  1. Yes, what you said was utter tosh, as not only was it factually incorrect, it also made no sense.
  2. Very strange, youโ€™ll be blaming the ref next.
  3. Christ, imagine them giving โ‚ฌ10m to JDT or Eustace over the last few windows when weโ€™ve pulled in ยฃ35m+ (Wharton, Szmodics, Raya resale, Gallagher etc). Weโ€™re led by absolute morons
  4. Irony being most in Ewood would aim their anger at Eustace, Travis and co. Rather than those sat just above Jack Walkers old seat.
  5. Didnโ€™t he also sign Brittain, Szmodics and Tronstad? (albeit you hate the latter) - granted he signed some tosh as well but at least a few hits
  6. Probably would be more use to the squad than Wharton (eyes behind my fingers very time) or sick note Carter. But this is the whole point of loans to lower leagues - get the experience then make the step up (but heโ€™ll probably leave on a free or knock down price instead with our lot)
  7. Bristol City at home. Gueye has done it in one match and looked like a raffle ticket winner outside of that. Whereas Yuki has found the net a few times for us (which considering the dross behind him is pretty compelling)
  8. Alebiosu has looked good too. In reality we need to replace Brittain, Travis, Dolan and Batth - I donโ€™t think any other departures would/should get in our squad let alone our first 11 (Beck the exception but we replaced him last year). Question is whether Alebiosu, McLaughlin, Tavares, Baradji, Morishita are capable replacements for those 4 outgoings. A lot of that will depend on Baradji I guess, who we may not see for a while. Nice to see weโ€™re investing in a striker too, where we were clearly short last season and again so far this year. Personally, itโ€™s the manager Iโ€™m worried about. He has a pretty terrible record so far.
  9. Looking past the set 4 grammarโ€ฆweโ€™ve only signed 1 French lad and there wasnโ€™t a single French player in our whole squad today, so leave that shit out of it.
  10. Weโ€™re certainly going to need Baradji, Morishita and new Striker to hit the ground running as weโ€™ve got about 15 season goals in us in Kargbo, Hedges, Cantwell and Ohashi. Attacking options are dirt, nobody to put the ball in the net. Kargbo and Gueye are not footballers. Gambles that didnโ€™t work, we need to move onto the next ones and stop wasting more games with them
  11. โ€œInflation alone makes 15m now 16mโ€ then add a load of examples from 10+ years ago ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  12. Not sure how people are against this one really. Looks a solid deal at ยฃ2m (we got ยฃ1m for JRC and Buckley remember!) He scored 1 in 2 in the Danish league. Ipswich just spent ยฃ17.5m on a striker whose scored 1 in 4 in that league. Played in the Conference League, scored 9 goals for his country, who are hardly Brazil. Top scorer for Madrid youth team and made the first team squad for Champions League. His 5 goals last season for Gent came from only 16 starts (his minutes work out as 13 matches). If he banged in 20+ at Gent heโ€™d be going for ยฃ50m+ to a Newcastle type (theyโ€™re paying about ยฃ5m a goal for this Woltemade lad).
  13. Have I just seen Finn Azaz has been signed by Southampton for ยฃ15m, yes 15 million great british pounds, whilst Ipswich have signed a lad for ยฃ17.5m who has only played in the Danish league (worst record than Gudjohnsons lad there too). How much did we sell Adam Wharton for again?
  14. This one interests me more than the African or Dutch lad. 6ft2, 23 years old, playing in the top division in the country (and won the league), came through Madrid ranks (how much of that is nepotism who knows, but looks like he flourished there to be fair). Either way, it certainly feels like a good gamble. Born in England too so imagine no issues with qualifying as a signing. 5 goals last season from 16 starts (and 12 off the bench). 13 in 27 the season before in the Danish top division. Also 9 goals for his country, including 1 against the Scots the other month.
  15. Yes but I wouldn't call out the workplace, i'd call out the senior management.
  16. I find this a bit distasteful really (to us fans and the โ€˜realโ€™ part of the club). If youโ€™ve been there as long as she has, she surely knows what we as fans are going through, and also other long serving members of staff. So instead of that bitter little line at the end, which is against everything at the club (including us fans), actually call out the people that are making you feel that way. But of course, nobody who has left the club under Venkys/Anderson/Pasha has ever had the spine to actually do that
  17. Dack is the only one for me really since the end of the Big Sam era. He played the biggest part in us not rotting away in league 1 and was a joy to watch at times as well.
  18. Isn't a Skoda brain exactly what you want? Practical, sensible, safe. value for money I'd say Ferrari feet and Skoda brain would make a great footballer ๐Ÿ˜ (all tongue in cheek obviously)
  19. I'm not sure he's box-to-box per-se, how often is he busting a gut to the attacking box? He's a solid championship midfielder but with his limitations (he'd be a league above if he didn't have any). Most crucially, I could never really see him helping Rovers cross that 6th place, or 2nd place line - it wasn't uncommon for him to go missing in the latter stages of the season. Sam Morsy kept him out of the team at Ipswich, and I think that sort of backs-up Yeti's claim, he'd be more of a squad player for a team with ambition to get out of this league. (judging by Eustaces signings Derby are not that). I'd obviously much rather he be that squad player here at Rovers, alongside Trondstad, Tavares and Baradji, as firstly, two of these are unproven and secondly it's likely we'll have injury issues and drops in form at some stage.
  20. French 2nd division for the last 3 seasons. Surely weโ€™re not forking out ยฃ5m there. Heโ€™s one of the only players Iโ€™ve ever seen a YouTube highlight reel look distinctly unimpressive.
  21. Yeah I love that. I thought during the game there looked a real togetherness gelling in the group already too. Testament to the squad and the coaches to have that with such a high turnover of players this window already. Looks like Whitehead is really in there with the players which I like to see, it's always good when the players interact back with the coaches. (obviously a 3-0 scoreline helps massively here!)
