  1. Tearing myself away from the drama going on at work, to something more important.....I think you are more forgiving than me Ian, and probably rightly so. That said I will argue the toss all day long if it is done in good faith, but I'm not sure that's going on in this case. And I find the "we know what's really going on" implied (not by you, by the Gooseberry) not helpful at all. As for the wider point, I didn't feel that the boycott was likely to be very successful, because we have a rather pliant hardcore of fans who even in the Steve Kean dog days just shuffled on by when other were calling for change. But once hardworking good folk wanted to give it a go, I am all for it. I've been missing games for two seasons now, so not a great sacrifice for me, but something has to be done because my support is dangling by a thread right now.
  2. To act decently, you have to do so in both good faith and in agreement with the rules that we set for each other. Sadly, we are not all adults in the sense you suggest. Take our now departed Chaddy, who behaved like a drunk in the corner of the pub shouting endlessly the same things over and over again, seemingly with a level of enjoyment and lack of self-reflection. The bar staff would rightly ask him to leave.
  3. Made in bad faith if you consider his rather childish comments in the other place.
  4. A lot better than recent performances, but not great.
  5. An improvement in the few minutes.
  6. Funny how some players are lazy and others aren't.
  7. I posted the image for info and can't vouch for its authenticity or accuracy.
  8. Absolutely on point Ian. We are in a desperate situation, with no end in sight. At least we won't have to face the clampets not season.
  9. Done for about 30 minutes and then managed to get into the game, and then a smart goal. Maybe we get lucky and get a point.
  10. Dreadful stuff from us. Watching through my eyes.
  11. Enjoying Bodo Glimt showing how the game is played in front of a tiny crowd.
  12. There cannot be many Rovers fans who have not missed a season since WW2, if any others, so GHD, I salute you. My journey has been rather shorter, in I think 69/70. But my grandfather, who took me to Ewood, could remember our FA Cup win in 1928. My great-grandfather on my mum's side was also a watching fan, so I guess my family support might stretch into the C19th. I have something to say, but I'd like to do a good job, worth of this thread. Best all.
  13. Lazy and laid back......far too much of that language for my liking.
  14. Watching Liverpool for some relief. None yet.
