Its funny watching the supporters forlorn faces on sky sports news. Look ever so worried dont they ? -
I was there. I was working at Whitehall at the time on a 5 week stint. Most frightening day out EVER after the game.

Just how ironic was it that a fine player like Diver Dogbreath is shouting down the microphone "its a disgrace, its an effing disgrace". Dogbreath, a fine player youmay be but in simple mans terms YOU ARE A CHEAT You cheated your own fans by feigning injury and then whining like a child losing its dummy when you were subbed. You cheated yourself. You cheated the club by diving and falling over every time a Barca player came near you. It is YOU that is the disgrace. It matters not that the ref was a clown in denying at least 2 blatant penalties, you missed the easiest chances in the two legs, one at the Nou Camp and one last night. There is NO conspiracy theory. Barca lost a man sent off when he shouldnt have been, Essien should have been red carded. PLUS after all that if your defence had cleared the ball properly Barca would never have had the chance to score. To see your pug ugly mush bellowing the spiteful abuse just made every football fan smile last night. Your childish and cheating antics COST YOUR CLUB, YOU and YOU ONLY. -

It may well be the type of club that he was at that may contribute to his problems. At City he was vaunted as the future England central midfield general. Being at City maybe cost him his will to win as a footballer and gave him his big head, hence City cashed in and he moved on. Newcastle United ? Need anyone say anymore. Its not the type of club you go to unless you can deal with pressures of in your face media/fans and a club that thinks its the biggest and best. Its not a place for egos. After his well publicised indiscretions he fell foul of the newcastle fishbowl. Maybe at a club like Blackburn Rovers he could flourish again. There is no doubting his talent given the right platform. He is an exquisite footballeer, we have seen his skills on display at City. He can score, he can tackle, he can create in fact apart form his height, he is very much the complete footballing midfielder. I just wonder though if any club or manager can curb the demons he so clearly has within his psychological make up. -

Come on Hughsey, if anyone thought Torres was a good goal at Liverpoo then this one by Clownaldo is magnificent -
Owens coaches, back window went through on this one as we pulled away to the usual Lancs v Yorks rivalry. I remember that underpass Ozz, if you got through without a kicking you had "survived" Dirty Leeds
-
Recall this game very well, it was poor beyond belief and the cock up between Garns and Thommo was laughable as the game was bad. Nice return to memoirs Ozz, keep em coming.

Well folks, while some of you were enjoying the delightful company of a certain Mr Jansen at T'Hordens, I was with Mrs Roverite watching SIR PAUL WELLER aka MODFATHER at The M.E.N. last night. All I can say is that MR Weller was his usual self, profoundly professional music wise, with a little bit of his simpleton side coming out with his potential political statements in he background of his show. His music continues to to have the wow factor and in 28 years since I first set eyes on a band called The Jam live, he continues to set the highest of musical standards. A classic concert -
I wasnt too impressed withe the latest Bond offering. What makes it lacklustre is the missing gadgets and Bondlike humour and whats is all that about with only 1 woman dying ???

[Archived] Mark Hughes - Good Choice ?
1864roverite replied to Ste B's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Hughes has some problems coming his way cashflow wise. Frankies wife got a guilty verdict with 3 yrs imprisonment yesterday (SUBJECT TO APPEAL) if she subsequently loses this appeal then Frankie will almost cetainly find himself getting a similar verdict on one of 16 charges laid against him. Looks like his stash is going to remain frozen like City's dreams -

Looks like Garner is joining Forest as well, quite handy really because Rovers do still retain an interest in Garner with a sell on clause believed to be 20%. -

£3.00 entry into the Blackburn End !!! -
Spoke to John Millar last night in Glasgow, he was entertaining in the Radisson in the City as part of a conference. Like good old Englishmen abroad, we took the freebies and skedaddled without being found out !! He was doing some talk on fitness and nutrition.
