  1. The Linford documentary was really good but I thought the Daley Thompson one was better. It's a BBC production so should be available on iPlayer.
  2. For anybody who wants to go to a long distance away game by train a 12.30 kick off just isn't convenient and sometimes impossible. If I am having to drive to those two it's going to be a 6-6.30 am start which I consider wholly inconvenient. Last season we played Norwich at Carrow Road in a moon kick off. The coaches left Ewood at 5 am. When was the last time you did a 200 plus mile trip to an away game for an early kick off? It's fine just going to home games where early kick offs aren't too much hassle for many but what about the away fans like QPR who we play in September in an early kick off. We all know why the clubs and Sky have done it but that doesn't make it any easier for fans who actually travel to away games.
  3. Really good work @upsidedown. Some of your work was used in the recent Fans Forum so we should all be appreciative.
  4. His development here would have been enhanced as he would be training with the seniors. I'd hazard a guess that at Newcastle he will be training with the under 21's. It's not dissimilar to the situation with Igor Tyjon who along with his advisers thought it would be better for his career to stay here. If he develops and gets the right exposure a big move would inevitably come.
  5. He is quoted as saying he is leaving because he wants a new challenge. He is 16 and could have been a regular squad player for a Championship club. Instead he will be in Newcastle's under 18's and 21's. Poor choice in my opinion and I can see him regretting it from a career point of view (which at his age should be the most important thing).
  6. That is probably the most damning statistic of the Punekars reign of terror (and there is plenty to go at). Waggott won't be able to boast about a record income for season tickets now.
  7. I think some were making assumptions and as most people know assumptions are the mother of all f** ups 😆😆
  8. His English is decent despite one of two suggesting he couldn't speak it. I like the respect he shows in saying Mr Shearer and Mr Suarez. Hopefully he gets some game time on Friday at Stockport so we can get a proper look at him.
  9. Waggott has done exactly what he is paid to do in protecting the owners. His answers are typical Waggott. He appears to have answered the questions without answering them. I just want honesty but there has been very little of that for a long time.
  10. If you haven't moved seats, new or moved into another age category you will still use your existing one. My granddaughter has moved to 12-18 and her new card has been delivered today.
  11. I don't know for certain but rumours abound that they have rebuffed any interest to buy the club from them. There isn't and rational explanation for them still being here.
  12. Gilsenan damaged a thigh muscle in his first week back training. It's quite a serious one is what I was told.
  13. For somebody to buy the club it has to be put on sale. The Punekars won't even entertain any offers which leaves many of us to think there are illegalities they don't want getting out. I can't speak for everyone but their refusal to sell is probably my biggest frustration (although it's a pretty extensive list).
  14. These might be useful too. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68194968 https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/update-emerges-on-jon-dahl-tomassons-situation-at-blackburn-rovers-after-press-conference-absence/
  15. I wrote what was said at the time when the deal didn't go through.
  16. Rovers did but the clear omission of Finneran stood out by a mile. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/july/02/tyjon-signs-as-a-scholar/
  17. It was reported that a delegation would be going to America to do the deal. I took that as something had been agreed between the clubs.
  18. I really don't know. If Kean won a case for constructive dismissal then perhaps but I'll be amazed if the NDA or equivalent will have been more than a tribunal would have awarded them. As an aside I'd love to know how much NDA's have cost the Punekars in the last decade and a half.
  19. He has gone to Newcastle I'm told but for some reason (embarrassment?) Rovers haven't made it public. They quite rightly made a big thing about Tyjon signing but insult us with the radio silence about Finneran.
  20. The point for me is that the money won't be sent from India.
  21. The Raya money and instalments from Phillips and Kaminski.
  22. Of course it does, well to anybody with a few brain cells. If it was a genuine error why haven't we gone back in for McGuire as it was reported we would do. For me it has been pretty much confirmed by the subsequent information garnered by some great investigative work by some posters proving that the Punekars are in trouble. I genuinely think Ian Silvester was the patsy here and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if his silence has been bought.
  23. Who knows. Logic dictates to me that both teams would be a mix but in the games against Accrington, Tranmere and Nuremburg he played his strongest team in the first half/game and then changed to essentially the under 21's. Eustace has said it's about fitness and right now I don't think and of the players have played a full 90 minutes.
  24. For clarity I should have posted this link. https://uk.linkedin.com/in/ian-silvester-1016543a
  25. And the new Solihull secretary, Ian Silvester would probably have a wry smile on his face as he pressed send.
