  1. With Luton it's not just the recruitment, it's the organisation and ethos behind the team - their pragmatism, not giving much away, not playing pretty passing but effective football, and have a manager (and the previous one who went to Soton) who can spot a team's weakness and who don't give anything away I hate writing this about what is really another small rubbish southern club
  2. A good manager is usually a lucky manager. You could also say we also used all our luck early in the season when we were playing badly but winning
  3. Preston away we were very unlucky to be fair. Coventry away you can add to that list, one of the worst I’ve seen
  4. Come on. As an example the “football” tonight was awful unless you enjoy watching endless passes in our defensive third. It’s excruciating to watch and so frustrating when the idea of the game is to score goals. The Luton keeper had very little to do tonight and he hasn’t been the first in many games recently ….. condemnation of our manager and his style of play
  5. It’s been an implosion of epic proportions. Five points out of 24 (?), barely believeable when we were so well placed. I’m bitterly disappointed. How people can say it’s been a successful season and they’ve enjoyed when it’s ended so badly is beyond me
  6. His game has matured at Luton. He showed glimpses of if at Rovers but needed a manager who believed in him. He was outstanding tonight
  7. Thanks for your input Excuse me if I disregard someone who thinks Dolan is the “most exciting player in the club” and anyone who says otherwise “doesn’t have a pulse”
  8. Strange reply Both managers messed it up in their own ways This season’s implosion feels more sickening though because we were so well placed just a few short weeks ago
  9. No, you’ve got it all wrong. Dolan is the “most exciting player in the club” and anyone who doesn’t think so “hasn’t got a pulse” It’s there, in black and white, in this thread, before kickoff
  10. Why were Luton poor? They played the game brilliantly. to their strengths, and should have won easily really
  11. Did he have his coat on? Maybe he was bitterly disappointed like the rest of us. I wouldn't shed a tear if he left though. This season in many ways has been more frustrating and ultimately disappointing than under Mowbray last year
  12. So the agony goes to the final game. Overall another pretty lame, spineless performance with too many players going missing Luton were tough and pragmatic and showed what is required of a top 6 team and probably should have won the match by 2 or 3 goals
  13. Have we tested their keeper this half? I thought we had a chance of the playoffs?
  14. Rovers could easily be 3 down here. And we still haven't tested their keeper this half.
  15. Make it 2-0. That's the way it's going
  16. This is awful. Goal threat nil.
  17. Last throw of the dice, 2 non-scoring forwards replaced by 2 non-scoring forwards
  18. This is Kenilworth Road all over again They had a look at us in the first half, applied a bit of pressure in the second, and we concede
  19. And there it is..............................goodnight
  20. I still think this is pre-ordained Luton will sneak this late on 1-0.
  21. Didn't you read the pre-match comments? Dolan is "our most exciting player" and anyone who disagrees "hasn't got a pulse" !!
  22. Brereton off, Dolan on the left to raise the pulses, Dack on
  23. Looking at the Pickering chance it was more difficult to miss than score
  24. Brereton's most dangerous passes today have been backwards Hedges rubbish again
  25. Better from Dolan. If he's going to play anywhere it's on the left side of attack
