I agree, while Ismael remains in the dugout, we're heading for league 1, his tactics are the worst in the championship. -

End of the day we either carry on with this slow, but ever continuing, slide into the lower divisions (with a rotted infrastructure to match) or we get a new owner, who, yes, may be Chansari-esque, or they may grab this club by its bootstraps and give it a go. This isn’t 2010, the game has grown exponentially since and potential owners are falling over themselves to get involved (particularly for Championship clubs - so of course this lot are doing all they can to torpedo that sweet spot in the football pyramid). *obviously it’s all moot as they’ve no intention of selling and it’s scenario 1. -

DENYING A GOAL OR AN OBVIOUS GOAL-SCORING OPPORTUNITY (DOGSO) Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offender is cautioned if the offence was an attempt to play the ball or a challenge for the ball; in all other circumstances (e.g. holding, pulling, pushing, no possibility to play the ball etc.), the offending player must be sent off. https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/lawsandrules/laws/football-11-11/law-12---fouls-and-misconduct edit - note the post I was talking about which you quoted was the Cashin incident. The one on Ohashi is a red. -

As has been said more than once, the other "penalty " doesn't happen if he does his job properly and gives Rovers the penalty and sends Bartlett off for not attempting to play the ball. Of course it was a major decision, it doesn't excuse the rest of the dross but it was. -

We are absolutely awful, poor beyond words. I take your point though, not a decent team in this league, including Coventry and Ipswich. -

They looked a league above us. We know it’s because we are poor, but had it not been for Toth they could have scored 5 and that’s without seemingly getting out of first gear. I’m not sure how you can watch that and think Ipswich don’t deserve to be in the top 6. The only danger to them was Waltons kicking. -

It was a penalty and a red card, if it went to var, that would be the outcome. -

Obviously a lot of poor performances today. As well as Cashin, I thought The Moose was particularly dreadful today. -

There's no rational reason to get rid of Big Val. He's doing a belting job. Lots of promising signs. -

But if he gives penalty, that player is potentially sent off (not certain of where league are with double jeopardy these days). I think you totally miss my point though - just saying as crap as we were we could have got a result (no matter deserved or not). My point was mainly how crap the Championship is that Ipswich are in the top 6. -

The only reason all those things are so tinpot is because the owners themselves are so tinpot. This club was, is and always will be too big for them. All they've done since day one is try to drag us down to their low level. -

I don't think they are. It's about getting the best out of what you have - experts in the field. Managing people is more than stats and formations It's a subtle blend that they both (Warnock/Allardyce) are exceptionally good at. We'd be lucky to have either. -

I’m not saying that, for my money Furlong was the last defender and could have gone for the penalty incident. He could very easily have received 2 red cards in that game and yet left the pitch, without even a yellow to his name. -

Bohinen1983 replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I've had a one or two beverages and have come to conclusion that Ismael is on the right tracks. Whilst results are going against us we've been very unlucky, we're dominating games and have a clear style and pattern to our play. Whilst some of our signings haven't yet 'clicked', they've shown enough to make me believe that we'll not only be safe, but next season mount a serious challenge. -

Having your cake and eating it a bit there there. If he gives the penalty then the play changes and the elbow doesn’t happen. You can’t say event 1 happens, event 2 still happens but event 3 doesn’t. -

I do blame the ref it was a penalty but that was 5 seconds of a 96 minute game! If you can’t get a shot on target for 95.55 minutes then you deserve to lose and there’s no one to blame other than Val and the 14 players that put the Rovers shirt on today. I’d get sacked from my job if I performed as poorly as these players have recently yet they walk home with 1000’s a week 😡
