  1. The problem the Trust or WATR have is that they have to try and keep a foot in the door with the Club because I imagine their ultimate aim is a seat or two on the Board regardless of who the owners are. Much harder to ever achieve that if you're shoved out of the picture altogether. For that reason I dont feel they haven't represented my views for quite some time now. in my view these are fairly unprecedented times requiring out of the ordinary responses. I'm reminded of the time Waggott tried to sneak through the sale of the training ground on the sly. The silence from the Trust was deafening.
  2. I disagree slightly, over here the focus needs to be on making life for Waggott and Pasha as unpleasant as possible but there must be ways of causing them constant embarrassment back in India through the written, verbal and social media mustn't there?
  3. Roughly translates as: "We're aware of the fan unrest and we couldn't give a shit".
  4. They've said they'll be there, and you wouldn't expect anything different really. But that doesn't matter really, you've done a brilliant job of putting the state of the Club firmly back in the public spotlight. The owners usefulness expired when they stopped putting money in around the same time as the Court proceedings and unless they're prepared to change their mind, they need to be gone ASAP. In the very short term though the vitriol needs to be directed towards Waggott and Pasha, they've got away with murder for far too long whilst they run the Club into the ground and attending the remaining games needs to be made a pretty unpleasant experience for them. I liked the softly softly approach of the guy who was on Talksport this morning. Ruled out action to directly disrupt matches as he acknowledged a lot of supporters still liked going to games and supporting the team. Makes you look reasonable and allows you to keep the moral high ground. Well done to all concerned.
  5. Just randomly heard someone from BRFC Actuon Group (whoever they are) on the radio on Talksport as I was driving along. The Radio Station were making quite a big thing of the fact that they were asking Waggott, Pasha and Gestede to stay away from the last 8 games. They gave the lad that was on from the group a very sympathetic airing. Well done to those involved for getting this into the public consciousness, and as others have said, if the owners become aware the spotlight of unwelcome publicity I'd finally turning on them it may start to have a snowball effect.
  6. Might be getting to the nub of it there Ian, although I doubt similar considerations would apply to someone who "only" has a credit line of c £10m and Venky's who are "allegedly" worth several billion. Unless of course they know there's a lot more trouble to come further down the line that hasn't been discovered yet.
  7. Yeah the Court judgement reproduced on here a while ago referred to a guarantee and if a "guarantee" has the same meaning as it does over here it merely means that you only become liable if something goes wrong. You don't have to start lodging equivalent financial bonds by way of security etc. I suspect Jackson hasn't got a clue what the situation is but keeps repeating this "double bubble" line which probably isn't correct and really isn't helpful. To be fair Waggott himself has said there is no impediment to the owners funding the Club on numerous occasions. If there was I'd have thought he wouldn't be able to wait to tell us about it and try and frame it as no
  8. Come on everyone, that's not the spirit. Get your hands in your pockets! Emmanuel Dennis doesn't sit on the bench or in the treatment room for free you know!
  9. Yeah, I was thinking that if sales tank (which is likely) they can just announce "early bird offer extended" and try and dress it up as some sort of huge concession on their part.
  10. I agree. In my opinion these Court proceedings are now a complete red herring and have been for some time. There's nothing really stopping them from transferring money to the Club, they merely have to provide a guarantee covered by their personal assets if they do so. They seemingly aren't prepared to do this and just don't seem to want to fund the Club anymore full stop. Helps when the local media and large sections of the fan base still perpetuate this myth about the poor unfortunate things having to deposit double to match any money sent over though.
  11. Do we think there's any other Club in the Fotball League that would only be aiming to fill around 15% of its Stadium with ST Holders, and who would put tickets on initial sale without divulging the price in subsequent phases?
  12. Agree entirely. This seems like a desperate early cash grab to me - and they can't even get that right! If I was renewing my lapsed ticket (which I'm not) I think I'd be purchasing using a credit card in case things go bump mid season.
  13. No doubt you'll be telling them that at the next FF then. You've plenty to go at with the Eustace debacle, the appointment of Ismael, and now this. Have they announced the reconvened date for the next meeting yet?
  14. Looking at it overall, it seems a lot too expensive for seniors, JW upper, and for the Blackburn End. No complaints on price I don't suppose if you're in the Riverside or in one of the categories for younger fans. Won't affect me either way, I won't be attending irrespective of price until they give me a reason to do it either in terms of genuine investment on the team or signs of real progress on the pitch. That isn't covered by chasing away a decent head coach on the occasions we're lucky enough to stumble across one. It's also heartbreaking seeing Waggott screw every last penny out of the Club for his own personal gain before the gravy train shudders to a halt for the final time and he departs leaving behind a lifeless husk instead of our once great Club.
  15. Eustace had an extremely positive recent record when he joined us. He looked to be a young manager on the up. And eventually carried that on with us. Ismael is exactly the opposite. He looks to be a manager very much on the downgrade. And unlike Eustace he inherited a team in decent shape but has still managed to start in similar fashion Nothing to do with the degree of comfort in front of the cameras.
  16. Cant believe the number of people lining up to defend Ismael. Yes we know about the owners and the deeper issues affecting the Club. Yes we know the January window was a disaster as always. However, Eustace had this squad in and around the play offs all season and even Lowe managed 2 wins out of 3 in very trying circumstances. A new permanent manager should have had the team ready to run through a brick wall given the promising position we were in. Instead we've conceded goals inside the first 20 minutes in the last three games and in 360 minutes of football we've not been ahead once! It's just not good enough and needs to change pronto. Frankly if Ismael couldnt motivate them when we were in the play off mix with 12 games to go I dread to think how he'll do it at the start of a new season but we'll have to live in hope I suppose.
  17. I think it's fair to say in general our form had been dropping off since Luton at home in mid December. It hadnt been dropping off to the extent it has under Ismael though and we werent conceding goals after 3 or 4 minutes of games. Needs stressing again I think, the opening gal conceded inside the opening 20 mins of the last 3 games. That has to stop or his tenure will be a particularly unhappy one.
  18. This argument has been done many times before. We paid very good money for Hyam and Brittain. For me Hyam has been generally really poor and has a poor character. Brittain was generally awful until this season when he's finally started showing us the player we thought we were signing. I dont think either have been particular successes for the money paid. Tronstad fair enough, I dont particularly rate him but I know most do. I also forgot Cantwell from last summer who's been really poor imo. I really dont know what more you expect from Ohashi and Gueye for £250k and £1m though. Both turned out decent value imo.
  19. When the players probably knew Ismael waa coming in. In the time honoured tradition on here of unfairly claiming or denying victories or attributing or not attributing defeats to managers Im tempted to mark that one down to VI as well.
  20. Good luck to him. Not helpful to be spreading false rumours about players not being paid though.
  21. Batth excellent, Beck even better, Ohashi great value for £250 k , Gueye turned out good value for £1m, Baker excellent squad cover. ACD looked a good signing in theory but hasnt come off. One real dud in Toth. Much better than Broughton who only managed one excellent signing in Szmodics who was allegedly on our radar previously anyway. String of duds including Wahlsted, 3 strikers who didnt score a single goal for the Club (Hirst, Ennis, Telalovic) Sigurdsson paid off and O Riordan. This January the recruitment has gone back to being dire again. You have to assume the guy who made the difference waa Park.
  22. Was assuming it'd be a different demographic. Does he have a general entertainment site of some other sort which is popular?
  23. Tbf the recruitment in summer was a lot better than under Broughton. Since then it seems to have gone rapidly downhill and reverted to type though.
