  1. As a theoretical exercise thought I'd run through the list of Championship managers and see if there are any I would NOT take over Mowbray. Norwich - Farke - no Watford - Munoz - know nothing about him but based on results - no Swansea - Cooper - no Brentford - Frank - no Bournemouth - Woodgate - wouldn't want either Barnsley - Ismael - no Reading - Paunovic- no - see Watford QPR - Warburton - no Cardiff - Mccarthy - no Millwall - Rowett - no Boro - Colin - no Stoke - O Neill - no Luton - Nathan Jones -no Preston - (Neil) - no Bristol City - Pearson - no Forest - Hughton - no Coventry - Robins - no Birmingham - Bowyer - no Huddersfield - Corberan - know nothing about him. Derby - Rooney - wouldn't want either of them Rotherham - Warne - no Sheff Wed - Moore - no Wycombe - Ainsworth - no So there you have it. It looks so much more stark laid out in black and white. The owners are pumping in £20 m p.a. to try and make us competitive but it's going to complete waste because we're going into battle with a manager significantly worse than at least 20 of the other 23 teams. What chance have we got really?
  2. Ditto Waggott. Should have been landing in a heap outside the gates as soon as he got found out on the Brockhall scam and was forced into the embarrassing climb down.
  3. Never ceases to amaze me how anyone would have the remotest interest in anything he has to say. Has never performed since joining the Club about from a few decent games from central midfield in League 1. The only thing I want to read from him is that he has found another Club and he won't be sponging off us any longer.
  4. I know it's not the done thing to want us to lose but assuming we're enough points in the Bank to stay up already I was quite relieved when we got beaten by struggling Wednesday tonight. Such is the campaign of misinformation which has sprung up on social media and from his mates in the local press in support of Mowbray, I don't think we can afford anything at all which might give these people something to latch on to and claim a corner has been turned before the season finishes. As it was he's been here four full seasons and we started tonight's dead rubber with arguably TWO players who will be here next season. Two. A proper local journalist would be taking Mowbray to task on these farcial goings on.
  5. Bennett and Evans in. Yet another massive two fingers salute to the fans.
  6. We'd better hope to god he isn't here next season as he appears to have written it off already looking at that.
  7. I'm sure Sharpe and Mowbray are now delighting in seeing how many different ways they can come up with to take the piss out of the fans. Mowbray: I've come up with a a unique new way of bridging the gap between us and the Club's with parachute money! Sharpe: What is it Tone? Mowbray: You have to have "an identity!" Everything else just falls into place like magic! Sharpe: Brilliant Tone! You're too good for me mate! It's absolutely meaningless, the two things are completely unrelated., talk about a non sequitur. The only mystery is how the LT let him get away with it time after time. You honestly couldn't make this load of old cobblers up and you haven't been able to for quite some time. The only straw I'm grasping onto is that maybe he knows he's gone already and simply doesn't care what he says anymore. Even then he should be showing the Club a great deal more respect than he has been doing.
  8. Might enable England to do better, but an unequivocal "no" on that one thanks!
  9. Back on topic I guess you'd have to put the Barnsley manager on any shortlist as well
  10. Thanks John. I remember the idea of a rolling ST which fans had to take active steps to cancel being mooted years ago when I was on the Forum and John Williams was here. The view back then was that it was taking fans a little bit too much for granted so I hope it's not on the agenda now especially on the back of everything that's happened recently and last year's ridiculous price increases.
  11. Is it a promising sign that the meeting was hosted by the excellent Greg Coar and Lynsey Talbot and the other gentleman I haven't come across as opposed to Waggott and Cheston? If I were in charge of the Club I wouldn't leave Waggott in charge of the vending machine after the Brockhall debacle.
  12. Yes I forgot Wilder, he'd be on my list as well.
  13. If I were the owners I would always have had the view that the manager is the most important person at the Club and that money in that respect should be no object. My shortlist would read something like: Experienced names: Bilic Jokanovic Hughes Younger managers Cowley Ainsworth Neil Critchley
  14. Thank god for that. Cast iron penalty against Nyambe not awarded on the whistle as well. Let's put a line under this abortion of a season, get in the best manager and coaching staff we can, hire a decent CEO and look forward to next season with a clean slate and sense of optimism.
  15. Armstrong just turned into him looking for the foul.
  16. He knows the rules and he isn't even playing for Liverpool tonight. What if he now mistimes a tackle? Completely unprofessional but symptomatic of the holiday camp mentality prevalent at Ewood.
  17. Wow. What a gift. First the defender slipping then the keeper throwing it in. Mowbray must have swallowed a horseshoe today. Can we hold on?
  18. Yes. The commentators would probably be making more of it had all the chances not been on top of one another.
  19. Good touch from Holtby through to Armstrong. He has to score there.
  20. As in not quite as bad as Brown. There isn't much in it though.
  21. EIT seems to have it in for Nyambe for some reason.
  22. As Jim said, dreadful half, how Derby aren't at least two in front is anyone's guess. As for Gallagher, decent goal but Christ, I think he edges Douglas in the worst player ever to wear a Rovers shirt stakes. Maybe just behind Chris Brown and Paul Mckinnon. I'd chop someone's hand off at the elbow to take the point now.
  23. Probably suffering from hurt feelings knowing he's not our main centre half.
