Chileans have taken to & latched on to BB in large part because the ship that is chilean international football has been steadily sinking into mediocrity since 2015.  Chile failed to qualify for the 2018 WC by the thinnest of margins.  Chile's stars of its so-called "golden generation" no longer shine.  There is no new blood or truly talented young players.  The fillers aiding Alexis Sánchez in attack have sucked.  And along comes this giant piece of stiff English wood.  So Chileans have clung to it as you would to avoid drowning.

I think chileans have gone off the rails and over inflated BB's potential, which is unfair to him.  They dont know how mediocre he's been in the Championship and have pinned too many of their hopes on this shiney new object but such is the desperation of the chilean fan.  Which is why chile's uruguayan coach Lasarte has attempted to temper expectations and warned fans BB still has a long learning curve in front of him.

Don't worry he's in good hands here..........oh no wait, he's not, Mowbray is a dreadful manager.

Is London such a big attraction these days?.

Why move to another Championship club when he got the chance of PL club. Think Southampton or Brighton or Norwich would be idea club for him.

On Fulham, we have no idea who the manager or whether most of the squad will be there. Already seen Cairney and Adarabioyo linked with moves away.

A replacement for Armstrong is a must. Yates seems to be the one they want

We also need money by the looks to stave off FFP.

If we get £10m for Arma it won't all be reinvested in the squad.

Free transfers and less than £500k signings is where we will be looking this summer, even with an Arma sale.

Its 40% after the 3 million fee we paid I imagine. So if we were offer 15 million and accept it, Newcastle would get 4.8 million and we would have 10.2 million to buy a replacement and improve the squad. #

If Yates is the one Mowbray and Rovers recruitment staff has recommend as a replacement for Armstrong then fair enough. I haven't seen enough of him to comment on the player. Only seen the playoff final which he played in

I would think that Armstrong, Gallagher and Dack are our 3 biggest wage earners at the club.

Well we did recuse him from a awful spell at Bolton where he wasn't played properly and we signed him and he helps us to promotion and then kick on the last season and half when he was moved up front and scored goals for fun.

Off the clubs that are rumours to be interested which one would you say would get the best out of Armstrong? (Southampton, Fulham, West Ham, Norwich, Everton have been linked)

Come on, even you know that money would not be reinvested into the squad.

Just another balls up in a monumental long list of balls ups.

I genuinely think we're going down next season.

Don't think anyone is getting a points deduction to bail us out either (Derby??)

Relegation battle is inevitable at the moment and if we can only sign free transfers or loans we will very likely be going down because having Mowbray as manager is starting us off with a severe handicap.

    Well that's just utterly depressing.

We now have to flog AA for a knockdown price because we have left ourselves in a terrible bargaining position and now we are desperate for cash otherwise we are going to be embargoed.

Just out of interest why are the EFL not giving any leeway to clubs as none of them have had matchday revenue for so long?

Yep, no phones, emails or anything in Cornwall.  🙄 Problem with us, we rely on loans too much and no parent club decides to loan out until they've been on pre season tour etc....so, all our business is done late.

Still no word on what's happening with AA, JR.....paralysis as usual..

Looking more and more like its Mogadon again for next season folks....

    100% he's staying.

No idea how he's held onto his job after last season but I suppose we do have the most clueless owners in football.

    Shouldn't be a surprise, really.

My argument was that he doesn't know how to use them really.  Look at where we finished?  But you can support Mowbray if you like, I want him gone and replaced with a better manager.

On Dolan.  The jury is definitely out. And the other one.JRC.  You can't say they are established championship players,

Jury is deffo still out on Dolan (and JRC too really).

Problem with Dolan is, he burst onto the scene and was electric in those first couple of games. Steps overs, tricks, pace etc. Gave us something totally different. Problem is, I think he was quickly worked out by the defenders in the league after that. So his performances dropped.

He went missing for a while but came back with less step overs but was a bit more productive.

Next season, hopefully he continues to improve but at the moment, the jury is out for me.

  8. Barnsley confident they are keeping him.

    https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2021/june/dane-murphy-update/

Hes on holiday at the moment by the sounds of it, so I don't think he's signing for anyone at the moment.

    ON ALEX MOWATT

“We are confident that we can get something done with Alex.

“He’s currently on holiday but I believe when Alex gets back we’ll sit down with him and his representatives again and the club believes, I believe, Valérien believes that this is the best place for Alex Mowatt.

“He’s our captain, our leader, he provides us goals and assists, he puts in the defensive shift. I don’t see a better place for him and I hope we can get something done there.

“We know other clubs are interested, but we’ve been speaking to Alex about an extension for the better part of 18 to 20 months. He knows where we stand. We continue to put forward offers that should attract any player.

“So hopefully, when he sits down and looks at his offers, sees the full scope, he’ll realise this is where he should be and we’ll see him lead out the team again next season.”

Lingard is left out, but for some reason he is starting the game tomorrow against Austria....🤷‍♂️

Looks like we have a Mogadonesque manager in charge, wants to be everyone's friend and we will end up nowhere.

    Yeah, really weird decision.

As you say, Southgate now taking tips off Mowbray!
