The point I am making is give them a go and see how they progress. There are players who can and will make impacts either by their skills and talent or simply being allowed to play their game alongside the team game plan. If they are good enough they will progress, if they excel they will go for huge money allowing the club to progress off the park whilst also allowing an attraction to BRFC to other potential stars of the future. We have sold players before they are allowed to excel in our colours there are those in the club right now who could move the club forwards but they need to be given a chance

Both Rooney and Owen were good enough as teenagers to make instant impacts in premiership teams there is no reason why young Vale cannot do the same he has to be allowed to flourish if he is good enough he will reuse to the very top. Give him a go as well as the likes of as Butterworth and Brennan and see how they do !

The losses they have with Rovers are a drop in the ocean! Slipping £20m into the club is not a mammoth task it’s allowing the club to operate properly that seems to be the problem

I am pretty sure that no matter your view on venkys they will be putting a plan in place, COVID has affected all business around the world including their own. There will be financial plans for all of their business that will be a reaction to the pandemic and one of those businesses will be BRFC. I don’t buy into Rover facing financial ruin, they won’t embarrass themselves with failure. If anything, it might convince them to sell and even today Rovers remain an attractive club to buy for a small price, venkys would have to take their debts with them, that is the reality. I think we should all just sit back and wait, it’s not just Rovers that are affected. PL clubs will be in dire straits knowing tv money is being lessened as will the clubs who came down, they will all be affected hence Bournemouth having a fire sale. Richard, at no point did I question your post or views. In fact I probably agree with it, well most of it anyway. I wouldn’t expect TM to come out and publicly announce he knows his budget I think it’s a bit of an odd suggestion to suggest or expect him to. On the commercial side BrfC have always been incompetent even when we had the glory days of Premiership football. It is something that just cannot be gotten a grip of which is sad. The point about wheeling and dealing is even more of a relevance in this era due to cash flow issues and warnock aside, in the Championship there are a lot of managers who have little or no experience of the kind of dealing that will be required for this season and probably next season as well.

I think the stakes caused by the pandemic have changed the face of football outside of the Premiership forever. There are so many factors, cash flow issues, uncertainties of crowds, no season tickets and no shirts on sale. TM is never going to reveal his hand and the cards he holds. All managers in our league will have to earn their corn by wheeling and dealing. Money buys are not going to be standard procedure whereas loans and freebies are. Even the big 3 who come down will be hamstrung by finance issues. i am pretty certain Rovers will have their plans I do think it will take time to execute those plans.

Think Brentford will suffer wholesale dismantling of their team for failure to get promotion. Unless you are premier league then the whole face of football transfers and money has changed forever. The days of huge wages are over the days of asking big fees for overrated players are over.
