen a team as big as Wrexham for a while. It looks like Parkinson wants to kick his way out of League One. -

That wasn't the 'project' that they banged on about. What you are saying isn't a project, it's standard practice at normal clubs. -
It's inevitable we will lose at some point but I will be interested to see how we react. A fundamental difference between the two recent managers for me is that Eustace appears to know how to get a result and the experience he has in the squad will certainly help in this respect.

A Dingle free zone 😄.

I am feeling the same as I read lots of posts expecting to win. However I'm confident now that the people that matter most in this respect, the staff and players will be fully prepared and have a plan to get a result. Winning there would be sweet and it's about time we saw them scurrying home and starting a 'Heckingbottom out' campaign. 😄

Well done.

We originally got 3878, asked for another 1000 and then a further 800.

Winning games gives you the ultimate goal of promotion. -
I really wouldn't even consider leaving Ohashi out. His mobility is better than that of Gueye and in a game in which I believe there will be few chances his goal to chances ratio is far better than any other player. Gueye is a decent option off the bench depending on how things go.

Why on earth you reply to something that irks me (clearly you must have liked it) I have no idea. Actually the project was to develop young players to sell on it you listened to Broughton. He talked about becoming self sufficient as part of the project. -

I liked Tomasson but used to get really irked with the 'project' that him and Broughton referred to regularly. The only 'project' I'm interested in is winning games by any means. Eustace is on the same page. -

Did anybody else see Pears waving an imaginary yellow card after he was clattered late by a Bristol player in the second half? And Madueke of Chelsea did exactly the same in tonight's game with no punishment. -
