  1. Past hour
  2. How can you attempt to play with wingers if you haven't got any?
  3. Its says hospitality all sold out for the Wrexham game
  4. or an Alebiosu? coin flip, it could be either
  5. Sounds like another De Neve to me.
  6. I’m toying with trying Hedges up front instead of Henriksson. He can’t possibly be worse. Pickering can play instead in Hedges old position.
  7. Really? I thought so (though obviously the majority including me were not persuaded) -perhaps plenty was the wrong word but half a dozen persistent voices saying that they were excited by all the changes. I remember arguing with them 🙂
  8. In fairness, whichever youngster we sign for right wing back over will be first choice next season when Alebiosu is sold, and in the interim 6 months will be earning more than they would in a whatever European minor division we pluck them from
  9. The story is we made a bid and its been rejected. I watched his goal on Boxing day and Its a good finish. What happens if Reyes Clearly signs and plays very well for us, will you still moan then?
  10. So we should sign a right wing back to come and play a few games for us until Alebiosu returns from Africa ? I can’t see many decent players jumping at that.
  11. 15 years on and the next generation is increasingly important. I have absolutely no sense of how the Rao offspring view the Rovers.
  12. Exactly. It should either be loan him out to play regularly, or keep here with a view to competing for a more natural role. If we did loan him out, it shouldnt be interpreted as a lack of faith in him or victimising an academy graduate. Either step is with a view of at some stage having him playing in his natural position for this football club. He has done himself proud as emergency cover. But in the last 3 games, Alebiosu has been missed, as you would expect. Lets not try and re train Litherland purely to avoid just signing an actual right wing back and allowing us to build up Litherland in his actual position.
  13. He has shown his worth in that role recently and I think we should develop him here as right wing back/centre back role.
  14. Can you boys just get a room! The sexual tension is killing us!!
  15. Doesnt mean that he will be signing here. He also described Rudy Gestede as a "top spy." As opposed to doing the normal thing and signing an actual player for the position we need. Logic rarely applies at this football club. And people like you seem to try and justify having loads of players in positions they are not natural in. Apparently me contesting this is "making excuses."
  16. terrible idea, Whilst we were at it, we may as well retrain Gueye as a deep laying midfielder & De Neve as a goalkeeper
  17. the way he played against Millwall in his first game, he slotted in and you didn't notice that Alebiosu wasn't available. His positional was good and we clearly worked all week on his playing there. I think we could develop him for the rest of the season as right wing back/right centre back right now and next season. If we are staying back 3 formation team for longer than this season then lets develop him here.
  18. I did point out in DM's recently that Balaji could be the main problem. Madame and third wheel might have an active desire to sell with him being the one preventing it. Back when there was a link to Qatari ownership in 2011 it was rumoured Balaji was the only thing blocking it. Of course at the time I attempted to instigate a mass protest and got no help in return. Also it's been said that Balaji might want his son to take over. Apparently some people have spoken to him and said he came across as arrogant. So I guess you can rule out that "Walker family in reverse" scenario. Not that any potential saviour so to speak would necessarily be on Jack's level. They wouldn't have to be as it's not that hard to improve such low standards.
  19. In the 150th celebration planning meetings (😂😂😂) there was initially loads of talk about a series of murals around the town. There was a lot of positivity from fans, Jamie Holman, Waggott, and the Community Trust. Loads of locations were discussed and some gable ends offered. Phil Reilly put his usual dampener on things a bit, but it seemed like it would genuinely happen. By the time of the last meeting it had been downgraded to one mural on the side of the Watson Ramsbottom building in town. Yasir was very pleased with himself for securing the services of whoever did the Bielsa mural in Leeds. I asked, not unreasonably I don’t think, what the subject of the mural would be. I was condescendingly told that “we can’t interfere with the artistic process, it’s up to them”. Anyway, to the surprise of nobody, absolutely nothing has come of it.
  20. Perfectly would be how Alebiosu came in when Brittain departed, Litherland has done well, but to say he has slotted in perfectly is hyperbolic If we were to develop him as Millers competition/understudy, then yes, by all means develop him here. But the impending recall of O'Riordan suggests if he remains here for the rest of the season, he is going to be used either as a square peg in a round hole, or not at all. In which case, both he and Rovers would benefit more from him going on loan to a club who play with a back 3 and him playing week in, week out as a right sided centre back
  21. That has to be a bot. It reads like it was written by someone who doesn't speak English as a first language and clearly doesn't know anything about football. What time UK was ot posted?
  22. Arthur Connolly - Sweet Soul Music
  23. Fair play, I stand corrected on that He did great at right wing back and he slotted perfectly into that role, He understand that role clearly just by performances. He could have a 2 goals against Millwall. Forget the loan for me, keep him here and lets develop him here. Haha, your negative comments about young players is constant with you, you never want to allow them to develop and always very quick to mention their flaws instead of positives I suggested either Pickering or Ribeiro with the other one, staying and rotating with Hedges and if one is injured Powell can back that up. just more excuses again and again to suit your overall viewpoint
