  1. Comms said Tronstad pointed to groin or knee I think when signalling to come off. Really canโ€™t afford him to be out with Baradji also out and Tavares looking questionable
  2. Hopefully Baradji ends up being that replacement
  3. Canโ€™t help but feel weโ€™ll regret not burying a few more of these chances
  4. Riberio disappointing going forward too, attacks seem to stop with him with a bad delivery / pass. I think this game sums up how average the Championship is, these lads look as bad if not worse than us
  5. Tavares looks hopeless. Has to be goals in this, both defences look shakey at best
  6. yeah I tend to agree I think. In which case we'd probably set-up like this... Pickford James - ??? - Guehi - ??? Anderson or Wharton - Rice Saka - Bellingham - ??? Kane Wouldn't want a natural 10 shoe-horned onto the wing like you say, so probably Gordon / Madueke (although he's usually on the right) for that spot. Lewis-Skelly for LB and then either Stones / Konsa for CB depending on fitness and form. Hoping we don't see Henderson, Gallagher, Jones, Gomes in that CM spot now. Anderson had an impact, and Wharton is worth a few goes when fit. Those two can both play forward passes which the 'Rice foil' has always struggled to do historically.
  7. Yeah, perhaps a shift towards a format like the new champions league would benefit all (essentially nations league). Fixtures next week of Bayern v Chelsea, Liverpool v Athletico. Albeit, it wouldn't be good for the stat-padding international strikers! This was our toughest match on paper, and maybe that's why we looked so much better than against the likes of Andorra. Some proper strength in depth, and maybe this is the time we look for the best 'team' rather than the best 'individuals' - the likes of Anderson, Madueke, Rodgers looked very good.
  8. Pickford, James, Guehi, Rice, Bellingham, Saka, Kane likely all start if fully fit, so about 4 spots up for grabs. I did like the directness and pace that Gordon and Madueke brought, felt like a step away from boring Pep-Ball that hopefully stops getting adopted. Pickford James - ??? - Guehi - ??? Bellingham - Rice Saka - Palmer - ??? Kane Maybe we shouldn't shoe-horn Bellingham and Palmer together, but it's tempting to. Obviously I'd love to see Wharton make the position his own next to Rice, but without a competitive cap yet I'm not sure we can expect it too soon. This week I was unfortunate enough to go to the Andorra match rather than the Serbia one! ๐Ÿ˜
  9. Yeah, can't go 10 steps in Chorley without passing some micro-bar ๐Ÿ˜ wish it was like that when I was drinking there in my teens/20s! (granted you'd also pass a barbers and charity shop at the same time). (having said that, when we used to draw the large followings in the old days, they just stuffed themselves into Spoons). Like you say, I also noticed the club itself has started hosting a lot of away fans going to Rovers, PNE etc. They've had 1000 or so from Boro, Villa and some other clubs over the last year.
  10. Yep, a lot of away fans (coaches) tend to stop in Chorley beforehand for drinking then head straight to Ewood / Fernhurst. Very rare to see away fans sample the delights of Blackburn town centre.
  11. Who becomes our "Bradley Johnson / John Buckley False 9" when Ohashi and Gudjohnson get injured? Not sure I fancy rolling back to those comedy moments.
  12. As in โ€˜Player Loansโ€™ or โ€˜Bank Of India Loansโ€™ ?? ๐Ÿ˜‚ absolute made up job title for the pals
  13. Fuck sake, he signs his messages and mails off using โ€œbestโ€ - just when I thought he couldnโ€™t become any more of a danger
  14. Isn't that exactly what's happening in those two scenarios (1. halal as only option due to religious beliefs and 2. fish as only option due to religious beliefs) Surely choice is the answer, not pandering for one belief or another. Agree with the 2nd part though that major issues exist at the club, and this isn't particularly one of them.
  15. I feel a lot is going to fall on Morishita, Gudjohnson and Baradji, and I would have had some hope had we not shipped Hyam off last minute. Relying on McLoughlin (new), Carter and Wharton (crocks) and youth team players or full backs is a recipe for disaster defensively.
  16. Itโ€™s timing though. Selling an ever-present CB in the last hour with no replacement is just shocking management from the board - regardless on thoughts of Hyams ability / leadership
  17. Travis, Brittain, JRC, Leonard, Buckley, Dolan, Batth (English) and Hyam (Scottish). Weimann the only non-British sale from the squad.
  18. We canโ€™t even compete with a 2 year contract to a 29 year old. Madness
  19. Yeah this window just makes that look more and more like a stitch-up, if even possible. Weโ€™re treated like mugs
  20. I know its part of his gig and heโ€™s essentially a Rovers yes-man, but surely to fuck he ought to be the voice of the supporters and ask what the bloody thinking behind this one was.
  21. Gibson running the ship vs Suhail - like chalk and cheese. Good choice by Brittain.
  22. The others towed the line anyway - must have a WhatsApp group with a dress code โ€œcream chinos and no socks for the big interview ladsโ€
  23. Selling the leader of the rubber dinghy boys for almost ยฃ3m would be fine if we were a proper run club. Doing it with 1 hour left in the window, no ESC slots and nobody lined up just sums up the clowns in charge and how out of touch with football they really are
