  1. Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub are useful though. One for the youngsters there.
  2. I think in our current situation we have to pour as much as we can into the starting X1 and the Academy lads such as Cirino HAVE to be the back up. This is partly how we got into such a mess having a ridiculously bloated squad. We've had about fifteen midfielders for years until this summer.
  3. Devil's advocate mode on: Cairney was pretty inconsistent when he was here due to Bowyer not having enough faith in him. I wouldn't have sold him personally but he only really showed his true ability after leaving here. Without a crystal ball at the time think Raya was the bigger error. King I'm not having at all. He was bloody useless when he was here and stunk the place out with his attitude. He's one player I don't think you can blame the Club for with benefit of hindsight type arguments.
  4. Can we realistically afford two first team quality players in every position at the moment? I'm rather more worried we haven't got a first team quality starting X1! I take on board the comments of the likes of Parson Blue about being unconvinced by Pickering. I wasn't overly convinced by his early run outs either but thought he stuck to his task quite well on Saturday considering the midfield was being over-run. I think we have far more pressing priorities than a back up LB.
  5. Not at less than £1m , be better off keeping him for the season. We'd also be better off getting rid of Mowbray and bringing in a manager that rates him rather than losing the player for peanuts.
  6. Yes, sorry just seen that on the LT website. The player has never played for his parent club Brighton.
  7. That would be almost season ticket being handed back time.
  8. The removal of the tickets happened a while back. Quite unbelievable as it isn't a move that saves the Club a penny in a stadium that is less than one third full.
  9. God help them. As for us , we're going to have to hope that something fairly dramatic happens over the next 27 and a bit hours, 12 out, no Armstrong replacement and only 2 young loanees with barely any senior experience in, plus Pickering who was signed in January. Oops..... edit thirty nine hours.
  10. The commentators were insinuating on Sky last night that towels were allowed if both sides were allowed to use them but this posed questions regarding Covid so WBA had offered to provide two sets, one for each side. Personally I think the EFL has to provide clear guidance on this and that the use of towels if it is to be allowed at all should only be entirely at the discretion of and with the agreement of the home side. If they say no, then no towels and use thereof or using an item of supporters clothing as happened last night should result in a yellow card each time.
  11. For me we need a guaranteed starter, a striker that can chip in with an absolute minimum of half Armstrong's goals. A "Rhodes type" would be ideal if he can do that. We absolutely do not need either "a big lump" or a speedboat that can't find the back of the net. Goalscorers are in short demand but that's why Mowbray and his team are paid the big bucks, to unearth the players we need. They're not paid to say "we tried our best but couldn't get anyone in". Armstrong shouldn't have been sold without a ready made replacement lined up and ready to come in. In much the same way as Raya shouldn't have been sold without a decent replacement being sourced first either.
  12. Nor can we ignore the fact that Mowbray spent£12m on them and they've yet to really deliver.
  13. ??? You're reinforcing his point.
  14. Don't fall for Mowbray's clap trap chaddy. Other Clubs don't seem to find the process virtually impossible like we claim to.
  15. He admitted he'd sell some of our players for half what he values them at!!!! Tantamount to saying "Everything must go, come and grab yourself a bargain." Thankfully he's left it a bit late in the window and hopefully he won't be around to do any more damage beyond the end of the season at worst.
  16. Have to hope the "one other" is pretty sensational.
  17. It's never we "will" do X Y or Z with Mowbray. Always "hoping to" etc etc. And why on earth would he publicly admit he 'd sell some of our players for half of what he thinks they're worth? Out of all the ludicrous comments he's made in recent. months that particular one has to be the worst and most damaging.
  18. Everyone's taking the term "clown" a bit too literally, it's a throwaway comment intended to describe two players completely out of their depth rather than being an accurate description of their personal characteristics.
  19. Shouldn't we give priority to our OWN young men trying to make their way in the game?
  20. Still waiting for you to clarify what you're talking about.
  21. Bloody hell. Edit: Not fit to lace Nyambe's boots and even worse at LB. Might be a bit better further forward but we haven't seen much of him there at senior level yet.
  22. Saw in today's game everything that is wrong with the policy of bringing in youngsters from Prem League Clubs. Our own playersike Buckley and Dolan will miss out on vital experience and game time at the expense of those two clowns we've paid money to bring in from Liverpool and Leeds. Meanwhile you also have to ask what Park's role at the Club is, does he not have any contacts of his own, or hidden gems bookmarked after a lifetime in the game which would prevent us from having to go down our normal route of simply picking whatever crumbs are left off the Premier League loan table at the end of the window?
  23. Hasn't started yet, but you do wonder how we'd react to a couple of adverse results.
