A club with a shred of ambition wouldnt respond with the attitude of "ok we will leave you to it." They would say heres an improved concrete offer before you go, we are desperate for you to stay. Been going on since the latter few years of Mowbrays time in terms of the silly names linked which we know they will just not pay for. It's even sillier now throwing several names out every day that might cost money or good wages when everything else the club is doing screams of downgrading and cost cutting. Have you ever thought maybe Dolan wants to test the market and see what is out there hence we haven't offer a contract. Gregg Broughton tried during his time but Dolan and his agent didn't want to agree to one whatever that offer was and he got contracts done like he did. We will be continually linked with players we have no intention of signing throughout the entire Transfer Window. This is a distraction tactic they have been using for years now. Not worth discussing 95% of them.

Travis, Beck was top class, Brittain was very good last year, Dolan's decent at this level, Ohashi and Gueye are good value considering what we paid for them. Carter still has potential and I rate Scott Wharton subject to fitness. That do you? Edit: And Batth

Absolutely. I haven't been a fan of him really since he was appointed, and a 6 game good run at the end of the season hasn't really changed my mind either. Lets see how he goes next season, unfortunately for him I think he will be hampered with a weaker squad than he has had this season. My point being you can't make a holier than thou comment like the above because people are frustrated about us not offering him a proper deal when you have been guilty of a swing of opinion many times in the past.

Irrelevant to us as he wont be signing here. Only relevance is how much compensation goes into the owners pockets. They are feeding out shite about not offering him a new deal yet to respect his right to a holiday. Some people will follow that shit, but many will see through that and ask why a proper contract hasnt gone in front of him and the others long before now. Seems we put one in front of him ages ago which was clearly not satisfactory and have just not bothered to offer something proper. Now its too late.
