Generally on a Monday, the official site does a brief round-up of how our loanees-out have got on that weekend.

Warning, pedant alert. The one against City wasn't really a wonder goal, apart from it was a wonder the Axe scored (FA Cup match I think). The cracker - 25 yarder, into the top corner, goal of the season I think - was against Sunderland in the League Cup.

Saw it a few months ago, yep. Decent film, but a pretty tough watch! Didn't think the foreign language and subtitles took anything away from the film at all, and I'll bet the Hollywood remake isn't a patch on this. Haven't seen the second one and don't plan to - I've heard it's dreadful. Apparently it was made as a TV drama and looks like that rather than a film. Don't think the third one has been made yet has it?

Maybe a bit of a diversion from the food topic, but what's the Lower Buck like these days CLB? I used to frequent it back in the day - when it had several proper ales (before real ale pubs were the in thing) including the legendary Moonraker, basic food, and a pretty 'unusual' bar. Bizarrely, I think it was owned by the church! Had a few evenings go missing in there!

That Swansea v Barnsley game featured one of the all time great misses from Shefki - about 20 secs into the highlights here . Puts Jason in perspective. -
Marvellous Whittle. From my view in the Enclosure always thought that third goal was never offside!

Aye, and he was playing on Saturday - popped up with an equaliser in injury time, much to my wallet's chagrin as I had Norwich down for a win. -
Just about to be released - but it's the 'original', a Swedish film with subtitles. Still, it'll be twice the film as the inevitable Hollywood remake that'll appear in a year or two.

Indeed Bryan. They don't make em like they used to. I'd forgotten the bit at the end too where the real Charles Calthrop comes back to his flat! Must be a couple of years since I last watched it.

Spot on Scotty. In the same way, Emerton had become a world beater that could play in just about any position by the start of this season. Another few weeks and reality will kick in. Hell, if Andrews gets injured for a few weeks, he'll become a £5 million internation midfielder. As is often remarked about other things, absence makes the heart grow fonder. -
Whilst going to see some latest European scores on the BBC site, noticed there was a blog by Michael Gray. Well written, and during a mention of some of the clubs he's played for.....

If you're after a cheapish family-friendly pub, could try the Hare and Hounds (about a mile down the road from Guiseley). It's a Wacky Warehouse type place. Mile or two the other side of Guiseley is China Red, a modern and big Chinese (seats 100+ I'd guess). Good food and child friendly I would think. There's quite a few places in Guiseley itself - Indians, Italians etc.

Anyone of a s**t-stirring nature might be inclined to ask where Ciaran Donnelly is, Mr 6. Not that I'd do anything like that you understand........

Yep, that interview happened Paul. Think John Helm (? Yorkshire TV's Sports presenter) presided. There was a documentary on ITV earlier this week - you might find it kicking around on one of the 'watch again' facilities, I think ITV have one these days - where part of the interview was shown. Incidentally, Michael Sheen also portrayed Kenneth Williams excellently in a 'documentary' before he did the Tony Blair thing.

The bare statistics - soccerbase. Seem to remember Pedersen's 'screamer' being a free kick, might be wrong. The goals are probably on Youtube - afraid I haven't got time to search.

Without wanting to approach Drog's levels of cynicism ........ those sort of things are easy to say with hindsight. If he'd have got 10 mill in Jan, who's to say we wouldn't be in the same position now (but 10 mill worse off) with Hughes saying he needed 20 mill to stop him buggering off. Or given him 20 mill etc. Make your own numbers up. Reality - with 16 other Prem teams, our players/manager/coaches can be bought. And maybe that's more than 16, see Ronaldo at the Scum. -

The Barkers are something of a cricketing dynasty at Enfield (in the Lancashire League) - think I played against his dad about 30 years ago! And there was at least one generation playing at Enfield before that. Don't know if any of em got as far as county, even 2nd XI though. -

Don't remember that Bob but remember hearing or reading an interview with em where they mentioned Rovers nutters and how they made gigs at KGH interesting. Think it was Barney who said they had no idea why they were popular with Rovers fans. -

Nah, you're just concerned about your bet modes -
Bloody hell Mr6 - Dickov?!?!?!? You're going back a few years! If you're comparing a similar timescale, then from the Rovers academy you'd have to include the likes of Burgess, Taylor, Walters, Douglas and many others that I can't think of but other folk more familiar with the Academy no doubt can. I understand your point but your evidence to justify it is flawed I'm afraid.
