  1. Busy morning on the transfer front then? Damn these "strange" and "difficult" markets!
  2. Yes and since then of course Suhail let his views slip in the FF by saying spending doesn't necessarily guarantee success. ** So what Gestede said is probably basically correct. **Maybe it doesn't but not spending over an extended period of time is an absolutely 100% guaranteed way to fail.
  3. Beaten by Cheadle Town Stingers. Wonder how long it'll be before similar ignominy is being heaped on the mens' side?
  4. Maybe not......although I wonder if anyone has told them how much income we'd lose if we went down yet.
  5. We'll have to agree to disagree on whether VI is fully "in on it" or happy or unhappy. Just as a point of order though that bit is definitely incorrect if RG is to be believed, he's clearly said any sales do not affect the transfer budget. At the time I think he was put on the spot by Eddie asking a very tricky and pertinent question about why we didn't capitalise on a temporary improvement in our FFP position due to all the sales. So with English not being his first language and being under pressure to produce an answer he might have blurted out something that wasn't 100% accurate. In the absence of any clarification to the contrary though that would seem to be the position.
  6. It's a mixture of both. We don't create anywhere near enough chances, nor do we have anywhere near enough decent attacking options to either make the most of the few chances we do create, or, create something themselves.
  7. So despite Suhail claiming otherwise at the FF - there's no sign of Lowe anywhere? Im assuming this is Glen's "Court Case" he keeps alluding to. If it's not him no doubt he can correct me.
  8. Who by about December didn't want to be here either.
  9. Not that I am endorsing backing against the team but if you were a neutral gambler looking for value it's been a licence to print money backing us to lose recently. West Brom weren't far shy of evens, God knows what price Bradford were, Birmingham 13/10, Hull 11/10.
  10. Id say so. No-one who wasn't "in on it" could surely be remotely happy with only adding a RW and (if he leaves) a Travis replacement to this squad.
  11. On a similar note I was struck by the comments underneath Jackson's latest match report in the LT. I'd say the Club plants who post non stop on there all day out themselves in fairly obvious fashion as the ones arguing vehemently that no-one could possibly ever be interested in buying us. At worst - you dont know until you try. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25395788.blackburn-rovers-self-sabotage-typical-difficult-week/
  12. Even they will know though that that was primarily because they retained all the big wage earners, and invested further in the squad, Dack/Armstrong etc. The exact opposite of what's happening now.
  13. No point us going back and forwards going "Yes it was, no it wasn't" all afternoon. Maybe not at a normal Club but we have previous form for rarely if ever strengthening in the forward positions because those are the ones which cost the most money. With c 2 weeks to go until the end of the window do you now finally acknowledge the state of the squad is a matter for serious concern, or do you still think it's no reason to worry because there are another 2 weeks left and the Club will sort something.
  14. The **** might hit the fan if/when we lose this one surely even the owners and management might sit up and take notice that we're rooted pointless to the bottom of the table after 3 games and just been beaten by a team under embargo.
  15. Also we've bought in zero attacking players since you had a good at me for complaining about the lack of numbers and quality in that area. Just saying.
  16. No. All he needs to say is "Vi gives an update on Rovers progress in the transfer market" And then let other people make their own mind up as to whether Vi is talking absolute tosh or not. Not "Vi gives his thoughts of Rovers progress in what has been a difficult and challenging market" implying that he agrees with him and everyone should feel sympathy.. Why do you keep defending him? Is he a mate of yours?
  17. 100% I do wish Jackson would stop writing spoon fed nonsense offered up to him by the Club. As I said last week - it really isn't helpful. "Strange" market indeed. Hmmmphh.
  18. Am I imagining things but up to and including JDT, wasn't unleaded very supportive of the Head Coach and extremely anti the regime and very critical of the way the recruitment department operated ? (Which I agreed with) But ever since Eustace came in it seems that in unleaded's eyes, everything Eustace wanted to do was wrong and everything Gestede and Owen etc do or want to do is right? Very odd. I actually thought someone had hacked his account at first but he has a pretty unique posting style so it does actually appear it is the same person.
  19. Exactly...and your point is? The difference between Brady and Wagner and us on the Mitrovic deal if it comes off is that they'll go and find extra investment or sponsorship to pay for or at least offset the cost of the deal. We just sit there going "What can we do?"
  20. Good to hear from you bob, stick around we could do with some more gallows humour.
  21. Yet in terms of actual wealth Venky's could probably put Brady and Wagner in their back pocket.
  22. Thank God we've escaped signing all these duds thanks to our unwillingness to spend any money. In contrast to us just to show what an ambitious Club look like Birmingham are apparently hoping to add more firepower by bringing Mitrovic in. Stansfield/Mitrovic/Kyogo v Ohashi/Gueye/Hedges Hmmm...................
  23. Im not a fan at all but I think it's 5 wins 2 draws and 7 losses.
  24. Scratch that, seems as though it was a "pre match kit" or something. What a joke. How many more ways will they think of to fleece the fans.
