2025 Summer Transfer Thread. 😂

That account when it comes up with its own #exclusives" tends to be full of shite. -
Still nonethewiser as to what watching the players in the dressing rooms or post substitute interviews add or why a single person would have any interest in either, but there you go.

Even beyond an understandable additional skepticism around Rovers, I don't get why you would assume that everything said is 100% accurate. They wouldnt come out and say if they werent aligned. But they said that before the summer had begun, and before any transfers. So obviously at that point they were aligned. Whether they agree on every signing that has since happened and will happen in the future, remains to be seen. -
Why would anyone want to see inside the dressing room? Sky will broadcast players taking a shit soon enough. VAR at least has a purpose. Decisions are more accurate now.

You clearly arent reading what I am putting. I never said they arent aligned. In fact my point is that we wont know either way. -

Fair enough. I just don't believe you. Rohl at Sheffield Wednesday has been applying for other jobs and that has been all over the media. I think this supposedly well respected yet mystery journalist would have published a story about a Championship manager applying for another Championship job much lower down the table rather than confiding in you who he happened to know. -

So a well respected journalist had information that wasnt reported anywhere else and instead of publishing a story, he told you? -
Interviewing players after being subbed and footage inside the dressing room. How is that allowing the game to develop and grow? I dont get why anyone would want that, who gives a shit what a player thinks after being subbed? And why would anyone want to see inside the changing room? At least VAR has a clear reason, to make decisions more accurate, which it objectively does.

How is saying that we dont know for sure either way "negative?" As a side note. Did they not say they were aligned before any players were signed and before the window had opened? In which case, everyone is aligned. -

I remember us being regularly linked with Ryo Germain last season after he had a bit of a purple patch for the first time in his career. Unleaded seemed to be his biggest fan and the suggestion was that Eustace wasnt as keen as those above him pushing a deal and it never happened. Well, he replaced Ohashi and his brief goal spell fell away. Hes also now 30 so probably one we did well to avoid -

There are definitely downsides to how most if not all football clubs now run. You get power mad director of footballs who are ultimately not solely working on getting the best team possible for that season. There regularly seems to be instances of disagreements and ultimately the manager/head coach is always best placed to know what his team needs, yet can be overruled. Teams also seem overly reliant on data which is limited in what it can do. There are certain things, for example intangibles like leadership/experience/personality, that it cant possibly measure. The Sheffield United situation is a good example. I dislike Wilder but he just accumulated 92 points and lost to a last minute play off final winner. Surely he is better placed to know what that team needs to get promoted as he has done before as opposed to relying on AI and a manager who hasnt really achieved much. -

We cant I agree although I dont think I have seen people suggest that they aren't Ismael signings. Its clear that the last 2 managers didnt get what they wanted in the market so they clearly werent aligned hence them leaving. Ismael, we dont know either way. How is it a conspiracy theory? We dont know either way whether these 2 so far are Ismael endorsed. Im not saying they arent. -

How can we know whether a manager signs off on every signing or not? -

I mean, I havent predicted relegation or said either signing is shit. And I havent said that "all our best players will be sold" although the ones with 1 year left are obviously at risk. But if it helps your point. -

You keep saying this as a response to pretty much everything, relevant or otherwise. I was saying that Ismael wanted 90% done by pre season which was never happening. -

I don't think he can be put down as a "decent spot" by any means yet. He has not scored for us and only has set up one with a nice bit of play, obviously because he got injured so soon and missed much of the remainder of the season. For clarity, he isn't a waste of money yet either. Based on the glimpses we have seen, he is incredibly quick but very raw too. But comparing to Dolan, he has proved to be our most effective wide player and a very capable Championship standard player, so that is the standard. -

I was posting after pick32 said that there is "zero evidence" that Dolan is better than Kargbo. The benchmark of the Dolan of the season just gone is quite strong. Hard to know too much about Kargbo, hopefully can cut out diving in the box, giving away silly fouls and running off the pitch. -
No, but it's irrelevant to my point that the proposed changes are dreadful.

Wasn't a comment on his ability, was just pointing out that it isn't a domestic deal. The growing narrative seems to be almost as if Eustace would have a full team of English pensioners if he could. The fee will be far more than we would spend here. -

Dolan has proven to be a decent/good Championship wide man. There is no evidence at this stage to suggest that Kargbo is better. -

Derby are also spending big money on an American striker from the MLS. -

Because we have loaned out a centre back who as far as I can remember, has never started a game for us? -
Those new interviews and the access allowed again is ridiculous. Americanised bollocks. Get in the bin.

I still don't get the discrepancy between peoples opinions on Hyam and Carter. Carter is the one partner that Hyam struggled with, at times as they were excellent together in Hyam's first season. When Carter has played in the last 2 years, he has individually been poor. Hyam had a really good season just gone whilst Carter either was playing poorly or sat on the sidelines, yet the conclusion from that weirdly is that Hyam's reputation hasn't improved, and Carter's hasn't declined. I do think that an experienced head does bring more out of Batth, but I don't get why it's just been concluded that specifically with Carter, it's as if the flaws of them playing together are solely down to Hyam. -

I agree, said the same the other day. Even if we sign a centre back, Hyam and Carter will start. Kargbo and Hedges will be wide with De Neve on the bench and Tavares wont start even if he is fit.
