  1. I believe someone on this board stated this many days back. Could have another decent ‘in the know’-er on here.
  2. Absolutely horrendous from Gueye there. You’re a striker looking across the line…no brain at all
  3. If he ends up with a similar G/A record as Dolan I’d be more than happy. Frustrating at times yes, but solid Championship standard
  4. Yep you’ve got to enjoy days like today (hope we’re not going too early 😂). Whilst Hull are dire, we’re really not far off a very good team here I don’t think. A few more bodies and for once reinvest some of our incomings and we’d be no worse than 80% of this league. The lads look like they’ve got some good togetherness to be fair, despite all that talk about social media comments and the dressing room
  5. We need more of those cheeky ones instead 😁
  6. We look good at times with the ball, overall you have to be satisfied with that performance away from home in this league. Hull look very poor though, it’ll be a long struggle for them, and just shows overpaid Championship journeymen are usually best dodged (Giles, Palmer). It does all leave me a bit frustrated though, we look very close to being a very good team, we recoup a good £7m+ this summer and if we could just once spend it then I think we’d be well set up. We’re desperate for a proper striker / goal scorer.
  7. Recency bias 😄 Chaddy does it every year, us doom-mongers have a huge lead on the lad over the 15 years. Also one of those years we were almost relegated - hardly right to be optimistic. 1-1 draw over the 2 years so far I’d say
  8. Someone post a few dodgy sticks over to this address please: Shadow man, Ewood Park, The filthy, neglected stadium in Blackburn, BB2 4JF As Matty says you’d almost question it if it was your local non-league club / clubhouse. It’s the bloody Blues Bar in Ewood Park, have some pride you useless shower
  9. Starting to think you’re a plant now Chaddy.
  10. The difference is these teams have notoriously replaced with upgrades or got a shit load of money (Mbuemo / Cunha). We’re unique in that we either run contracts down and let players leave on a free, or sell for well under true value - then we replace them with some 4th division Germans or 2nd division Belgian lads who would struggle to make Chorleys 11.
  11. It’s just drip feed boycott currently though. They’ll be almost as many away fans as home fans tomorrow. It feels like it’s bubbling up a bit at the moment, though Travis is hardly elite, it’s the statement of your captain wanting out, and relentless club statements making us look amateur
  12. Aye yeah, Liverpool have had a right stinker there bringing in two quality full backs in Frimpong and Kerkez
  13. It should be nothing but a full boycott now - or at least a statement like Sheffield Wednesday the other day when they stayed in the turnstiles
  14. Yeah this is it 100% - the constant statements these days just shows how out of touch they are and how bad they are at their jobs. The one about Eustace just before he left was a classic - like you say they all read like a 6 year old having a tantrum
  15. I'd bet my last dollar that when the next yearly financial statements roll around we'll still have wages around ~£25m, a wage to turnover ratio of ~130% and a magical yearly loss of "£20m". Could have our under 5s as our starting 11 and the above wouldn't budge.
  16. He’s probably on £15k ish isn’t he. JDT said we had to save his wage as a high earner when he went to Ipswich.
  17. If we were a normal run club, then I’d have absolutely no qualms selling Travis at all, knowing that a normal club would reinvest that money properly. He is the epitome of the Rovers rubber dinghy boys, goes hiding in any crucial match, praised for being a ‘shithouse’ but lacking in the basics (see the goal on Saturday). People will say we can’t sell as he’s an academy lad (so was Jason Lowe) He’s a solid Championship midfielder, but he’s not dragging you over the line to promotion (he barely played at Ipswich). That said, the money just goes into the black hole so what on earth would be the point of selling him at all. We’ve already shown that Rudy, Suhail and co aren’t up to the task of replacing players properly. Given we’re looking like relegation fodder right now, I’d much rather keep hold of him!
  18. This squad is miles off it. Desperate for a striker and creativity yet we’ve not even had a sniff of that in the transfer window. Run by absolute clowns at every angle
  19. It’s depressing that either of these two would have any say in our transfer dealings. Mental set up at our club
  20. About 10 goals across the season in that 11. 8 defensive players and nobody to lead the line
  21. Agree, Travis is clearly off, but looked like he was running through quick sand at times. Hedges shouldn’t even be in our squad let alone starting, he just isn’t a footballer
  22. Grow up - he might as well have been as he was horrific out there - far from a captain. To think he usually only starts a season well and regresses - would hate to see how he performs in a few months time if that’s the case
  23. We signed players from a relegated Belgian team…..the Belgian league is the equivalent of the Championship, with a steeper regression as you go down it, so if you’re getting relegated from it, you’re probably league 1 level at best. Ditto signing Telalovic from the actual German 4th division, which is what, national league north level. Weirdos on social media love this shit as players are unknown, but anyone with half a brain cell can see this is risky, and has rarely paid off for us (Tronstad the exception that stands out) I said a while back throw enough shit and some will stick - well, I don’t think we’ve thrown enough shit, because this team looks utter dross. We haven’t improved in any areas we actually need to. Hedges and DeNeve as starting wingers, would that even be up to Bolton’s level in League 1?
  24. It’s pretty easy to do as well Bazza, you just have to put your hand in your pocket and reinvest some of the £40m you recoup over the last few years.
