  1. What he did was wreckless, unnecessary and irresponsible. His foul wasnt for the team.
  2. The elephant in the room will always be a transfer record "boasting" 2 waste of spaces for 12 million and more misses than hits. We are definitely in a better position than this time last year or this time when he joined but the next step is the biggest and his transfer record especially creates huge doubts as to whether he can achieve that or whether the rate of growth justifies the net spend in that time. Equally removing him could be seen as very harsh. I cant ever remember being so unsure about a managers future, usually I feel very much one or the other. He talks a lot of shite but so do most managers so not too bothered about that.
  3. Very young is a bit of a stretch and I also thought Johnson was going to be a really good signing which he hasnt been at all.
  4. Maybe he would be a good signing, but a player who will be 33 soon after the season starts with such an underwhelming CV is hardly cause for much optimism. Based on the source, its very unlikely anyway.
  5. To be fair we can surely aspire to more than to simply exist.
  6. Lets hope he is typically wrong if that is the standard of goalkeeper we want to push us into the Premier League!
  7. Last season he had a hot streak for a month within an otherwise poor season. This season his hot streak was longer and as a result his overall numbers are better but before that and even these last 3 games he has been his usual languid and ineffective self and I suspect that people got a little carrying away suggesting that we could struggle to hold on to him and that he can sufficiently cover the absence of Dack. Dack scores goals consistently, I think his biggest dry spell is 6 games.
  8. He cannot play effectively in any position though at this level.
  9. A showing of petulance and needless aggression does not come under "showing committment" and "showing he cares" in my book.
  10. Not felt as furious in the aftermath to a game for a long while. You knew we again would fail to take a chance of the play offs. We have absolutely no chance whatsoever with this squad. Some pathetic displays and another imbalanced selection.
  11. This has been absolutely embarassing, and horrendously predictable. Absolutely no chance whatsoever of the play offs, another chance going down the pan. Doesnt help when the manager as we all know has spent 12m on 2 absolute donkeys. Brereton gets everyone excited by winning a couple of fouls last week but ultimately I cannot remember another Rovers player lacking composure and technical ability as much as that dolloper. Gallagher reverts back to being a useless winger, has done nothing bar pass up a superb chance because he has a touch like a donkey. Travis has been irresponsible, woeful by Walton for the second, Rothwell has again been totally useless and ineffective and Bennett and Bell are defensive liabilities as we all know.
  12. So youd be happy with Gallagher out wide? The week after he scored and played better in his actual position.
  13. Not sure some of them will even in League 1.
  14. He still didnt need to stockpile shite players like he has. Honeyman works hard but lacks any real ability. Neil Warnocks ears might prick up at the prospect of a short term contract saving a Yorkshire club from relegation. Would be a no brainer if he was interested.
  15. To be fair, McCann has signed some right shite for Hull. Magennis, Samuelsen, Wilks, Honeyman, Eaves, Elder etc.
  16. And it would be quite justified too.
  17. This weekend may highlight how poor and costly the failure to win any of the 3 games last week with others slipping up was. I suspect we will need to win tomorrow to give us any sort of realistic chance.
  18. Need to win this really, still ground to make up and we cant be failing to win 4 on the bounce at this stage of the season.
  19. Because Armstrong can play there with some competence, unlike Gallagher who has never had a good game there. Unfortunately the squad is particularly lacking there, I'd rather Armstrong played central ideally. Just because we are doing "fairly goodish" (3 draws on the bounce) doesnt mean that all areas of the side are working. Such a statement is totally removing the possibility of discussing any potential constructive improvement. Youve never actually confirmed that you are content with Gallagher, Samuel or Brereton playing as wide men, you always deflect rather than agreeing with it or criticising the manager for it.
  20. Did you ever enlighten us on if and how you know Jonty?!
  21. You could apply that logic to everything. We could put me in net and we dont know 100% for sure until wed tried it as to whether I would be the spectacular failure or not. All I can see is that this wide striker bollocks has hindered the team more than it has helped it.
  22. Bar Armstrong there is not much quality up front at all but there are much more pressing concerns such as the wide areas. A couple of good wide men, Holtby (eventually Dack) and Armstrong could be a dangerous attack.
  23. You did but you struggle to comprehend that the way Mowbray plays (like any manager) and the most effective way are not always the same thing.
  24. Not for me. We as of yet havent broke into the top 6 with the same squad that you suggest, barring Cunningham and even he played 10 games. We need more than just to keep the status quo.
  25. For a start, the target is a top 6 finish, ergo our current finish would be slightly below expectation. I know that it isnt as simple as that and think we are doing ok but your justification is bizarre, to imply that being close to expectations means that the team cannot be criticised in any way is ridicilious even for you. But just as you can have a functional element of a poor team, you can have a dysfunctional aspect of one performing well. We have Lenihan and Adarabioyo at CB, Travis and Downing in midfield and have had the goals of Dack and now Armstrong, all strengths through our team. We are far better in central areas than in wide areas, with only Nyambe a strength and even he needs to improve his final ball. The wide areas HAVE NOT been a strength and all parts of the team are not equally responsible. Samuel, superb at Charlton in his natural position was totally ineffective v Swansea. Rothwell has done bugger all all season. I wanted a winger and we were linked with a few, Atsu is dog shit but that is totally irrrlevant to the fact that we need 2 good wide men. He wouldnt have fixed that either way.
