  1. Looks like we should have a good attendance tonight. I bought a couple of match tickets earlier today and couldn't find a decent seat anywhere!
  2. The Rao's luck has to change some time with an appointment. The law of averages suggests they will...look at the inbred lot down the road!
  3. If we had started the season with this back 4 we would be in a playoff spot right now
  4. When was the last time we won 3 back to back games in either of the top 2 divisions?
  5. I personally thought Johnson was tremendous. What an astute signing that guy is turning out to be. He and Travis in that deeper lying middle of the park must be up there with the best in the division. Cunningham and William's coming back in to the side has made us very solid. Obviously delighted with Walton too. Always looks good to save a pen but his height really helped towards the end to take the hanging crosses and pumps forward. The corner appears to have been turned and looks like the way weve played in the past couple of games we look like steely with our preferred defensive 7
  6. I'm shocked people think £4 a pint (or equivalent) is expensive for a pint of Fosters. Personally it's not something I would ever drink (unless I suddenly become 17 again); but its merely the higher end ot what I'd expect to pay in a pub these days. I'm completely unaware of prices in Blackburn but if I went out were I live (Southport) I would easily expect to pay close to a tenner for two decent pints. The bigger issue for me is season tickets. If the club were bold and rolled back prices akin to 2010 levels of £200; then I am certain the number sold would have been huge and a full(er) ground generates much greater income through both shirt sales and concourse sales.
  7. It's on SSN as confirmed Championship deals for today
  8. Blog post from me around Charlton and our [lack of] defence which can be found
  9. TM is a good guy. I genuinely think he has the clubs interests at heart. I think when he inevitably gets the chop at some point he is remembered fondly. People really have forgotten how much of a basket case our great club had become before he walked through the door and in reality the guy plaited piss getting us promoted at the first time of asking from League 1. He clearly isn't perfect and he gets some things wrong but overall he gets more right than wrong IMHO. In Tony I trust
  10. Just bought match tickets for me and 2 of my kids. Little girls' first Rovers game and the first since my lad has become 'football mad' about 6 months ago so hoping we get a good win so he really falls in love. Rovers 2 - 0 Charlton
  11. Agree. It's basically become people arguing and minute details being pawed over. It's boring. I literally just skip through most of what's said now until I happen upon someone I know definitely doesn't just spout shite all the time. Can mods not help get to grips?
  12. I wouldn't be upset about Carson. I honestly never saw him play last season (probably because he barely featured) but hes a seasoned pro in a position that experience is a huge bonus and it's something that we probably need to help guide a number of younger players immediately in front of him
  13. Do you need both William's and Mulgrew? William's can cover both centre and left back respectively and Bennett can cover across midfield and right back so we dont REALLY need another defender on there...IMHO of course!
  14. I think there is an element of planning for the future with Gallagher. There is no way on gods green earth that Graham will be first choice in 20/21. The fella is getting too old for a regular starting place...and that's not being cruel that's a fact. As Danny retreats further in to the background, Gallagher and Brereton will creep further forward. I suspect Samuel and Nuttall will vacate and those mentioned along with Armstrong will compete for the place(s) depending on formation
  15. Don't forget that this is all conjecture. It isn't fact. Let the window run its course and pass judgement then or as the new signings arrive.
  16. REALLY hope the keeper is Ruddy. He was excellent in the cup games I saw him last season!
  17. I'm not advocating a move for Adam but a straw poll on Facebook suggests most Stoke fans are disappointed he left and would have liked him to play more games last season. Seems like the quarterback role is the one he excels at with a couple of 'legs' around him...
  18. Get Jason Steele back Underrated whilst he was here *(my tongue is firmly in my cheek before anyone lambasts me!!)
  19. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2019/july/johnson-joins2/
  20. Surely economies of scale dictate that a huge decrease in price would see a big rise in sales and subsequently a bigger increase in sales of shirts, beverages, pies etc etc?
