  1. Got in from Peterborough about 10p.m. last night and was too annoyed to post in full. Had a great day out in good company on a coach with darrenrover and Darwen Blues although unfortunately I joked with him before the day, "Should be a good day apart from the football" and predictably that's how it panned out although they seem to have come up with even more new ways to let us down - no-one could have predicted that precise sequence of events and even I thought we'd got out of jail and would live to fight another day when we went one up with 12 minutes to go. The result aside, a couple of things struck me about yesterday before the goals. Edun was given yellow cards for two relatively innocuous incidents then in the second half a Peterborough player cleaned out Dack from behind but didn't even get a yellow. Any normal engaged manager would have gone absolutely ballistic and been in the ear of the 4th official but Mowbray just continued mooching around his technical area without a flicker of emotion and the disinterested air of a man who'd have rather been anywhere else in the world on that sunny Easter Friday afternoon. Then, with the scores still at 0-0, Buckley was substituted and did the Tugay walk off at the pace of an arthritic snail. Now that would be fine if you're three up but surely if you're drawing and desperately need the three points or losing, any self respecting professional would sprint off the field. I think there's something badly wrong behind the scenes and the culture of doing the bare minimum absolutely stinks. To be fair, Dack looked absolutely devastated at the end, he was so distraught he had to be helped off the pitch. Van Hecke also looked very upset, the rest of them came sheepishly over to applaud the travelling fans, some of whom were booing but most of whom I think showed considerable restraint in all the circumstances of eleven points from fourteen games from second position and a second last gasp capitulation in three games. Three hundred and sixty minutes. Counting down the seconds to the departure of Mowbray and his backroom staff who have been stinking the place out in the second half of the season. Permanent recruitment is also dire, they all need to go and we need a completely fresh start and a sense of optimism. In the extremely unlikely event Mowbray is handed any sort of new deal I don't think I'll be back again until he is gone, I simply couldn't justify the purchase of another season ticket and wasting yet more hours of my time under those circumstances.
  2. Don't understand the above post. Half of the debt has accrued under Mowbray's insipid five and a bit years in charge. Why is that Kean's or anyone else's fault?
  3. He's mugging the Club, the fans and those who pay his wages off with comments like this which conclusively prove he doesn't give a shiny shite. He SHOULD be absolutely devastated by the failure to capture 3 points today in what was efeectively a last chance saloon. He SHOULD be absolutely devastated by the fact that with 18 games to go we only needed 23 points to get to 75 points. Now we need 12 from the last five games and we've only managed 11 from the last thirteen!
  4. How have things changed for the better though? The owners have probably put another £90-£100m into the Club during Mowbray's time in charge, yet the squad is threadbare and that's without the prospect of five of the current first team leaving for nothing in the summer. From rumblings going on in the background it sounds like Brockhall is still under threat as well
  5. Not quite right. The League 1 promotion campaign was a reasonable effort although given the fact it was so heavily bankrolled by the owners it would have been an absolute disaster had we not gone up. At Championship level however, completely agree. His record for us in this division is absolute shite. I keep saying it but given the backing he's had, pound for pound he's our worst ever manager for me.
  6. If the owners actually care then this aspect needs going through with a fine tooth comb. I was told that they'd made a VERY substantial budget available to Mowbray and Waggott in January in addition to the potential bonuses which were publicised. If this is true, why wasn't it utilised when we'll NEVER get a chance as good again? Don't understand what's happening with Dack either. What's the point in keeping him off the front line until any chance of going up is mathematically gone?
  7. Only on board now? Holy crap. His time was up more than three years ago.
  8. If Mowbray is leaving in summer (please god) why on earth should he have any say whatsoever in recruitment for next season? The new guy might not fancy his targets and if past form is anything to go by he'd just end up signing more garbage like Hedges anyway.
  9. Not surprised to see you post the above as you do your best to defend Mowbray at every turn. The other poor managers we've had in the past have had to by and large scrape by on buttons. Mowbray has wasted tens of millions of pounds. Seemingly to no avail.
  10. It is Bryan it's absolutely heartbreaking. I think I'd rather we did our usual being crap all season and finish 15th than do what we've done and end up 11th.
  11. I looked at the scores after 93 mins and assumed we'd won. It doesn't matter if there were eleven or twenty minutes of injury time - you play to the final whistle. At least this probably removes any delusion we can make the play offs. Ten points from twelve games...........after being second. Pound for pound Mowbray is the worst manager we've ever had in my 50 and a bit years of watching the Club for me.
  12. I like the way we're utilising Dack. "Let's make sure the play offs are mathematically out of reach before we hand him a start".
  13. I'll bet he wasn't complaining about the prospect of working a couple of hours away from home when he was out of work on the managerial scrap heap and was offered the job. I mean honestly, he makes it sound like he is doing everyone a massive favour by being here when in reality instead of complaining he should be treating being the manager of Blackburn Rovers as a privilege. Fuck off.
  14. Do you think the squad has been playing for nothing for the last 4 seasons?
  15. Not a single mention of trying to retrieve the season and secure a play off place. Still, as long as he's looking forward to his hols with his family............. What an absolute joke, 4 seasons in the Championship, £80 -£90m of the owners money down the pan and half of the first eleven departing for nothing in the summer. Fuck off Mowbray. When you depart we might finally have a chance to move forward forward for the first time in years. Only 7 games to go. Hopefully.
  16. Not sure I've said that anywhere, and I can only assume from the incendiary post above that you would have been happier if we had ended up with a non Cat 1 facility half the size of the one we currently have but carry on.......................
  17. Yes, we'd have been so much better off without Rothwell and if Mowbray and Park had been able to grease even more palms by bringing in another completely out of their depth journeyman like Hedges.
  18. You'd take Robins all day long over Mowbray surely.
  19. I get that no-one should WANT us to lose the next seven games. However the point is that it's highly likely we won't win another game this season under Mowbray if he stays anyway and that our play off hopes already appear excedingly thin. Therefore if you accept that in reality our play off chances have gone, it's only natural that thoughts should turn to next season and beyond and for the long term health of the Club that involves Waggott, Mowbray and Venus being nowhere near it imo. Mowbray should have gone after the Notts Forest home game imo to give us a chance of maintaining a play off push. Then again he should have gone at various points during each of the last three seasons when it was obvious he wasn't up to it. Instead here we are three years on, another seventy million of the owners money down the pan with nothing to show for it and facing going into next season with half the team leaving for nothing in summer.
  20. I find it slightly bizarre that anyone thinks we can still make the play offs and/or is discussing how many points it would theoretically take when we haven't even scored a goal in the last seven away games!
  21. End of any play off hopes if we don't win today I'd have thought.
  22. Yep, Mowbray against IInce, that's a managerial masterclass for the ages. It's like Klopp v Guardiola. In reverse.
  23. Bournemouth winning, Millwall losing.
