  1. They were exactly my thoughts too. Ohashi and Dolan would execute a great press with Gueye a good option off the bench. Tuesday's line up will be interesting with several players who would be considered starters a little behind on fitness. Does Eustace risk them?
  2. Norwich are, to a large degree masters of their own downfall so far. Expecting lumps like Hanley and Duffy to play out from the back is far too much and the Oxford press is excellent. It will be interesting to see if they change in the second half. I don't think this will have gone unnoticed by Eustace.
  3. Two of the promoted teams are winning which adds more credence to our win last night.
  4. Grant Hanley drops a bollock. That is a phrase that has been said many times.
  5. If you read the article it tells you that you have to buy them direct from Stockport for which a link is provided.
  6. Which Christmas? 😂 He has a three year deal.
  7. The goal should have been stopped at source as we got done in a 2 v 1 from their corner. I was shouting that we needed an extra player to match them up but only one player came out. It was too easy for the two Derby players to work a better angle to put the ball in from their short corner.
  8. It reads like Pears played in goal for both teams 😂.
  9. I predicted yesterday before they played that Lowe will be the first Championship manager to be sacked.
  10. I think for many (me included) the jury was still out on Eustace - an impression formed based on some of the dour performances last season. At times last night, particularly in the first half the football wasn't dissimilar to some of the stuff we played under Tomasson. Quick, accurate passing, lots of movement and playing around opponents. There were some really good switches of play too, something we saw very little of last season under Eustace. Also most of the changes he made in games last season were on the negative side, understandably to try and eke out results but last night his triple change won us the game and for that soon the gets great praise from me. All that said I still think it's going to be a season of ups and downs but after last night I am more relaxed. Keeping key players fit is going to be crucial.
  11. So many positives for us to enjoy tonight with some good play, pace and intensity being at the forefront for the majority of the game. Four goals, three goals from substitutes, two debutant goals and one from Szmodics who I would have bet my house on us not seeing him play for us again. Credit to Eustace too for his use of substitutes. Aside from a 15-20 minute spell early in the second half we were pretty dominant with Travis showing up well on his comeback. I thought he was the MOM although several ran him close. Carter showed what a good player he is defensively but his great work for the second proved he can play when the opportunity arises. Gueye showed up well and it would have been great to see him score and perhaps he should have done but I think the goals will come when he finds his feet. I really think we are in for an exciting time with Ohashi who was really good when he came on. His pile driver just over the bar was good enough but the little dink for his goal had class written all over it. There is some work to do on defensive set plays but how can any Rovers fan not be delighted tonight. Top of the league and above that lot 😂😂. Long may it last. And for the duration of the game tonight I had some respite from not thinking about the Punekars or Waggott which is always a bonus. 😉
  12. It's amazing what fans of other clubs can see yet some of our own can't.
  13. If nothing has changed (location, age group etc) then you should use your existing one.
  14. I reckon Georgie Gent will have brought in around £200k which makes it a negligible nett spend.
  15. He is there to protect the Punekarsand the gullible ones will fall for it. If Sheikh (or whatever he is called) is the COO why was he not doing the interview. I find it interesting that there have been many, many changes behind the scenes but Waggott remains. Coincidence? In my view that tells you everything you need to know about him. Waggott the slippery snake.
  16. 250 extra tickets for anyone interested.
  17. No mine has a connotation that would appeal to the young 'uns. Can you imagine tomorrow night when the PA says 'The Totally Wicked man of the match is......' 😂😂😂😂
  18. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was Totally Wicked.
  19. I have written to Waggott about this shameful, shoddy way they have treated Peter Jackson, a name that has been synonymous with Rovers for decades. I don't expect a reply. It is with real despondency that I write this as I have read the article from Peter Jackson about how, four days before the season starts his company have been dropped as Man of the Match sponsor after 35 years excellent service to a so far unnamed company who are paying a 'significant sum more' than they are. I sincerely hope the local media pick up on this and call you out. It really is a shameful way to treat a long standing sponsor but I shouldn't be surprised. The way supporters have been treated since the errant owners bought my club is also shameful and you are part of this. I look forward to the day when they and the likes of you and your cohorts are no longer involved in my club and our good name can be restored. You and the others involved should hang your heads in shame.
  20. Another Head of xxxxx appointed. We have more heads now than the mythical Hydra.
  21. Shameful once again by the club. A local company who have supported the club through good and bad have been dropped four days before the season starts. I would love Peter Jackson to publish the written confirmation they got from Rovers.
  22. Perhaps clubs are aware of the impending court case after which we could well be desperate for money. And then it will be a buyers market and he will more than likely go for less. And if that happens it will be on the Punekars once again.
  23. I might be wrong in saying it was Nixon but didn't somebody post a tweet from one of the ITK's telling us that if Szmodics hadn't left by August 31st he wouldn't be doing so. D'oh! Sorry it should have been July 31st.
