Just for fun I decided to have a look at the last 15 games (league only) of Mowbray and the two previous sacked managers (I've ignored Lambert).

Makes grim reading for old Tony.

    Mowbray - P15 / W2 / D4 / L9 - 0.67 PPG

    Coyle - P15 / W4 / D4 / L7 - 1.07 PPG

    Bowyer - P15 / W3 / D8 / L4 - 1.13 PPG

Interestingly both Bowyer and Coyle were sacked going into an international break so looks like we missed the boat the other week.

I cannot understand how anyone with such a record is still clinging on. Man of integrity...

    Its because:

    Its about performances, not results

The stats say we should be promoted already.

There is light at the end of the tunnel.

    But also:

    Its about results

    We don't look at stats

    The tunnel collapsed

Think the decision to sack him has been made but cos we used HSH agency if they dont have a suitable candidate might be why hes not gone yet.

I mean if our search is limited to one agency, what's the point?

It would in fact just show how little Venkys have been paying attention over the last 10 years, or how much they actually care.

  3. The latest interview says it all.

    He's going no where.

All he really needs is 1 win and a couple of draws from the remaining games and he's sorted.

    Unbelievable stuff really.

All we can look forward to is selling Arma and Trav in the summer and allowing Nyambe to go to Stoke on a free.

Mowbray can rebuild with Boro cast offs.

Nyambe wants out, and I don't think anyone would blame him. Rovers see more value in a Josh King esque tribunal situation than extending for 12-months and trying to get value for him on the market from a fairly weak position. Of the teams who want him, Stoke is the preferred location - perhaps they'll offer a better wage/guaranteed starting spot?

Disgraceful how Mowbray has treated Nyambe.

Ridiculous that we've allowed it to get to this.

Ha ha yeah. We were all well past our primes by this stage but there are a couple of ex pros in that pic (not famous ones by any stretch) and the following year we had Barry Lavety instead of ‘Micky Quinn’. The giant next to me in the photo is no longer with us sadly.

My advice to anyone is to keep playing for as long as you possibly can. Regardless of the standard.

I'd wholeheartedly agree with that last paragraph.

I stopped playing 11 aside a few years ago now but still play 5/6 aside.

Not played for ages due to Covid but had a game last night, it was great to be playing again.

Not guess work, heard it from someone in recruitment at another Champ club. Not saying anyone has to trust it as fact, just what I've been told. Don't agree with it, I think we'd be better off promoting a youth player to play 2nd fiddle, or finding a free/loan player.

Had a feeling he might have got another offer from us.

We've got that other lad joining and I suspect Bell doesn't rock the boat too much here, so won't kick off much about being back up.

Or the new lad can come in and learn how to play the position from Bell 🙈

If Mowbray is watching Norwich and a possession based team that plays up front and at em controlled football he will easily see where the duck he has got it all wrong!

4-0 up after 30:mins, easy controlled football, players simple passing to each other and direct not backwards 🤬

Corberan is a performance based coach, so its cool.

They get the 3 points, I guess?
