  1. Never had any belief that we would be up at half time! Excellent stuff, not complaining.
  2. "Its a young team, we really need to get these lads some help" Almost a guarantee.
  3. Just over an hour before the Tombola is fired up for the first time this season! What will Mowbrays random bombshell be today?!
  4. That is a concern and it would absolutely p**s me off no end if he did that
  5. 100% agree. You would feel it would benefit them as well in the long run, as if we were run well and had a decent handle on player trading they wouldn't need to keep propping us up with cash injections (or whatever it is they do) The current model makes no sense.
  6. Wonder how many season tickets he was expecting to sell? 6000 isn't many and that should be raising red flags to Venkys about the current set up down at Ewood but I highly doubt it is.
  7. "Get behind them, FFS!" There is going to be the biggest, collective crash down to earth ever tomorrow at 5pm.
  8. Just seen that update from the club myself. 6000 season ticket holders, thats got to be the lowest we've sold in a long time?
  9. I do think we have a starting 11 good enough to not be relegated. Problem is, we have to make sure we win the games whilst that 11 is available before the inevitable injuries start to kick in. Puts a lot more pressure on Mowbray to get it right more than he gets it wrong, which isn't his strong point. Less options and less number of subs available to change the game now as well, which only hinders our already poor manager. He can no longer change half the outfield in order to chase a game when he gets it wrong from the off. Not looking hopeful for the season ahead!
  10. Putting the brakes on? More like hitting reverse straight to league one.
  11. Twitter is full of "we should be welcoming them back with open arms" "They've learnt from from their mistakes" "They are funding us, what more do you want?" I can't believe so many people think they are good owners, or should be welcomed.
  12. Why was the lifeblood of our club about to be sold off and downgraded 🤷‍♂️?
  13. I agree but some of the money absolutely has to be reinvested in the squad. We have 1 fit senior centre back and only Gallagher and BB upfront, who won't score as many as AA did between them. The money is likely to fall into a black hole and we'll be just chucking some U23 players in.
  14. This is my main concern. If he goes to Palace, we'll get no player, just cash that dissappears into the Venky black hole. There won't be a replacement and our season will be an even bigger struggle than it already was. As it stands, assuming AA leaves for Palace, we are in very real trouble of being relegated.
  15. Although I think the club want cash only, I do think £15m + a player on a permanent deal is the best we could get. Gives us a player to cover the loss of Armstrong (in terms of bodies) and some money. If we sell and get no one, we are looking at Gallagher or an under 23 upfront all season. And we already know Gallagher isn't that great.
  16. We won't be reinvesting any of the money into the squad.
  17. Really gaining some more traction now. Norwich, Southampton and Palace all linked with a move. First and foremost, the owners, Waggot, cheston or whoever just want the money. Any interest in getting a decent swap deal so we can field a reasonable team are not their main concerns. I think, £15m, give Newcastle their slice and let Mowbray field a prem loan or Gallagher or some under 23 is the most likely outcome of it all. I can't see us getting either the lad from Southampton or the lad from Norwich, as they will value them too high and we won't get what we need the most. Cash. Odds on us going down if Armstrong leaves must jump significantly.
  18. He's done that before, a couple of times if I remember correctly. Surely, he would have to play Gallagher centrally for the most part. Bonkers to have him putting crosses into Dolan.
  19. Fair point. I didn't really read the tweet once I saw who it was from! Just read the replies in this thread instead!
  20. Assuming it would only be a loan for their player? No good to us if so.
