  1. Kamy, I dont think the people questionning MH are talking with any sense at all, they are making excuses for their lack of knowledge about Rovers and football. In any case, their a minority, a bit like burnley fans
  2. if there is a seriously big bid on the table for him, sell him now.
  3. I think we can safely say he is leaving in January, the only thing is Roves need to tie up the transfer asap and before he knobs of for the ANC :!:
  4. it would appear that Rovers current form has affected some our members brains !!! :!:
  5. Having not recovered from the direst of England performances I have looked to see if my 37yrs of football wisdom could have matched mclaren the muppet team selection of Wednesday and brought about a positive result. I would have picked the following 11 goalkeeper - Robinson, simply for big match experience right back - Phil Neville ( aghast you say, but in the current climate of players he has experience and can at least defend) left back - our own Warnock. can run, tackle, head and pass the ball. Definately not afraid to tackle or go for the ball. centre back - Campbell - only experienced player available centre back - Stephen Taylor - again, a no thrills player for the U21's but one who puts in plenty of effort. midfield - Gerrard,Bentley,Cole and Barry. creativity and defensive together. forwards - Crouch and Defoe employ a rigid 4-4-2 and hey presto you get a draw at least. On the bench Beckham, SWP, Dawson, Bent, James, Bridge, Reo Coker Move over mclaren
  6. For me on the outside, if I was a taff I would be destroyed at losing to Cyprus not to mention embarassed. I would just love to read the press should San Marino exact a win on Wednesday. Oh the joy of reading the spoilt welsh taffy tit as he tried to explain that one !!!
  7. what a fantastic read Ozz and os so many memories flooding back. 1984 saw my second year of service in HM Royal Navy so the Rovers games were a bit hit and miss for me due to me travelling the globe. This season saw me only get to 4 home games and maybe 3 away games. Oxford away when we lost 2-1 with George Warren (Ozz you remember him he married Alice Leonard) Brighton home Boro away Charlton home Pompy away and then Sheff United at home before a 9 month tour of The West Indies. Pompy away was the game for me, a 2-2 draw and right good old ruck in the mucky duck pub with some nobhead southerns before a night in Joannas in Southsea ! The Wheelton Lads had a fantastic night ! Hope to read more Ozz
  8. I think Hughes deals with his players as professional as he can. the player will either react positively or negatively. if they perform then they excel if they dont they leave. Dunny has excelled with his performances in the last 3 gmaes, he is fitter no doubt about that. Rovers backroom team have worked fantastically well to mould a spirit other clubs can only dream of. The comments of McCarthy echo that.
  9. I will not nor will I ever pay that amount to get in the most crappest stadium in the Premiership. BOYCOTT IT and save your money.
  10. Thanks Jack, your never far from the minds of ALL Rovers supporters. Your spirit lives on
  11. Frankly dear, I dont give a damn ! The Rovers are playing and I am going to the match. You can stay sat glued to the bog until I come back, after all, its your own fault !

  12. Maybe one could play the xylophone, another the triangle and the third muppet playing the tambourine ...only a suggestion like
  13. they should be hung drawn and quartered at home to Arsenal then dragged through the streets to Burnley where they can be dumped
  14. I think it exemplifies the current standing of how Rovers appear to see themselves in the Premiership with giving him a 5 year deal, it certainly ensures a decent sized fee should anyone entertain trying to take him away from Ewood. Great news that The Admiral is signed up.
  15. I just cannot see Rovers losing out with McCarthy, whatever happens. It is gonna take big big money to buy him probably more than we would have to shell out for Bellamy. Another thing he should learn to keep his gob shut on tv !
  16. benben, I think you need to understand the way our court system lets people down, especially victims and their families. Hughes should in all reality have been jailed for life. Any reasonable person would expect and accept that sort of punishment as just. In USA and other countries, you can bet without a shadow of doubt that Hughes would not have spent less than 25 yrs in jail. Here in good old UK, we have do gooders and the PC brigade who fight for prisoners rights, no matter what the crime they committ. The authorities accept them and bow down to their every whim, I have witnessed unbelievable decisions in how the courts accept stories and excuses from the accused without a flicker of an eye, whereas when a witness or aggrieved turn up late they are heavily criticised or their cases thrown out ! Hughes gets lucky twice over. He was rich before he went inside and he will earn a considerable amount of money when he comes out of jail, more than the avergae job even with Oldham. The poor victims family just get more suffering as they will no doubt see his name in the media, see his spotted gingernutted face in the papers and tv and will get reminded of the experiences they suffered as they strove to get justice for their decimated family. This countries laws SUCK.
  17. Does it really matter that situation ? Rovers hold the ace card in that the player is on a contract and can hold on to what they have. The plusses for them are that they can hold Chelsea or anyone ot the price they want or as near as dam it, they can also slam Benni in the reserves, make his life uncomfortable and fine him if he decides he aint playing as he then does not fulfill his side of the contract. Chelsea have signed Pizarro, added to the young Egyptian and the dogba, they still have chevy chase so that for me fulfills the 4 strikers they need. J Cole can also play up front as can Robben. I just dont see Chelsea coming in for Benni with that lot up front unless of course someone is leaving. In relation to MGP and the clubs that are allegedly linked with him, the options have been narrowed down massively IMO. United will not come near him having laid out the best part of 45 Million, Chelsea dont want him neither do Arsenal, Liverpools standards will be much higher signing wise so I rule them out. That for me would leave just Spuds as a possible better option than Rovers, and really, are they such a better option ? Again I dont think so, we match them on the pitch and our ambitions are on the same lines. They have the bigger fan base and more money attractiveness and are of course a London club. They may be able to provide a "bigger stage" but he would then have to get used to squad rotation and would play at best 50% of their games. So, now then to the big club wannabees, Newcastle, Villa and Boro. Not one are bigger than Rovers on the playing field and not one of these trio will finish higher than Rovers next season, none are in europe and ALL of them hanker of being run like BRFC. I cant see any Rovers first team player going to any club like this UNLESS they pay obviously stupid money. I see Rovers adding to the quality of the players we already have and finally ridding themselves of the hangers on in Gray and Todd. The future is Blue and White
  18. Oh dear, looks like Benni Mac has failed to turn up for the South African team for Saturdays International according to the south africa press.
  19. the egg on the face bit comes when his beloved Jose does not come in for him as he is looking elsewhere !! he may pine for chelski but will they pine for him ??
  20. In FA Cup final week, with Drogba being unsettled, Chevy chase being told he can leave, massive injury problems for cfc, the goalie hilario being touted as a reserve striker and Juse getting nicked over a missing dog it sounds to me that its comedy week in London ! Benni is touting himself like a Preston prostitute no matter which way you look at it. For me, Chelsea will be looking at a far better option tha Benni could give, He is probably not on their shopping list. At Chelsea there is more uncertainty than at good old turd moor, noone knows whats going on. Benni just might be wearing some egg on is face in the summer. Anyhow, its holiday season next so stop gettign yourselves worried, its 8 weeks until we really need to start biting fingernails !
  21. McLaren is only doing one thing for English football HE IS TURNING FANS AWAY FROM THE GAME
  22. Whilst we are on the topic of Benni next season is the African Nations Cp for 6 weeks so should Benni be called back into the fold we will lose him for at least 4 weeks maybe 8 in total, we will lose the Axe as well as Samba and if Nonda is still with us him as well. That would not help our cause one little bit
  23. Am interested, anyone know the seller
  24. Information regarding wham players. They are not allowed to give interviews to SKY or any broadcasters without the express permission of their manager. Furthermore, they are not allowed to be asked questions as to whether or not they will be remaining at the club should the club get relegated. Any such q's are taboo within wham as they wish to promote a positive image. Also, old egghead has stopped any broadcaster from interviewng him or any other board members until relegation is confirmed or otherwise.
  25. Nonda seems to becoming a wanted player, now Fulham are interested in him as well as Pompy.
