  1. Wow, that is a terrible story. I didn't even know his career was over at 26!
  2. Genuinely think you might be right on that one. I don’t have much faith that we will have a good start though to be honest. In fact I think i think we will struggle.
  3. No doubts. Shows the level we are at, anywhere between 0 to 100 likes on twitter for most Rovers posts. The last goal of the day video got about 4.5k views Brereton video 87.4k views and 12.4k likes. Surprised Waggot isn't over there now trying to flog season tickets!
  4. Brereton will have Brereton Diaz on his shirt this season, largely thanks to 10,000 Chileans on twitter. That's about as interesting as it gets at the moment.
  5. More chance of Mowbray getting another years extension than Cooper being appointed here.
  6. Barely even a rumour around at the moment regarding Rovers transfer business.
  7. Why did we do that though? Surely we knew the rules and how we would be punished, also knowing that we would be out of an embargo when the accounts were submitted? So why did we put ourselves on the back foot from the off, instead of submitting them in line with the EFL deadline?
  8. Less needless tinkering from Mowbray. Also less chance for him to try and correct his original terrible line up. He's going to be gutted.
  9. It would have been incredibly harsh and initially we wouldn't have come out of it without criticism. Hindsight obviously has helped on this one but Mowbray is never, ever taking us to where we need to be. We all knew this the day he walked through the door, based on his failings at other clubs. Fair enough, give him the next season but ultimately, what was the point in the end? He wasn't going to become a great manager overnight. At the end of that season, at the absolute latest he should have been replaced but that is just testament to the lack of ambition Rovers show these days. He's now been kept in charge so long, he's about to have us regressing to the point where we were when he first arrived.
  10. Worryingly, Mowbray has probably been the best they've managed to find, which is some effort considering how poor he has been. There isn't a manager that they have employed that I would have back here. Some of those, I'd be quite happy for them never to set foot in the country again. Mowbray's time was up at the end of out first season back in the Championship. A more ambitious club might have seen the light immediately after promotion and replaced him then. Him getting the next season out of courtesy was acceptable. But the magic "journey" he's been telling us about for years has clearly been rubbish. His signings don't match the style he's trying to implement and based off Downings last interview, even some of the players aren't happy with his rotation policy. He's still making the same mistakes now, that he made at Celtic. He's well and truly overstayed his welcome and we are now looking at season of struggle. If Mowbray stays for the full season, we will be fortunate to avoid relegation.
  11. We've just got different names in different job titles but its still a mess, just in a different way. K**n, Berg, Appleton, Mowbray whoever. Venkys haven't appointed a good manager in the last 10 years. At least they were willing to act on poor results back then (for Berg and Appleton at least) now they just leave a guy who managed just 2 wins in 17 games in charge. Shoulder shrugs all round I guess. We have been a shambles since the day Venkys arrived.
  12. I went to the T20 game at headingly yesterday and we were told we must provide evidence of a negative test otherwise they wouldn't let us in. Did my test the day before, reported on the government website, downloaded and signed up the NHS app, got my covid pass. No one even bothered to ask any of us (7 in our group) about a covid test and just let us all in anyway.
  13. We are totally unambitious and have a club structure (if we can even call it that) destined to fail. Clueless and disinterested owners who have had the club in decline since the day they walked through the door. We are nothing like Watford.
  14. Doesn't feel like a viable deal with Grays wages. Bit of traction starting with the Arma rumours though. At least it might get resolved sooner rather than later.
  15. https://www.footballfancast.com/southampton-fc-news/southampton-sam-mcqueen-ralph-hasenhuttl-saints Giving us a player that the manager said only a few months ago probably wouldn't play again. How generous.
  16. 😂 Its all going to work wonderfully! I also would not suggest Mowbray has learned anything at all. People often post a link that highlights his failings and crazy decisions at Celtic that still ring true at Rovers.
  17. Just waiting for the club to announce Mowbray has signed a new contract. He's clearly still got the ear of Venkys if he can bypass nearly 100 applications and just appoint another one of his mates. Terrible decisions all round, as usual at Rovers. Going to be a long season of struggle ahead.
  18. That bit jumped out at me as well. Incredible really, what do we have a medical/sports science team for?
  19. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19438258.southampton-swap-deal-unlikely-end-blackburn-rovers-stalemate/ Swap deal unlikely, so it seems.
  20. We absolutely are not getting anywhere near the playoffs with that squad and certainly not with Mowbray in charge.
  21. Its been mooted before that Obafemi to us would only be a loan, which puts us back to square one next summer but with no cash.
