  1. I'm at home, poorly, but cheering on the Rovers.
  2. Maybe popping down to Wood to cheer the lads on might help then Rev. You're two miles away.
  3. I doubt that's how things work at this level of football management. If he goes, it will be a case of a pay off and mutual agreement.
  4. I thought that might be, but surely all JDT / press officer has to say is that JDT is not taking questions on transfers, GB will be doing that on Monday.
  5. JDT has played at the pinnacle of European football at first rate clubs, and under world class coaches and managers. We must seem like an utter shambles to him. We are not dealing with someone who has come through the ranks and feels lucky to be at Rovers. He's an experienced, confident, and I assume, proud man. I can't see him sticking around much longer.
  6. You said LT follows club line. I pointed out that LT did the opposite.
  7. JDT was very throughout the window with his line that the squad could not be weaker at the end of the window. He said that phrase in nearly every interview when quizzed about transfers.
  8. It's worth noting that only this week, Andy Bayes said that JDT had confirmed to him that if AW was sold, he would be loaned back to the club for the remainder of the season. Make of that....
  9. Reading SUFC Forum. All agreed Fleck was a great player, but knackered now. Maybe we get a few games and dressing room leadership from him. Maybe he puts in some Gordon Cowans performances in.
  10. The midfielder not joining then. JDT'S challenge to the club was that his squad needed to be stronger coming out of the window than going in. On that measure they've failed. Incompetence, financial restraints? The battle is on to keep the club in this division.
  11. From LT just now: Less than an hour to go before the deadline. Remember, it doesn't need to be announced before 11pm, just relevant paperwork submitted, as Rovers know all too well. Told the deal is on track.
  12. Broughton identifies the players within ever-changing financial constraints and Waggot will oversee the deals, I assume. They might be both at fault, but we know that our record in the transfer market has been poor for longer than GB has been around. Truth is no-one on this Board knows who does what, with the exception of the owners, who have a long, long charge sheet.
  13. Worth noting JDT's comments that buying players in this window is risky and cleat that V's won't want to spend now - if at all- anyway. That said we might end up signing McGuire through embarrassment.
  14. He can play left back. https://www.thisisanfield.com/2024/01/liverpool-recall-sixth-player-from-loan-as-centre-back-returns/
