John Williams is doing a great job and I believe he will improve our club over time. The crap about not liking Souness is utter drivel as until a few months ago most fans were fine with him. He has now gone, has av the backroom team. We now how a much better set up, with what I would call a better squad, than when Souness 1st took over. A little bit of direction and better tactics and you will see a massive improvement in the players we already have. You will then see us move further up the league and therefore see some more fans come back. The fact is: If you don’t win trophies, the supporters stay away. Success brings supporters back.

Very Impressed with Jay at the weekend. Hopefully he will get a chance against Bournemouth

I think this game has come at perfect timing for us. It gives Mark Hughes and his team abit more time to get there ideas across and also to try new things out as the opposition isnt in the same class as we are used to each week. I would like to see gally and Jay Bothroyd both given a run out. I would also like to see him try Nissa and Amo in the centre and also possibly look at letting Jay McEveley have a go at left back.

There were rumours that we recieved around the same as what we have had to pay for Sparky in comp so its not going to make any difference to our transfer kitty. However we have reduced our wages considerably. Im sure Sparky is on less than Souness was too.

Agree totally. I think we have signed some good additions this summer and the team we have now is probably better than last season, except maybe Andy Cole.

No but it usually works. For instance if we sign a norweign we usually get a few more Norwegian fans. Everton signed the two chinese lads and got big intrest from China too, now they are sponsered by a chinese company.

I cannot believe how negative people are being on here about our current squad of players. We have one of the best keepers in the league, decent full backs, decent centre backs, a good midfield and a good strike force. They simply need guidance and tactics. Souness played players wherever he felt like, depending on which side of bed he had got out of that day. His tactics and selections were poor. So we have had a poor start! Where we that poor against Arsenal in the 1st half or even against united?? We matched Arsenal for 45 minutes and we almost beat Man United. We were robbed of a point at Southampton too. The rovers squad is by far better than some of the teams in the premier league and with decent tactics and confidence they will be a good side again. Stop all this negative bullsh*t on here. There is no need for it. If we are still in the same position after 10 games then I will believe you, but I will offer anybody on this message board a straight £100 bet that we will be out of the bottom 3 by the time we play Chelsea. All this negative talk is boll*cks.

The squad is good enough to stay up and we are only 5 games into the season. Im sorry but if we were to get relegated then Hughes would have to take some of the blame. Anyway that wont happen.

If you are seriously planning hanging a banner down, then you will need to do it where no sponsor board is. Otherwise the stewards wont allow it. Also it will not be allowed to cover and of the window of the boxes.

For gods sake the season is still young. We are only 8 points off 3rd. We have no reason not to finish in the top half

In todays paper Hughes says that Alex Ferguson told him to take the job. He also says that we cannot expect to finish in the top tier, however we need to be the top of the 2nd tier. What would you class as the 2nd tier? 5th and lower?

I really hope we can get 'Steddy Eddie' (Eddie Niedzwiecki from Arsenal) as I think that he would do wonders to help Hughes, to help imprve the defence. If we could improve that in january then i would be very happy. As for money, he obviously has some available and to be fair i suspect it will be a decent amount. All new managers are always given a decent transfer kitty to start off with
