  1. JDT was very throughout the window with his line that the squad could not be weaker at the end of the window. He said that phrase in nearly every interview when quizzed about transfers.
  2. It's worth noting that only this week, Andy Bayes said that JDT had confirmed to him that if AW was sold, he would be loaned back to the club for the remainder of the season. Make of that....
  3. Reading SUFC Forum. All agreed Fleck was a great player, but knackered now. Maybe we get a few games and dressing room leadership from him. Maybe he puts in some Gordon Cowans performances in.
  4. The midfielder not joining then. JDT'S challenge to the club was that his squad needed to be stronger coming out of the window than going in. On that measure they've failed. Incompetence, financial restraints? The battle is on to keep the club in this division.
  5. From LT just now: Less than an hour to go before the deadline. Remember, it doesn't need to be announced before 11pm, just relevant paperwork submitted, as Rovers know all too well. Told the deal is on track.
  6. Broughton identifies the players within ever-changing financial constraints and Waggot will oversee the deals, I assume. They might be both at fault, but we know that our record in the transfer market has been poor for longer than GB has been around. Truth is no-one on this Board knows who does what, with the exception of the owners, who have a long, long charge sheet.
  7. Worth noting JDT's comments that buying players in this window is risky and cleat that V's won't want to spend now - if at all- anyway. That said we might end up signing McGuire through embarrassment.
  8. He can play left back. https://www.thisisanfield.com/2024/01/liverpool-recall-sixth-player-from-loan-as-centre-back-returns/
  9. If nothing else I'm looking forward to GB's appearance before the press to explain all.
  10. https://thepalaceway.com/news/malcolm-ebiowei-crystal-palaces-one-percent-2023
  11. We are similar vintage rigger then. I respect those who "boycott" the club and admire their determination, albeit I don't think it will have an impact on who owns Rovers. We see things differently, we love Rovers and we should be able to shake hands on that basis.
  12. Thousands of people put aside their opposition to Venky's to follow the club they love. It is part of their weekly life ritual, which has often gone on for decades, in my case passed down the family for over a hundred years.
