Interestingly, why weren't the club so keen to negotiate a new contract with Hyam when we activated his 1 year option? Why not just sit down and thrash out a new deal at that point?

If he accepted the offer, the discussion after the first game would just pivot back to people getting irate at dolan running into dead ends down the flanks again. We wouldn't shift him for money, because there are probably better players available for those willing to pay.

The business was originally started by their parents, The idiots who own Rovers inherited what was presumably a 20 odd year old successful business with an infrastructure in place to keep it ticking over, and in the time that they have been running it, they (at least look to - on account of the court case etc) have got themselves into hot water with their own government. They are also involved in pharmaceuticals, which is enough to turn us all into anti vaxers at the thought of it 😉

Exactly my point so I find it hard to have loads of sympathy for him. Saying it’s obvious he’s becoming really frustrated etc well he chose to accept the job do I wish that any new manager in the door is given the proper resources with little to no interference absolutely but there’s a clear history and patter that isn’t the case so accept the role at your own peril
