and me, i was convinced he was going two weeks ago, now from bits i hear i am convinced he'll be here next season and beyond
You're joking?
Please tell me you're joking! 😫

I had to vote no because I think he'll have a meeting with Venkys in the summer and convince them he's still the right man.
He should have been sacked a long time ago but I fear "the journey" will go on for a while longer yet.

Norwich promoted. I really hate this time of the season. Watching other fans celebrating, with us either playing dead rubbers or looking over our shoulder.

Either of the Joe Rothwell goals for me.
Yer I went for the Brentford one.
None of the goals evoked any sort of feeling though.
I can still watch the Tugay v spurs volley on YouTube and the feeling you get watching a goal like that, from a Rovers player, never goes away.

Love this latest guff from Mowbray! Apparently he does not condone the practice of changing managers when things are going wrong!
You have to gradually improve the squad by signing players over several windows!
And what is important is that the Club has to "develop an identity".
Utter self-serving shite aimed at the owners Tony!
Just how low can you sink?
You've had the years, you've had the time to develop the club's identity (whatever that means) and you've had the transfer money.
And we are farther away from the goal of Premiership football than ever. And the reason is, you Tony are a rotten manager.
Time to go!
He's in full self preservation mode now. Prepare for more utter bollox in his interviews before the season is done.

Blackburn Rovers proudly present a collection of the most average goals you're likely to see.
The days of a Tugay, MGP, Bellamy, Bentley etc. cracker are well and truly over.

If I were the owners I would always have had the view that the manager is the most important person at the Club and that money in that respect should be no object.
My shortlist would read something like:
Experienced names:
Bilic Jokanovic Hughes
Younger managers
Cowley Ainsworth Neil Critchley
Your first sentence is spot on.
And yet Venkys always do the opposite and pick the cheapest option around.

We desperately needed that win.
If just about scraping past a poor Derby team keeps Mowbray in a job beyond the end of the season then the lunatics have taken over the asylum.
That win might be enough to keep us up,so now we should be sussing out his replacement ASAP.

Get in!
Good lad Elliott.

Sounds like Armstrong is pushing up the xG stats.
👍

Insane that he's still our manager, he's fucking useless.

A Mowbray inspirational classic. Saying his main center half is one that has hardly appeared for us and is still injured.
Cheers.
What a 🔔🔚 our manager is.

Ah the famous ‘groin/calf/thigh strain’ absence for Darragh. My ‘main centre half’ comment went down well then...
I've missed this comment, what was said?

What's the expected interest (XI) in this game?
From the fans, Mowbray, Players or owners?
I'd say very low for all.

I smell something not very nice brewing there, probably a parting of the ways on mutual agreement terms. Then he'll suddenly be fit to play for someone else somewhere warm.
A seasons wages for doing sod all and a nice little pay off with a percentage of his contract. That'll be another million or two down the drain on him and Downing this season, by Rovers version of Bill Shankly building football clubs !
Yer I think you're on the right lines with this. Somethings not right here. Pretty sure he was nearing a return towards the end of Feb. Not heard a peep out of anyone since then.
I doubt we will see him again this season and then probably a pay off in the summer with no real explanation.
Would be a total waste of money if that's how it goes.

'The situation will be reviewed once the season has been completed, with an investigation into how the campaign deteriorated and how the club propose to move forward. Owners' Representative Suhail Shaikh and Chief Executive Steve Waggott will be at the centre of those discussions'
Mogga's bestie and a bloke who knows nowt about football will decide Mogga's future. What could possibly go wrong.🙄
The dullard is staying.
That will be the most pointless discussion ever and the decision (undoubtedly will be to keep Mowbray)will end up relegating us.

Coventry at home on Thursday for them next.
Could easily be another 3 points.

3-1 now.

There is no stat more damning of this manager and this season than the fact that Rotherham can overtake us by winning their games in hand.
Unlikely yes. But possible.
Pitiful
But what about expected goals......?

This is what I've said to both twitter analysts Watson and the other bloke.
But they literally bang on about it so much
I said similar previously that the quality of the player isn't taken into account.
BB and Gallagher aren't expected to score no matter how many shots they have.
It's bullshit.

How do Venkys gain our trust, more like.

As always, its about money. The "big clubs" which already hold a significant advantage over most clubs in the leagues, simply want to protect themselves more and f**k the rest.
None of the current footballing bodies will actually be able to carry out any of the threats they have suggested, they know they can't have these competitions without these players/clubs.
It'll probably end up being a "compromise" of a total UCL reform, giving more money & protection to these parasites.
