  1. "You'll Never Walk Alone" was it? Ther was me thinking it was "You'll Never Bomb Cologne"
  2. Already confirmed on the official site as Sun Oct 1st. 3pm.
  3. I "half" heard on the radio on Friday, that although he is an Argentinian national, he was actually born in Portugal. Was I hearing things, did anyone else hear this?
  4. Spot on USA. What we have seen from the Portandcheese and quite a few other teams in this tournament regarding blatent simulation has re-ignited my growing dissilusionment with football. Here FIFA had a wonderful opportunity in front of the watching millions, to finally clamp down on this cheating, and instruct their referees to give a red card to anyone diving. The fact that we have seen so many refs waving away penalty claims for what have been obvious dives, only goes to re-inforce the fact that they have patently seen them for what they are, and yet have not given the red card that should always be the case. Ronaldo has quite rightly been villified by the press et all for his actions yesterday. I personally have always hated him because of his cheating scumbag ways. Most of the rest of the Portugal team are no better. It was interesting to note that one of the worst culprits diving for England yesterday was Joe Cole. Look where he has learned this trait from. If I were a full back in the Premiership playing against the likes of Ronaldo, I think that I would give the little cheat something to dive for, and clatter him good and hard. Alas I can see it all now. The press having a go at the likes of Lucas Neil for "Breaking the leg of one of the world's most talented players. Thugs like that have no place in the game" etc.etc. The press make me sick with their Running with the hare, riding with the hounds attitude. We have constantly been told by the press what a world class player such and such is. I hven't seen many Zinadine Zidane performances from England players. Frank Lampard has had a woefull tournament. Is that not because he shines in a Chelsea team full of world class players and shows himself for what he really is in an England shirt. A reasonable player in a team of other reasonable players? I am goin to stop now. Absolutely gutted. At least I can die having seen England win a World Cup. Sad for all the England fans in Germany. They have been magnificent.
  5. IÃO. Sounds like someone just stood on the cat.
  6. If that's the case, then I can only wonder what the prize was, given to the man who told Kuqi that he was a footballer.
  7. Don't you mean 3rd worst after Gorden Strachan! Even I cannot understand a word he says and my mother was a Glaswegian, so I can understand most folks from over the border. Leonardo speaks English far better than Strachan or Wright. I think Wright's problem stems from him trying to mix his native cockney with the smattering of Dinglespeak he picked up along the way.
  8. Here is the link so rover groo can print it off. http://www.lancashireeveningtelegraph.co.u...entor_eddie.php
  9. Too right Bob. Having gone down to the Plymouth game and both legs of semi v Derby, and the having to undergo that nervous nail bitting final in such heat, I swore that I will NEVER EVER go to another play off final. NEVERNEVERNEVERNEVERNEVERNEVERNEVERNEVERNEVERNEVERNEVERNEVER
  10. I totally agree, but I am afraid that with limited funds available it is either Sky Sports subscription or a season ticket for the Blackburn End. No contest I'm afraid, so I will just have to put up with the tripe on MOTD. I suppose we should not expect too much coverage on that programme anyway, for as the name suggests it is MATCH and not Matches of the day.
  11. "Should Dunny Come Home?" An undoubted yes.......................he should go and play for Harr'od.
  12. Watching Match of the Day last night, there comes a spot in the programme with what I thought was a refreshing change. Let's have a "Save of the season" say's Gary, "and here are the candidates"................cue clips of some fine saves and some average ones. Now given that we have the best keeper in the Prem in Big Brad and given the saves he has pulled off this past season, saves that no right minded person can honestly say that Brad had any right to make, I was sitting there watching and wondering just how the MOTD men were going to fit in three of Bradley's wonderful saves into a list of eight or ten or whatever. At the end of the clips I was left dumbfounded. What the f###k is going on? Not one save of Brad's. NOT ONE!!!!! That is just proof if any were needed that the tosspot programme is total biased against anything or anyone associated with Ewood Park. It must be down to that dingle producer or editor or whatever he is. I will not pay for my TV licence ever again you cheating barstewards.
  13. Then appoint Bin Laden then. He's not a Catholic.
  14. Never heard of STAN Staunton, maybe Steve Staunton. How about Alan A'Court.. That reminds me of Alf Arrowsmith and Tommy Tynan
  15. From today's Daily Telegraph: "If Steve McClaren leaves Middlesbrough the club will turn to Martin O'Neill, Paul Jewell or Mark Hughes". (Daily Telegraph)
  16. I wonder what will happen if the Premier League follow FIFA's line and make squad numbers compulsory on the front of the shirt?
  17. As the late great Bill Shankley once said, "If one of my players is not interfering with play then I bloody well want to know why"
  18. I am really torn with this one. Bellers has been brilliant and I have always thought he was a top player before he came to us. I would vote for him if I thought it would help keep him at Ewood, but alas my vote will make not one jot of difference on that score. Brad has made saves that he had no business making, that have kept us in some games, enabling us to go on and win. I would vote for him purely on the fact that I have always had a soft spot for him, and that he has committed himself to us for the rest of his carrer. I would vote for Reid on the strength that he is probably our most improved player since last season. But my vote must go to Admiral Nelsen. He has simply been a colossus in the centre of the back four, and I am pretty sure that Sven must have been checking through the Admiral's family history to find a valid reason to have him wearing the three lions instead of that Manc prat Ja Ja Binks.
  19. And St.Mirren I think, for a short while, before becoming manager of East Fife
  20. What's all the doom and gloom about. Sure the games against Wigan and Pompey have not gone to plan but look at the position we are in compared to last season. It's not over yet either, and there will be results both for Rovers and the others that will not be as expected. We are in a great position from last season come what may. The apathy shown by some on here reflects the apathy of the town toward Rovers. If we don't get behind this team then it's not only the CL that we will be saying goodby to.
  21. Axe on for Gray. At right back with Lucas moving to the left!!!!
  22. Gretna it was. When playing in the Unibond they played in preliminary rounds of FA cup.
