[Archived] Charlton Athletic 1 0 Rovers
Hughesy replied to den's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
My view on last nights game. Big Brad – Didn’t have too much to do. Except for the goal he dominated his goal area and never looked like being beaten again Centre Defence – Did ok, a few dodgy lapses in concentration but not a bad game. Full backs – Neill at fault for not marking on the goal. However he linked up well with Emerton at times. Gray, was good but I felt that he looked very tired last night. Emerton – Star man on the night. That’s 4 good performances in a row. Keep up the work Ferguson & Flitty – Ok in the middle, however Flitcroft should of bagged at least 2, if not 3. Ferguson didn’t boss the midfield as much as he would of liked im sure. I think a combination of Ferguson and Douglas would be better in the middle as I feel that Tugs and Flitty are no longer premiership standard players Jansen – Worked hard and the games will do his confidence a great deal. Would of preferred to see him up front, but Hughes is the boss Dickov – Lots of hard work as always. Held the ball up well, however I feel he doesn’t release the ball early enough sometimes. Stead – Lots of running but nothing to show for it. Seriously lacking in confidence. Subs – Bothroyd – Lively again, surely he has to be given longer in a game like this. Tugay – Nothing special, loses the ball too easy and doesn’t throw himself into tackles. Overall I think we bossed the game but there was no killer instinct. We need a creative player and a genuine goal scorer, along with a solid centre back. -
So what can you get on DC++? is it just music or can anything be downloaded from here? is it easy to use?
-
Is it breaking copyright? I thought there were now official download charts. Are these download sites not free?
-
Now that there are download charts. Where can you download all the music for free?

[Archived] Rovers For Sale?

Never know. It could work in our favour as it could alert people who have good financial backing that there is an opportunity there if interested. -

JW says no talks have taken place, however he said the club would look seriously at any future opportunities for fresh capital. -

Expect a big improvement so im going for 3-1 to us -
Spot on, Emerton was exceptional last night. The 6\10 mark in the LET is nothing short of disgraceful. I agree with that totally and its about time people started appreciating Emerton. The lad has had alot of stick on the Message board over the past months, however i feel in the last 3 games he has been our most consistent performer. I just wonder if dickov was playing last night, what difference he would of made. He would of got the whole team going i think
-
Why???? He played last night, and was bloody awful at best against Bouremouth! He had one good game last season against Man City. Every other time he's played he's been poor. He is simply not good enough! Like i said, he hasnt been given a spell in the team. When was the last time he started and finished say 6 games in a row for the 1st team? What utter rubbish! This is a professional football club not a socialistic gathering! If you play well you play, if you play crap you dont, simple as that! Wake up and smell the coffee Hughesy! How often do you see players come out from the cold, get thrown into the team and play exceptional? Not very often! It takes a few games to fit in again

Yeah but look at the defenders and we all know they have talent its just that they don’t show it week in week out. Amo – Came back in the side toward the end of last season and made a big impact. Also made a difference against pompey. The guy is huge and has a presence about him Neill – Played very well in his 1st season n half at ewood but has dipped in confidence ever since. Gresko – Again, when on loan and playing for a contract he was class. Now he has the contract he doesn’t seem to be putting the same effort in. Johanson – Never been given a decent run in the side of late so you van expect mistakes. The lad should be given a chance
-
Well that Eddie fella from Arsenal we have got is supposed to be very good at sorting out the defence so lets hope he works out the problems in time for next monday

This isnt all bad news!! Ok it is bad and we lost to Bournemouth of all people buy hey its football. Every few Years rovers bow out of one of the competitions to a low team. Last time being Stockport. And yes the attendance was shocking, but hey its only a league cup game. (That’s what the likes of Man U say isn’t it?) Anyway I think there are some positives to take from last night. 1 – Hughes is now well aware how poor our defence can be and is going to have to look to find the right combination of defenders 2 – I think the performance of Emerton and Pedersen will help boost their confidence. I have been impressed with the recent improvement shown by emerton. 3 – Gallagher took his chance with a goal and will now also be in Hughes’ mind for future. 4 – Its now clearly obvious after his penalty that John Stead is seriously lacking in confidence. 5 – We will now go on to win the FA Cup.

Its also in the papers. Looks like Mr Souness is already making friends Im sure Robert will be happy with being dropped too. -
Asians love playing football and also watching football. Therefore why don’t rovers target the Asian communities in the football training scheme that they usually run over the school holidays. They should run a scheme where the coaches or even youth team players go down and train younger people to play football. They could target many different areas like Bastwell, Audley, Bank top etc and maybe that would interest more of them into Blackburn Rovers. The players could also visit more asian schools. Surely they would only appreciate the club more if they were trained by the staff at BRFC. Another way to attract them could be to make it more equal at ewood. Let the kiosks sell Asians foods aswell as your chips, hotdogs etc. I do not believe that Rovers do enough to try and seriously target the Ethnic Minority community. Around 45% of the Blackburn with Darwen community is not white so therefore they should really have a go at trying to get more from the Asian communities.

Rovers should put buses on for their supporters clubs in the south, north, ireland etc and get them coming on a regular basis -
[Archived] Whats Happened To Gally?
Hughesy replied to benhben's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
i saw jemal at the dallas cup shortly after i registered at these forums, and he did a lot to impress me. he really does seem to have all kinds of speed... but in the game i saw, he was maybe TOO fast he went offside like 3-4 times, because he completely outran the rest of the game. lol. Jemal Johnson has been impressing in reserves. Maybe we should give the lad a chance -
