  1. "You've gotta learn how to play right back from Gally"
  2. Unfortunately, a lot of morons also got rich under these lot.
  3. Safe to say,we have another season of Gallagher on the wing, winless runs and horrific possession based garbage to look forward to next season. Can't wait 😐
  4. Jury is deffo still out on Dolan (and JRC too really). Problem with Dolan is, he burst onto the scene and was electric in those first couple of games. Steps overs, tricks, pace etc. Gave us something totally different. Problem is, I think he was quickly worked out by the defenders in the league after that. So his performances dropped. He went missing for a while but came back with less step overs but was a bit more productive. Next season, hopefully he continues to improve but at the moment, the jury is out for me.
  5. According to that, they only want to pay £10m. Gotta be a non starter at our end considering the amount we have to give Newcastle.
  6. Barnsley confident they are keeping him. https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2021/june/dane-murphy-update/ Hes on holiday at the moment by the sounds of it, so I don't think he's signing for anyone at the moment. ON ALEX MOWATT “We are confident that we can get something done with Alex. “He’s currently on holiday but I believe when Alex gets back we’ll sit down with him and his representatives again and the club believes, I believe, Valérien believes that this is the best place for Alex Mowatt. “He’s our captain, our leader, he provides us goals and assists, he puts in the defensive shift. I don’t see a better place for him and I hope we can get something done there. “We know other clubs are interested, but we’ve been speaking to Alex about an extension for the better part of 18 to 20 months. He knows where we stand. We continue to put forward offers that should attract any player. “So hopefully, when he sits down and looks at his offers, sees the full scope, he’ll realise this is where he should be and we’ll see him lead out the team again next season.”
  7. Yeah, really weird decision. As you say, Southgate now taking tips off Mowbray!
  8. I just couldn't see Wilshire working out for us at all. For the amount of money he'd want and the amount of games he'd play, it would be a serious waste of the wage budget. So, expect him to sign shortly 🤔
  9. Anyone like Jokanovic would come here if Venkys would pay the money. Bizarrely, Venkys never pay for a good manager and it's been our major on field problem for 10/11 years.
  10. Ross County's appointment of Malky Mackay has gone down like a lead balloon (as you'd expect)
  11. I imagine most Rovers fans have ambition and would absolutely love to unearth another Howe or Nuno and have them deliver promotion. The problem though, as always, is the owners. They have no ambitions for the club. They jump into bed with whichever agent gets their ear and we end up with some cheap dross (See Coyle and Mowbray). They get sacked and round and round we go. Until Venkys are gone, we won't be getting promoted.
  12. How is Mogga seeing this? Surely this is more ammunition for him to keep his job? A large investment which is now starting to pay off (on paper). Unless he was expecting BB to get an England call up!!
  13. This is strange and awesome in equal measure. How the hell has this happened? Good luck to him though, I genuinely hope he does well for the Chile National team. And just because of this, I'll actually have an interest in a game I otherwise wouldn't have given a moments though to.
  14. If he's not signing a new contract then its probably the worst business we could do?
  15. I think Cowley signed a contract with Pompey the other day.
  16. Would be Dreamland stuff, if by some miracle he ended up here. He'll be staying in the Premier league though, surely?
  17. I assume the letter gained no response from the club or the owners?
  18. That, is the £200m question. It certainly isn't to benefit Blackburn Rovers Football Club, is the only answer I can give.
  19. I do like this idea as a way to protest against the owners. @Stuart is on the money with the need to get rid of the Coventrio before they can come up with another scheme to sell off Rovers assets. And its a good plan for the immediate problem. However, our overall problem has always been the owners, every decision they make is to the detriment of Rovers either on or off the field. It never seems like they have short, medium or long term plans/aims. The structure of the club set up is abysmal and getting transfers over the line seems to take an ice age because they have to sign it off. But this is our football club and we should still be able to go to Ewood on a Saturday and watch the team play, without fear of supporting the terrible regime that runs us. Everyone getting red and black scarves or wearing that red and black away kit we used to have (or any other agreed colours) would be a great way to attend and show our protest against the owners.
  20. Do we ever have our house in order? Always seems like we are linked with players and they don't arrive, then we get the standard waffle from Mowbray about players demanding high wages/agent fees, all the while other clubs are making moves. If there was ever a close season to have targets sorted and sounded out, ready to sign early doors, its this one. Looks like the usual, everything has to be reviewed and approved by a bunch of people who have no idea about football, tripling the time it takes to make a signing. Ewood circus continues.
  21. Rhodes has already signed for Huddersfield according to Peter O'Rourke on twitter.
