He'll come out and say something on his podcast when he's clear on it, he likely made a mistake like everyone does. Theres not any point putting anything out there till you are 100% on it as why risk being wrong again. For me he does a decent job in difficult circumstances. Certainly prefer his output than many of his critics (not all!) on this board.

I'm not sure what the situation is with Aron Dønnum but if that was a red herring to either a) keep the Mathias Jorgensen transfer quiet or b) to flush out leaks then I will give credit to the club. Over the years we've had players taken off us at the last minute by other clubs and we've seen club leaks come back and bite us too. This shouldn't happen at Blackburn. Whether we dislike the owners/management or or not, we want the club to be run professionally and in the correct way, so if this was the case then fair play.

Its funny how Elliott Jackson on a day he bigged up the time he spent putting his articles together. Literally just removed the article on Donnum and the sentence at the end of the Jorgensen article, and just hasnt said anything else as if he hopes people wont notice.

Personally I like Morishita a lot and playing the RCM 352 really suits him with how he can combine down the right with different players. Was becoming very effective before his injury.

Key thing in that wing back role is can you relentlessly cover the length of the pitch for 90 mins. I know Donnum has played rwb a bit but I suspect doing it in France is a bit different to how ridiculously physical and draining the Championship is. Few players can. Hedges being able to convert into is quite rare as he is very athletic. Id hate for us to sign a player to play a role, find out they cant do it, and then be unsure what to do with them.

The most logical thing would be that Dønnum, Jørgensen and Cleary were all targets with Cleary main target as the cheaper and youngest option, until Barnsley negotiated their way out of the dealings. Then Rovers focused on Jørgensen and landed him. Hes not the type to score a load of goals. An aggressive midfielder who wins the ball back but lacks the technical ability to do very well at this level.
