  1. Not really sure how that’s any different to Ohashi getting caught in the head - keeper benefits every time from them but it’s never a yellow card
  2. A lot of fans complaining about their LCB Roberts on their team sheet. Should bode well for Alebiosu down our right
  3. Without going down a 'non-football' rabbit hole as that belongs outside of this part of the forum.....but I really hope you don't regularly complain about the standard of living / inflation etc. if you can go out and buy 4 football shirts a year + a basketball top for what I assume would be £350+ combined and then do it all again the next year as they very slightly change. £90 is extortionate, and you're either delusional, or lying (or both) if you're justifying it.
  4. Similar opinions to others in that I'm thinking absolutely no chance given a mid-week away match. Having said that, a result here puts us into a decent position heading into the 2nd quarter of the season....fixtures after this until Christmas look favourable, with 6 of 9 at home and 6 of 9 against bottom half teams. Although we do have 7 games in 23 days - that Ipswich cancellation is frustrating on so many levels, not least as they'll probably hit form now. Wednesday, Oxford and Pompey in December could make for a happy or disastrous Christmas!
  5. What is your definition of ‘plenty’? At £90 it will do well to sell 100. We only sell about 5k season tickets at about 3x that price. You live in La-La land
  6. I must be watching a completely different game to most on here - In a back 3/5 he is never a “left centre back” in a million years in my opinion, it’s essentially a left back position most of the time and he’s incredibly slow, both in general and when turning (Norwich game was a prime example of this and that was in a back 4!) I think he personally is better suited to a proper CB position with help from LB, but even then I’m yet to be convinced I’d be concerned going forward anyway, we also had no centre back on the bench, if we persist with this formation then that’s an area we need to be in the market for in January (left sided)
  7. If I was to be negative about anything, which feels harsh after that performance, then I’d say I’m not fully convinced about McLoughlin, Gardner-Hickman or Morishita. Toth, Wharton, Alebiosu all immense. De Neve and Miller good, Montgomery putting in some very good cameos in the middle, Ohashi non-stop and Gudjohnson can find the net. If Baradji is a hit, Cantwell comes back in form and we can improve where we need in January (which we never do) then I’ll start to think we’ve got a team that can develop into something here.
  8. It probably wasn’t far off. Then feck all else otherwise.
  9. FA Cup under JDT, Szmodics brace to keep us up under Eustace and now the Iceman banging in a few under Ismael. Certainly a happy hunting ground for the Rovers
  10. Not sure how I feel about us ole ole -ing the Leicester passes at only 2-0 with 15+ mins left 😂 remember Birmingham and I’d imagine more
  11. I tell you what, I really like the look of Montgomery these last few appearances. The lad looks good on the ball
  12. He’s having an absolutely belting season. A cracking signing
  13. Agree - really does not seem like a CB suited to a back 3
  14. That was it, that was the chance. So so poor
  15. Don’t mind those changes, though I would have stuck with De Neve for a bit longer unless he’s injured.
  16. Leicester bench….probably a higher wage bill there than our whole squad. From memory they financially cheated the year they were promoted but the EFL did nothing as they went up. I’d imagine bad times are coming for them now.
  17. The lack of footballing ability is actually quite horrific - we can barely string a few passes together. I think that’s just the reality of stripping the squad to bits. Cant fault the effort of the lads though and occasionally we put a nice move together. Delighted to be winning but would have loved another when we were on top and their fans went against them. Wharton player of the half for me
  18. De Neve is having a great game as is Scotty Wharton - he seems to be stepping in first to every ball
  19. Cannot believe how slow Gudjohnson and McCloghlin are. The latter looks like he can barely move!
  20. Co-comm is some muppet. Since when was an offside goal ‘lady luck’ - it happens all the time, and regardless of touching it he was in front of Toth so how would you know he wouldn’t save it.
  21. We could have done with that one of those 3 recent seasons we flirted with the playoffs!
  22. I had a feeling this would happen. Announce 1 or 2 legends early on then struggle to find the rest of the team and rely on whoever is in Dunny's phone book. The whole day looks like a complete shambles, 2 games in 1 day on a pitch that has had 2 games called off recently, a 'legends team' with players from our League 1 campaign, a game against Eton despite no link to 150 league years at all, less than 2 weeks and no kit announced. The organisation of this pretty much sums up Rovers these days. Staff clearly too busy with shadow twitter accounts, allegedly.
  23. Are you Mercer in disguise….are you Mercerrrrrr in disguise
  24. Yeah my first thought, first time we’ve heard the crowd vocally expressing their thoughts and we go and come from behind to win! Hopefully those with their heads in the sand don’t start to blab about “just get behind the lads ffs”. We really needed that win - it was starting to look like we were getting cut adrift. 2 more tough games then we have 5 of the bottom 8/9 close together which will make or break the season.
