  1. Hull City 1 - 3 Rovers Honeyman (8) Brereton (44, 72) Gallagher (90+1)
  2. Davenport isn't rubbish at all. In the games I've seen him play this season I've thought he has done well. Johnson is probably also involved more because he is vastly more experienced than any of the squad. When managing games he has been a great older head to add to the midfield.
  3. Big Sam had a stinker yesterday. The guy is feckin huge but for someone so big his ability to hold up the ball is horrific. I almost put my foot through the TV yesterday when he lost the ball for the umpteenth time when we were under the cosh.
  4. On Darragh; anyone know where he lives? Sure Ive come across him running in sunny Southport but not 100%?!
  5. Feel the skipper deserves some more credit. He's been immense this season and he is on course to be in contention for our player of the season if he continues his current form.
  6. Massive, massive win especially with Bournemouth slipping up. It was apoplectic during the last 10 mins with the lack of nouce of Gallagher but our 3/4 centre halves are so good they made it all look very easy so I needed not of worried...although Kaminski's was absolutely top drawer especially with the player immediately in front of him making a swipe at the ball.
  7. Gallagher what has he come as. Jesus wept.
  8. Gallagher fuck me. GET IT IN TO THE CORNER
  9. Our biggest game of the season so far. Lost a bit of momentum IMO so could do with another 'spark'. A solid win or last minute draw will give us that self belief again. I seem to remember against Sheff Utd it was a crunching tackle from Travis. Got a good feeling though. Cardiff are no great shakes and we should do well. CC 0 - 2 Rovers Van Hecke '42, Khadra '57 COYB!
  10. Is this the new "seen looking at houses in Clitheroe"?
  11. Interesting...! The same as most I assume, I had never heard of him before. A little research suggests he has a decent pedigree.
  12. Absolutely tremendous work. Keep us all updated with the Ewood Express sponsorship initiative too
  13. TBF I think it was widely acknowledged by nearly everyone that this was done and dusted on Tuesday
  14. Dreaded the same when I read it...
  15. Any news or tidbits on potential signings?
  16. Sorry I was paraphrasing...if covid cases are greater (which they are) then clearly the risk increases that they'll be recalled.
  17. LT reporting that both Van Hecke and Khadra increasingly likely to be recalled next month. Losing those two would be a HUGE kick in the ballcocks!
  18. Back on topic somewhat... What a performance. Just wow. Clinical, solid and ruthless. The togetherness of this side is palpable. The drive, the determination obvious and the perfection in which each is playing their role exquisitely. (Hyperbole overload 😁) We are so well oiled and full of confidence now that we could probably give most teams in the PL a good game. Confidence is so important with us (see BBD) and it was if the players simply knew that we would win comfortably. As soon as we went 1 up it was game over in my eyes. Brum were very 1 dimensional in their approach play (I.e.get the ball up to Deeney) and the 3 at the back dealt with it so easily it was almost embarrassing to watch. I used to laugh about Lennihans 1 dimensional diagonal Cross field passes, but the ability for 1 of the back 3 to now step into midfield with the ball showed that given the space even Darragh can play football. The weight on the pass for Khadra's goal was as good as you'll see so kudos for that big man! BBD continues to the defy the odds with his goal scoring exploits. Remarkably he still runs down a blind alley at times but I think I can cut him some slack on that...any watching scouts will surely say this kid is very good, but he can go on and just get better, and better and better. All in all a great afternoon and with it looking ever more likely it will be the last game we all see in the flesh for a while I'm certainly glad I went on. We simply have to try and keep this side together in Janusry. We don't need anyone, or anything, else. Bust a gut on short term deals for the out of contract players and I think we have a real, real chance. As the great Andy Scott once said: "IT'S HAPPENNIIINNNNGGGG"
  19. I think it was probably a reasonable thing to do. We paid a lot less then what they wanted and the kicker was a 40% sell on fee. I can imagine a lot of our signings are similar in make-up due to the lack of funds we have available for outright fees (and yes, I know transfer fees are amortised)
  20. Hopefully some of the players who are not vaccinated will now start to consider doing so if they start missing football matches.
  21. Well done guys. Thoroughly enjoyed listening in (whilst trying to build some boring reports) and felt what you had to say contained some good and useful insight which helps to contextualise a lot of what hear from the club and the grumblings of supporters.
  22. Think so, Wayne. I'd really recommend purchasing in advance though either online or on the blower as there have been some big queues at the box office when I've wandered past recently.
