  1. I thought the referee did Ok. I think Smith should of gone because he jumped in with intent to hurt savage. The ref also gave some frustrating decisions like the booking for Dickov – but overall he let the game go on and didn’t stop it for too many little things. Infact if we have the same refereeing in the 2nd leg then maybe rovers will get a little stuck into them. I also think it showed how much we have improved by the side that Ferguson put out – I think he knew only too well that if he put a few kids out then we may well of put the tie beyond them. I thought we did well because in the 2nd half were well below our best and I thought on the night; 3 people had an off night – Tugay, Kuqi & Bentley. In the 2nd leg I would prefer somebody else on the right as I haven’t been too impressed with Bentley so far. Except for the game at Bolton & maybe in parts of the 1st half last night I don’t really think he has done too much. The ban for Bellamy @ Newcastle isn’t a bad thing either – Gives him 11 days rest between Bolton & United away so that should work in his favour. Also between now and the next game we face Bolton & Newcastle where as United face Man City – Burton & then Liverpool on the Sunday – so it gives us an extra day rest and also they face a really tough game. Rovers to the final! Keep the faith!!
  2. Why is the club only open till that time yet against pompey it was open up till kick off?
  3. I should imagine at least 1000 tickets will sell on the night - lately there always appears to be plenty queing up prior to the games.
  4. How about you swipe it there and then it has a touch screen panel which asks you what area? You then select the area and it tells you what's available and you can then accept that seat or select another are and then it prints out a slip to prove your seat number etc?
  5. Id prefer a team of reserves and a thumping win for rovers! Then in second leg let them play their full side and we will beat them too!!
  6. 2-0 Rovers Fergie said - "We included some of the first team squad when we went to Birmingham to ensure we got through and hopefully we can do the same again." Now if he gives us the same team that started that game then I would be very very happy.
  7. POINT 2 Is an important point for me and quiet a few other - please can you add this?? let me know scotty 1 - Ideas to boost sales – * Buy 3 adult tickets, get another free? Can we create our own categories for tickets? If so, there should be 3 groups: Category A – Top 6 clubs from previous season (6) Category B – 7th – 14th from previous season (8) Category C – 15th – Newly promoted (6) 2 - Issue that needs addressing Season tickets for Young Adults (I too fall in this category, for this last season anyway) 16-21?? This good enough. I think there should be two categories here. 16-19 – Students (with proof of student card) 19 – 24 – Young Adults (with proof by providing birth certificate) I know quiet a few people who have season tickets this year that are turning 22 and next season wont be eligible for the Young adult ticket next season. Current price @ 21 in Blackburn end = £225 Price @ 22 in Blackburn end = £410 So if the price’s stay the same il be expected to pay an extra £185. That is almost double what I pay now! Now I know there is a direct debit scheme, that’s good and I understand that the club have to define adult at some point, but @ 21 some people are only just leaving university or college and can only be in part time work. Yes people could move from the Blackburn end to the outer areas of say the CIS stand but that’s not what people want to do and most people are not willing to do this. Now im probably daft enough to pay the extra as iv been a season ticket holder for 10 years and not in part time work but I know a lot of people who are not going to pay that extra and IF the club fail to address it then they are going to lose more season ticket holders. 3 – With regards to an easier way of paying? How about a rovers ‘store’ card? Where all your ticket purchases go onto your account and you pay x amount of the balance each month – exactly like a store card & you receive a small amount of interest on top of any outstanding purchase that is say 2 months old??
  8. Id rather he went PNE than bolton thats for sure!
  9. Bring as many as they like - either either way - we will win
  10. Any update Lee?
  11. How do you know they have already gone??
  12. Not the worst draw. I can see Liverpool and Arsenal both failing to get through this round so a good chance for rovers i feel. 3-1 to rovers
  13. Jansen wont play as it would cup tie him. Im sure he has probably already left the club - however the official announcement is just delayed
  14. Looking at United's pricing on their site. £31 sounds right. Il be there
  15. Id like to see Sergio Peter, Gresko, & Thompson all given starts
  16. Phoned up yesterday for my tickets for QPR & Man United. Im a young adult ticket holder. QPR seats had gone - so i have to sit elsewhere Man United seats hadnt - so i get my seats. Now thats unusual! Whats wierd though is that QPR ticket cost me £12 while Man United cost me £10 - How does that work!!
  17. According to thier site - around 2000 tickets sold to QPR fans so far!
  18. Page page headline in LET = Farewell Matt Basically they agreed yesterday to terminate his contract, however it will be made formal next tuesday. Good bye, thanks for the memories. Lets move on now!
  19. I can just imagine Big Sam saving Matt - like he did with Davies, however i think that if Souness gets sacked soon then Big Sam will be off there
  20. As far as rovers were concerned it was fine to play on. When a drop in temperature occured between 5 - 6 they had a pitch inspection, just after 6. I think the club did pretty much all they could in the circumstances
  21. Depends if you have a TV screen in your car with freeview wired up. Or skysports on your phone. Available pretty much anywhere. It was also on BBC radio & radio lancashire
  22. Pompey @ home - £1 for a Kid
  23. Only a few hundred left according to the official site. Snap them up Rovers fans!
  24. What's all this rubbish about people phoned an hour before? So what, At 5.15 the game WAS still ON. at 6.15 it was off. The referee didnt check the pitch until 6pm - Rovers cant communicate anything until his decision has been made. It was all over sky sports, which has a huge audiance - what else do you want them to do? Phone each person individually?? Dont be daft!
