Has anybody heard about a BCD game this week or next week? I have been told one has been arranged but not the date. I also heard the players have been given a few days off next week so if that's true the game is likely to be this week. -
There is a mention of a slight groin injury which is hampering his general fitness. Hopefully a good rest will help his recovery.

Adam has withdrawn from the England under 21 squad. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c5y5zr5rjx8o

A watchable game at Leyland last night. A hard working Colchester side pretty much stopped Rovers from playing their passing game but Rovers were a threat getting in behind as both full backs were bombing on. Barrett saved a penalty and made some good saves and Powell looked decent again but on the night it was more a case of grafting and matching Colchester's energy. Sometimes it's substance over style and this game was one of them.

It should also be about protecting the referee. He has to live in an area populated by Rags and will have to go about his daily business. There will always be the odd nutjob who bears a grudge should they perceive a decision has gone against them. The rule of thumb when I was on that you wouldn't referee a team from your home county unless it was a local derby. One of the reasons I believe they do it now is because there are only a handful of referees who are good enough to do the top games.

Shouldn't that podcast be named 'From the Arse Hole End'? 😄 -

I saw several comments from their lot who said, in a disparaging way that our performance reminded them of the way they played under Dyche. He got them promoted twice and kept them in the Premier League against the odds for a few seasons. And they loved him and the way he set his team's up. An odd lot. -

There are two under 21 games scheduled before we play Bristol City (Tuesday 3rd and Thursday 12th). Hopefully some of the players needing game time will play a part in these. -

The start was in contrast to the other three games when we started quickly. My thought was that it was part of the game plan to slow the play down, frustrate the players and crowd. The goal killed that but once we opened up and put a few tackles in we were fine. -
He deliberately pulled back one of our players denying us the chance to move into an advantageous position in the first half. His four or five roll reaction in the second half in our penalty area was embarrassing and simulation of the highest order.

I'm just watching the second biggest derby in Britain this weekend and seeing what is arguably the worst Rangers team I can remember. Celtic are so far ahead it's scary. And we certainly dodged a bullet by not signing Matondo. He looks like a little boy lost.

They have poor memories these Dingles. They celebrated this late equaliser by Vokes as if they had won the Champions League. And it was 11 v 11. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/20483944 -
Foster was lucky not to get two yellows. If anything Esteve fouled Hedges in that incident and hopefully given you seem to be fair minded you will see that. The offside is a bread and butter decision which is clearly wrong. Some of the free kicks he gave you particularly late on (when the pressure was ramped up) were unfathomable. The game was too big for him and him and at times he was losing control.

Your last paragraph is pretty accurate and particularly the fight we showed which is what pleased us greatly. I notice you didn't mention the referee though.

I refused to watch the first series as they were winning particularly against us. I watched the second series though because they were losing lots of games and their misery was a source of merriment for me. Kompany giving it the big 'un on the training ground is well worth a watch. The meeting about increasing the atmosphere by appointing a drummer is really funny. They actually have a Fan Experience Director. 😂😂

Richie Smallwood? 😂

That was the catalyst for the sending off. Had he done his job and correctly cautioned the Burnley player with an early yellow card it would have killed the incident dead. I'm not excusing Gueye here but there is culpability in the referees part. Hopefully his coach points this out to him. -
I must be getting too old for this game 😁. It used to be so simple.

John Eustace - our head coach

The jury was out for me when he came in but I was swayed towards him after the win at Leeds and Leicester where he showed terrific tactical acumen. He has revamped the squad and seems to recognise that experience is vital in the Championship. This season we have seen more of his mark on the team in the way we have played. The Blackpool game aside his substitutions have been great and won us several points already but he keeps it simple invariably going like for like. Importantly the players seen to like him and the way we scrapped yesterday after going down to ten was a real source of pride for us all.- 3118 replies

What does that mean? I've been involved in football for a long time and some of this terminology has me baffled. I had some trousers that were press resistant 😂

Love it. -
It will be hilarious if they are in the Championship when they move to their new ground next season.

I did. He was also 'blocking' some of the Dingle substitutes who were trying to warm up at the same time as him. -

I asked Harry Pickering before the game if the players know what it means to us. Yes he answered. It was evident in the performance of every one of them that they did.
