  1. Sigurdsson even broken sweat yet? Absolute luxury player and not a particularly good one at that
  2. What on earth was the non-league level Liverpool lad doing then. They’ll be targeting him until the end if they have any sense
  3. The ref has been atrocious. Missed so much a yard in front of him. Buckley one in the first half was shocking
  4. Just like to add they look worse than we used to passing it around the back. A few times their defence has had a free header and it’s gone straight to us. They're really not that good at back at all, if we can keep it 0-0 and keep the pressure on then we’ll get more chances Telalovic winner from the bench? 😂
  5. Moran and Buckley are playing brilliant. (Silly yellow card aside). Szmodics his usual self too. Well done John Eustace, well done to the 11 on the pitch, well done to the protestors and the Venkys Out chants. Let’s have another 45 minutes of that.
  6. Hopefully ends the same as that Championship fixture where we won 1-0 with 1 shot vs about 40 from Newcastle. Think it was Mulgrew
  7. Trying to think of some that might match it… Etuhu and Murphy? Lowe, Akpan and Bennett?
  8. Yeah I love American Football and have been to multiple NFL and College games (albeit perhaps not the stereotypical 'atmosphere stadiums'). But the atmosphere is miles away from proper football, it's all forced and artificial i.e. blasting music and speaker systems for the crowd to get loud for a 3rd down so it's just people screaming for 30 seconds. Give me a Football away end every day of the week. Large Stadium =/ Good Atmosphere. I see lots of other Sports doing this now....watched some Rugby recently and they were blasting out tunes between scrum resets. Cricket have done it for a while but at least that's a long and different format.
  9. It was so almost a cracking day out, the sun was shining on snake pass, eccy road spoons was full of blue and white and despite the result (and the Morton rolling around after a poke in the eye) it was so enjoyable to be in an away end with 6k Rovers fans feeling like we were finally moving forwards. We'll get to the new Wembley one day, hopefully once Venkys are gone as it'll be bitter-sweet seeing them no doubt reappear for a big one. (and hopefully not the Papa Johns Trophy!!)
  10. Yeah - when we were 3-1 up Do we know he picked the team? Looked to me like Johnson was in charge.
  11. Whilst I agree some-what, we’re not giving him Stoke are we? Appointed Friday, no training session and in the stand until about 3-0 or something. It’s 3 points from 4 games. And I think variance will catch up with the ‘we look more solid now’ mantra. Again, to reiterate, he could lose every game for the rest of the season and I’d still not blame him but blame the useless clowns stripping the club to pieces.
  12. 3 points from 4 games now under the new manager. I’m told we’re allegedly ‘moving in the right direction, towards mid-table’ - despite simple maths telling us that’s nonsense. The next 3 games are huge. Can’t barely see us getting a point after them.
  13. According to transfermarkt as it's probably the easiest way to look at it....note that it's in euros though €141.5m recouped €73.5m spent So they've netted €68m euro profit on transfer sales for reference and some grim reading... https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/blackburn-rovers/alletransfers/verein/164
  14. I guess they're good when the original sale is well under the true price, because it is based on profit. Prime example being Raya (or Adam Armstrong for Newcastle). We sold Raya for less than his value, so much so that we'll get more from the sell on % than the original fee. Selling Wharton for £22m, we're not going to get much given it's 15% of the profit Palace make.
  15. You sound like the players in their Waggott meeting - is that you Dom Hyam complaining about negativity? What you wrote was factually incorrect. I corrected you and your reply is 'wHaT aBOuT sOmE POsiTIviTy?' I'll be positive when there is something to be positive about. It wasn't a tricky game, they'd won 1 in 7 and not scored at home in 3. Basically have the same form over 10, 15, 20 games as we do. We had 2 shots in the whole match (one was Hyam from 50 yards), the worse of the two teams again, got away with a 0-0 draw, play like that all season and we're finishing rock bottom as variance events itself out and that match finishes in defeat more than it does victory.
  16. Eh? 1 week ago there was a 7 point gap (now worse at 6) AND we had a game in hand, so not sure how you’ve spun a positive there. We’ve move up 1 place in the league, thanks to Plymouth, but that paragraph is borderline delusional. Even if you mean 2 weeks ago, prior to Stoke, we’ve only increased the gap by 1 point, in the meantime all whilst playing 2 teams below us, and 1 practically level with us.
  17. It’s an extremely simplistic view you’re taking though, not looked at teams played, players available or anything, and taking a specific sample size. Fair enough, if people think this is the start of some sort of revitalised ‘hard to beat’ Blackburn Rovers they can. To me we’ve looked shite, but thankfully played Stoke and Cardiff who have similar form to our poor run under JDT. We lost in xG in 3 of the 4 (this helps with small sample sizes) and showed our usual weak under belly versus PNE, and Eustace wasn’t even picking the team or managing in our win. It’s absolutely not on Eustace though (yet), I’m not saying it is as it’s far too early for that. But if you play that type of football you absolutely have to get results, if not then it’s rock bottom, so let’s hope we do miraculously start grinding out some points. Personally, I’m not holding my breath
  18. I mean come on, your argument loses a bit of credit on that sentence. Some grim individual performances (which in fairness is your point), but we saw exactly that and far worse under every other manager, was it 7-0 against Fulham under Mowbray. Worst memories as a Rovers fan is over doing it I think. He took us as close to the playoffs as we’ve ever had under Venkys and further in the cups too, despite all the off-field turmoil at the same time. Anyway, I’m not particular against Eustace, it’s about as good an appointment as we could make. More just sick to death of how this club is being run, then you spend 2 hours watching pure Sunday league shite and it’s just the cherry on the top
  19. I honestly don’t think we looked hard to beat though, we lose that match to 85% of this division, we were as bad as Birmingham, it’s just Cardiff are even less clinical than them. Cardiff had 10 points from their last 15 matches, not scored a goal in their last 3 home matches, won 1 of their last 7 matches. They’re basically neck and neck with us in the form table across 10, 15, 20 games. Yet they still did more to win that match than us, a lot of recency bias to suggest we lose that 3-0 under JDT. We were on a shocking run under him, riddled by injuries yes, but he’d won 3 in a row against Cardiff including a 5-2 battering
  20. We better hope we’re on 45 or so points by the 10th March, as I can barely see a point after that looking at the fixtures.
