Not a bad idea, I like the idea of wearing away colours more as above poster said, a bit like manure do with the green and gold scarves. People need to know what the protest is against though, is it Bulletproof Tony and Waggot, or Venkies as well.
I don't understand supporters who just walk away completely, not really supporters in my eyes ( nothing stopping you going away games only). Don't forget it's Our Club and Town, I certainly will not be pushed out of my home town club by clueless owners or employees only there for a wage.
A protest with a common goal with All fans pulling in the same direction will ask more questions of those at the top. In the unlikely event we do get back to the premiership any time soon I hope those that have walked away for good don't come crawling back. Support for your club should be through good times and bad.
I do like this idea as a way to protest against the owners.
@Stuart is on the money with the need to get rid of the Coventrio before they can come up with another scheme to sell off Rovers assets. And its a good plan for the immediate problem.
However, our overall problem has always been the owners, every decision they make is to the detriment of Rovers either on or off the field. It never seems like they have short, medium or long term plans/aims. The structure of the club set up is abysmal and getting transfers over the line seems to take an ice age because they have to sign it off.
But this is our football club and we should still be able to go to Ewood on a Saturday and watch the team play, without fear of supporting the terrible regime that runs us.
Everyone getting red and black scarves or wearing that red and black away kit we used to have (or any other agreed colours) would be a great way to attend and show our protest against the owners.

So Huddersfield, one of the few sides as bad as us last season, have already made moves bringing in Rhodes and Matty Pearson on free transfers.
We can debate the qualities of those two but they've got themselves, for no outlay, two experienced and proven performers at this level nice and early into the summer.
What are we doing? Who knows but it isn't looking good.
Do we ever have our house in order? Always seems like we are linked with players and they don't arrive, then we get the standard waffle from Mowbray about players demanding high wages/agent fees, all the while other clubs are making moves.
If there was ever a close season to have targets sorted and sounded out, ready to sign early doors, its this one.
Looks like the usual, everything has to be reviewed and approved by a bunch of people who have no idea about football, tripling the time it takes to make a signing.
Ewood circus continues.

Rhodes has already signed for Huddersfield according to Peter O'Rourke on twitter.

Anybody else check this forum/twitter/ let a hundred times a day hoping for positive news. The thought of watching the slow ineffective boring football we witnessed 2nd half of last season fills me with dread. Was hoping by the time I took the kids back to Ewood that they wouldn't be traumatized and bored half to death. Sadly it's looking like Bulletproof Tony and the cronies will be here until the end.
We haven’t had much positive news as a Rovers fans over the last 10 years.
I wouldnt be getting your hopes up.

Rothwell managed 3 goals and 4 assists this season, not setting the world alight kinda stats but I think with the skills he has he's worth keeping hold of and trying to get more out of him (probably would take another manager do so).

How depressing if we went for Wilder and failed, only to stick with Mowbray afterwards.

Genuinely wouldn't be surprised to hear him pull that line out over the summer (or something similar)
And it will be unbelievably infuriating.

Wonder if the journey restarts again due to all those excuses he's trotted out?

Just a reminder to Tony Mowbray that Leicester need another five wins of the fa cup to reach our level.
We are 5 years behind Brentford (apparentl), so around 200 behind Leicester!

Did I read somewhere that the review of the season was happening at some point last week?
(Might have dreamt that (it was a nightmare about TM signing an 8 year contract))

Delighted for Leicester and their owners. Taking note Venkys? Nah thought not.
Yep same here.
But I'm now hoping that the self proclaimed big 6 lose every game they play from now on.

If, and its got to be a big if,Chapman signs a new contract and stays here, he needs to have a stunning pre season, not just in the friendlies against lower league opposition but getting himself to the required fitness and busting a gut in training.
Could be a useful player for us but Mowbray hasn't been a fan of his since he signed him.
I'd be amazed if he signed a new deal though, must be off elsewhere (and no one would blame him)

Obviously it is a matter of opinion (as you say) but I think your first sentence is pretty harsh, to be honest. I do think you make a fair point in your second paragraph though. The Trust perhaps should be directly offering to help Venkys engage with supporters.
I have volunteered to help The Trust going forward and I did get sight of the first draft of this letter and made some suggested changes, many of which were taken on board. This isn't necessarily aimed at you bringdunnback but its too easy sometimes to simply criticise from the sidelines when it is basically one or two people constantly trying to be all things in relation to the Trust. They need our support.
The Trust is about to attempt to re-energise itself and reconnect with the broader Rovers fan base and so I would encourage as many Rovers fans as possible to join in and subscribe - the annual cost is the same as watching just one game on the EFL iFollow channel.
I've said a couple of times that I should sign up to the Trust but never did.
This morning I finally signed up.

He said: “I probably shouldn’t mention the pitch, but is it a coincidence, that now it’s lush like it was at the start of the season, we’re scoring lots of goals on it and moving the ball really quickly on it? I personally don’t think it’s a coincidence.
“I think we need a good pitch and I know we live in the north west and it rains a lot"
An utterly shameless human being. Feck all to do with the shite teams we were playing in dead rubber games (end of season) or newly promoted teams (beginning of season) eh Tony lad?
✅ Aknowledges a problem that could impact on the way he wants the team to play.
❌ Adapts to the situation and changes the style to suit the conditions.
🤷♂️ Shrugs shoulders and hopes it might work anyway.
✅ Nearly relegates us

Lewis Holtby hints at new Rovers direction after departure | Lancashire Telegraph
The summer re-set is gathering pace.
It's a brand new team, young and hungry, for a brand new season. 2021/22 will be different.
Laying the groundwork for a summer of signing freebies and loans to "suppliment" the young squad we have.
Then of course a season of failure lies ahead with the mantra being they are a young team, learning the game, getting to grips with the rigours of the championship.
Back on with another journey.

No surprises I don't think
Even though we've just signed a left back,we now need another one!
Bennett possibly staying, has to be on absolute minimum terms but even so, retaining these players isn't the way to move us forward.

One of my favourite Rovers. Very under-estimated player.
And it was absolutely criminal that we literally gave him to Stoke and he then went on to become a £25m player.

Boring sums it up pretty well (for Rovers at least)
Nothing to play for at all and a manager who openly stated it didn't matter if we won or lost.
It was a friendly in all but name and even though we stuck 5 past an U23 team, like the manager, I just shrugged my shoulders and did something else.

I applaud your efforts to open communications with our dreadful owners.
It's something that was attempted many years ago by some supporters groups and even though it was unsuccessful, I'm glad to see that people haven't given up.
It absolutely needs to happen and I really hope that they respond, and not just with some generic letter sent by Waggot's PA.

Get those excuses in early. Anyone left in any denial that he is staying?
And Mowbray said: “I hope the supporters understand where the football club is in the history of the football club at this moment.
“It isn’t Blackburn Rovers of 1995 competing and fighting at the top of the Premier League.
“While the money has ran away in the Premier League, it’s created a divide to the teams that haven’t been enjoying the Premier League and it becomes more difficult to get out of this division and all we’re trying to do is compete.
“For a lot of this season we did compete. Everyone will have their own reasons of why we fell away.
“In February we lost nearly all of our games after three wins and a draw in January and moving forward all I ask of the team is they compete and give their very best.
Mowbray in dumbing down Rovers shocker, again.
Just being here to "compete" makes it sound like we've just been promoted after 30 years in league one.
A born loser. Just accept where you are instead of proactively making plans/moves to constantly improve us.
Mowbray and Venkys go hand in hand, zero ambition between the lot of them.

It wasn't that long ago that Kamy100 (i think it was Kamy) posted about Venkys being here for the long haul, even had plans to hand the reigns to Balaji’s son further down the line.

I don't know a huge amount about these sorts of markets, but I don't think they're really hinting at much. Probably more a case of them sussing that his next job is likely to be a Championship club (unless he gets offered the job at Palace) and that we're a pretty good candidate for having a vacancy in the near future.
Would be an interesting choice if there were something in it though. Not sure how I'd feel about it.
He'd keep up Tony's legacy of having some embarrassing defending

I believe something similar happened at Sunderland when Ellis Short wrote off a £170m in order to sell to Stuart Donald. Sunderland are now apparently debt free.
Whatever anyone thinks of Venkys I don't believe they have anything but the best interests of the club at heart
I don't believe for one second that Venkys bought this football club because they had its best interests at heart.

That, is the £200m question.
It certainly isn't to benefit Blackburn Rovers Football Club, is the only answer I can give.
